Well Done! No pun intended. You clarified several issues for me, but I have a question. Ut seems probe wires must come must come out of the oven door. Wont this create a small opening between the oven door and the oven frame and affect the oven temperature? Thank you.

Background music distracts significantly from a very good presentation.

Looks great. Maybe I'll get this one. Only thing i don't completely agree with are the taste presets; they seem to be on the high side. If you want a medium-rare steak and you take it out at 140 and let it rest, you're not going to be eating a medium-rare steak. I also find it odd that the transmitters don't have magnets. I'd like it to stick to my metal grill shelves to be sure that the wind doesn't knock it onto the ground.

So change the setting to what you want like it says on the video. Easy fix.

Can the audio on the receiver be muted? When the temperature of the meat goes above the threshold for example.

Why would I get the TP27 ($80) over this ($50)? Seems weird since this has 2x the range (1000ft)

Is this as accurate as the thermapen one (like +-1°) and is it waterproof?

The transmitter shown is not like the one I received. How in the hell does one open the battery compartment on the transmitter that REALLY comes with the unit?

Since I can't find an answer anywhere, can the probes stay in the meat while in the oven?? And the cords just come out of the oven ? I'm so confused and not one video shows how to use this type of thermometer on an actual piece of meat.
    HELP !!

Hello, yes the probes can be left in the meat while in the ove. You can close the oven door on the wires it will not damage the unit.

Great concept but the transmitter shutdown every two hours and needs to be turned back on.

It's my understanding this issue has been resolved on the newer/updated model. You might give ThermPro a call.

Everyone says this thing is amazing and super accurate but mine is all over the place. Just yesterday I did 3 pork butts in my smoker and as soon as I put the probes in,the first one read 98 degrees, 2nd read 61 degrees and the 3rd 101degrees, and the 4th one was clipped on the grate about 2in. from the smokers probe and it read 287 when the smoker was set at 230. I confirmed with other thermos that all 3 butts were within 1 degree from one an other and the smoker temp was dead on at 230. Was very disappointed in this unit and it also kept dropping signal and was less than 125 to 150 feet apart

@@j.m.karsch9105 not sure how old the probes are but over time (or an issue) probes do lose their accuracy. I believe is you contact ThermoPro with pics of the "ice water test" showing your probes and another reference probe (showing the accurate temp) and they SHOULD send you new probes. Also, hopefully you have the updated unit that did not shutdown every two hours. Since my new cooker had built-in probes, i no longer use the THREE broken ThermoPro units I have.

@@WhereHasMySanityGone ya its only about 2 months old and just a couple cooks on it. They passed the ice test but once the temp gets much over maybe 50'ish they start reading all over the place. It also loses signal at about 100 to 130ft. Very disappointed in it

I guess it never occurred to any of you who made this video to show the correct way to use the probes. Do you insert it all the way into the meat or not? Unbelievable.
