Resident Evil one has already been remade for the GameCube in 2002! It was remastered in 2015 for current consoles. The game does not need to be remade again, it improves and surpasses the original, and it would be a waste of time and money. Re3 was already the shortest game so of course the cut content would piss people off. If they had added to it instead of taking away I think it could have been the best game in the series.
If we're talking literally the best "Remake" then it's RE1 Remake. And more importantly it's not even close. No other game on this list was not only perfectly preserved but enhanced as perfectly as RE 1 Remake. Not only is there no cut content but they added new areas, enemies, and mechanics. Other than nostalgic purposes there's almost no reason to play the original. The remake basically replaced it, the game is so good. No other RE remake can make that claim PERIOD. It may not be some's favorite personally but RE 1 Remake is objectively the best REMAKE Capcom has ever made. This isn't an opinion but common knowledge we should all except.

And the story is better. Re2 both on PS1 and the remake is just top tier imo. Can't beat it.
Yeh re2 was hands down the best one
I would put re1 over re2 over the sole fact that re2 remake's a/b playthroughs were not given nearly as much love and attention as the original. Still a fantastic game by most other metrics
If RE2R has synchronization between A and B scenario, it will be number 1 for me.
RE4R it's not only the best resident evil remake , it's the best resident evil game and maybe the best video game I ever played. Next is RE2R and if they didn't messed up the scenarios it would be 100 times better. RE3R was ok but definitely not better than the original
I can confirm.
Did Played Resident evil 4 back in the Playstation 2 area.
Wihout being a Resident Evil fan '
One of the best games I ever played.
Can't count who many playtrought I did.
RESIDENT EVIL 4 REMAKE makes a masterpiece to an even greater Masterpiece!
Re4 always gotta be number 1 , remake or original it doesn't matter. The core of the game is just timeless
I get an resident evil 4 remake ad not even a second before it's announced on the list. coincidence I think not
Actually, it is; we have never worked with Capcom on anything. UA-cam ads aren't as laborious as you might think.
@@spectrebull I knew it was it was just a jokr

I've been waiting for a video like this!!
Why should it Improved innovation discoveries when it’s a remake ?
Fans today can’t never be satisfied
The game design and advancement looks good here
Seems like people just didn’t like RE3 because they couldn’t time the dodge .
Resident 3 is probably one of the best games I played
It’s fast pace and fun
Not every re villain needs to be like Mr X
Nemesis was a beast and literally felt like a nemesis. Man stalked Jill the entire game
I love the 3 remake for the speed running aspect, 2 remake is my favorite out of the remakes (haven't beaten 4 yet but it's looking to surpass it) but 7 and especially 8 made m3 fall in love with the RE series again
The first remake always will be my favorite
Resident Evil 2002 remake was perfection. RE2 and RE3 cut locations and enemies, changed lore, and did away with the zapping system and live selection choices. They fall in line as reimaginings. Capcom even calls them that. I can't speak on RE4. Never played the original nor the reimagining.
they never called re2 and 3 remakes the fans are lmao
They called remake at the begin after they called it reimagining and they sucks re2 re 3 reimagined sucks
Although they are not remakes, I love RE 2 and RE Code Veronica chapters from Darkside Chronicles. That was my favorite version of RE 2.
For me too resident evil memory of a lost city was the real re 2 remake
1) Re4 Remake
2) Re1 Remake
3) Re2 Remake
4) Re3 Remake
Re1 and Re4 Remake does not remove anything noticeable from the game while keeping the core gameplay and tone aspects and improving them. I love Re2 Remake, but them removing the zapping system from it was a bit disappointing. Still a fantastic game.
you forgot that re4 removed separate ways and U-3 LMAO
@@TheRedFoxMcCloud To be fair the Gamecube version didn't release with Seperate Ways either.
And yes U3, the Volcano room, and what the Construction tunnel🤷♂️😂. Besides U3 there was nothing spectacular they removed. I didn't care for the sections they did remove anyway besides U3
@@antviper135 i feel like they never thought of seperate ways when the game first game out on gamecube and yea i get what you mean but it is funny how people are freaking out over some lame ass boss like U-3 lol
@@TheRedFoxMcCloud Yea Separate Ways probably should've been released with the Remake. I get why they do it. To have people come back to the game instead of releasing it all at once. Hopefully U3 is a boss in Separate Ways, and that it is free (Most likely not happening)😂
I thoroughly enjoyed re3r. I’m paying Re2r for the first time and it’s great, but I miss the ability to dodge. My only complaint of 3 is how short it was, but it was fun!
This.
RE1R is still the best. And it's not called Resident Evil HD, that's the 2015 remaster of the 2002 remake
RE4 remake not only the best remake but it's also the best Resident Evil game of all time
Ehh code Veronica is way better shows why Leon is inferior to chris.also Leon never faced a real threat
Re1 is better
RE remake came out in 2002 and it still looks amazing to this day
I agree! Love RE4 Remakeso far
@@samuraiblack8840
Bias opinión.
Not going to lie, I wasn’t sure on RE4R… but I absolutely love it.
Code veronica needs the remake treatment, probably more than any on this list.
I think you dont know what a remake is... Resident evil franchise only has 4 remakes including the re4... The rest you ranked are Just ports or remasters not remakes... 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
REmake *UNDER* RE2 REmake!??
Wth NO!
Wo made this video is ignorant
Re1 remake is the best gold first place
Yeah, you guys are playing fast and loose with some of the “remakes” on this list. RE Revelations is a port/ remaster, not a remake. I can see the point about RE DS, but Revelations most certainly doesn’t meet the definition of remake.
When I saw that game I was like HUH ? If that’s the case re4 has been a remake before the remake lol
The remakes for 2 and 4 are elite. Really enjoying 4 at the moment
Resident Evil 4 remake is now my favorite game in the series with Resident Evil 2 remake being a close second.
Loving RE4R!!! So rad and fun. I’m about to fight Verdugo right now 😱😭
Words could not describe how giddy I was when Leon said “the line” after the village fight.
I literally cannot understand the hype of RE4 and I tried multiple times to like it simply because everyone sees something in it that I don't but RE2 is superior on every level.
Average Player: “Say, you’re pretty good at playing this game.”
RE fan: “Been so ever since I played the original Resident Evil 4.”
Average Player: “Original? When did that came out?”
RE fan: “2005.”
Average Player: 😲
What if capcom releases resident evil 3 but it has a longer story, and more zombies.
RE2
RE4
RE1
RE3
If they were to remake RE1 in the new engine, it would easily bump 4 for me.
From Remake I'd put
1* RE4R
2* RE2R
3* RE HD
4* RE3R
5* RE Revelations (this one is almost a tie with RE3R)
6* RE Deadly Silence
I just want Code Veronica remake!
4:48. - 4:54 (HEAVY SIGH)
I'm going to say this and I'm only going to say this once cuz I'm tired of hearing it from these new stubborn fans. Resident Evil one has already been remade for the GameCube in 2002! It was remastered in 2015 for current consoles. The game does not need to be remade again, it improves and surpasses the original, and it would be a waste of time and money. I don't give a damn if you fans don't like tank controls or if you want the over-the-shoulder experience. Either enjoy the Resident Evil 1 remake for what it is or find another horror series to play
Tank controls is actually not bad. I was surprised how easy it was to learn the control scheme.
Over the shoulder sucks and new control sucks
Resident evil 4 remake number 1 for me
Re 2 remake kinda sucked, the fact that zombies can take 10 shots to the head and not die is ridiculous. RE 4 remake is hands down the best.
You really gotta learn the difference between a remake and a remaster, they are not the same
I don’t think RE3 remake is an bad as people constantly try to make it out to be.
For a full price game at the time, yes it was. And a step down from RE2. BUT... it is fun, the story is engaging, and replays with unlocks can be a blast.
It was, especially comparing what wasn’t there from the original that should have been
@@Maxx________ original game is trash. Only old fucks like it better than the remake
Re3 was already the shortest game so of course the cut content would piss people off. If they had added to it instead of taking away I think it could have been the best game in the series.
Its not bad, but considering it was suppose to be a reimagination of a great game, it felt short
Even comparing it to re2 remake
You know why? Because Shinji Mikami made it. He’s no longer at Capcom and left in 2005. He’s the Godfather of survival horror.
Hate when people claim "facts"
Chill dude.
@@bubba418 if we're talking objectively best Remake than yeah FACTUALLY it's 1. For the reasons I pointed out. You know what I hate? People who don't understand facts. You can personally prefer any of these games as your favorite. That's fine, that's your opinion but OBJECTIVELY the best Remake is 1.
@@t-wrecks9866 wow you must be fun at parties then if people don't understand your "facts"
@@bubba418 you're right I'm because I only associate with people intelligent enough to understand my points and explanations. And are capable of having a friendly verbal discussion about various topics. To where even if we disagree we can clearly understand the other's point of view because they explained it in a coherent and logical manner. Unfortunately not a lot of that on the internet. Just mostly ignorant people that believe that saying "well in my opinion" is somehow a justification for whatever incompetent thing they have to say.
RE4 remake easily number 1 for me. I’m on my 3rd play through. I haven’t played a game this much back to back since RE4 back in 05
Nice! But I'd put the 2002 Remake in 2nd place.
I'm currently playing through RE4 and it's great but I have to say RE2 is my favourite still and does a better job of the survival horror feel.
I have not been able to put RE4R down
Well.. I am in the minority. Remake 3 because I am team Jill. Pros: Jill looks cool with new glossy graphics. Cons: basic random story line, bad aim down sight and missing map areas. Honest rating 6.5/10 (it is still very playable especially if you get it on a sale). Jill fan rating 8/10
Resident evil 4 is the best game both the original and the remake
Just watched both RE 3 and 4 remakes complete stories, and I have to say I really enjoyed RE4. Tje level of depth they went with the characters makes us feel something about all of them. The writing is just very good.
Now for RE5 remake but instead of Chris and sheva but with Leon and Jill instead for the leads
Ashley would be better pick considered how is she in R4make or in another game
Nah not with getting rid of Sheva
@@FIREDAN075 it’s synergy these two are popular because of their remakes doing and re doing re 5 but with a different setting make scenes
@@The810kid sheva only appeared once and most famous for her is being a worse AI npc plus she’s pretty forgettable and never appeared or referenced on any of the series even in the winders era games plus punching the bolder that’s all

Let’s talk about what’s next?
0,1 and CV as the origins trilogy remade
I know it might take longer but to fill in the gap
They can make revelations 3
And then the trilogy so the road is clear for a new mainline RE 9 game
My top three is
1-resident evil 4 remake
2-resident evil 1 remake
3- resident evil 2 remake
Resident evil 1 remake is no 1 for me, many things were missing from re4r
RE3R is my favourite and RE4R bored the shit out of me
Yup the RE4 remake tops the original in every Single way
heres my ranking (worst to best, but dont think that I dont like "worst" I love all the remakes equally but if I had to rank them this would be how)
RE3
RE0
RE
RE2
RE4
RE0 isn't a remake
Resident Evil 4 Remake is #1🏆
Resident Evil 2 Remake is close but stays in #2🎖
The mojo guys miss the point.
For me
I think re4 and re2 will be tied.
Re2 honestly I love how creepy it was, the puzzles were more challenging.
The police station felt like a character itself.
But re4
I gotta admit it was just fun start to finish.
And anyone who's interested in the franchise I'd recommend 4 first.
It's not to scary but still has elements of horror.
I cant knock it down any points due to how fun the game was, but idk I'll always look at re2 remake as a true resident evil experience
The first Resident Evil game needs a remake
No
I like all my favorite Re remake on the PS3 or on the PS4 or on the switch like Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil HD and Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4
Right now RE4R takes the 1 place in my opinion it was so good
Resident evil 4 remake is the best RE game ever
Too far its coo but its not the top a remake of the og game was never gonna be 100% due to how the original is written and its not 100% 😢 i say re1 remake is the best because every single place and thing in the og is in it with new story places and whole new areas added basically what remakes are supposed to do but it is such an improvement on everything and re4 vs re4r is debatable to whats the better game i think
@@jimmydeanismydadcharlieisf4119 re4r is basically the best , it is improved all, especially characters like Ashley (dam she is great), Luis (dam he is great too), Leon and such. Not to mention gameplay
It already is for me. I love how much more challenging it is from the original. Professional in the remake compared to professional in the original is like night & day.
RE1 Remake is my favorite
Not fucking Revelaitons above RE3R. List is automatically invalidated.
Resident Evil 2002 is the best. RE2 2019 and RE3 2020 both cut locations and enemy types. Changed important lore from the originals. But worst of all took away the zapping system and live selection choices. Highly disappointing reimaginings. I can't comment on RE4R cause I haven't played it. Same goes for the original RE4.
Honestly, I like that Nemesis was restricted to scripted segments. As cool as having a stalker enemy is, Mr. X becomes far more annoying than scary real quick.
play it on hardcore, mr x is perfectly written
@@bepohal not really, he’s slow and pretty stupid and more often than not, just gets in the way
@@iamskyfall well the majority thinks he is perfectly fine. he isn't that slow and it would not make sense to make him as fast or even faster than you are. on hardcore you do not shoot every zombie so him coming after you is exciting and terrifying
Leon Kennedy don't miss
I think RE4Make was quite mediocre. RE2Make is MUCH MUCH better.
As someone who never played the original re3, i liked the remake for what it was. A quick, brisk little adventure
In my honest and personal opinion:
RE1,RE2 and RE4 have the best remakes.
The top 3 are my top 3 RE games, in that order too lol so video gets a thumbs up from me.
I just realize that both RE2 & RE4 the protagonist is no other then Leon S Kennedy. The GOAT 🐐
Lol, the "janky dodge" in re3 remake is only janky if you don't understand the timing. It's one of my favorite mechanics in an RE game to-date. Makes me a little sad that the RE4 remake's "evade" is contextual rather than on-demand. Dive-rolling behind Ganados to knife em in the back would've been a real treat. Not that 4 wasn't exceptional. Guessing you probably loved the contextual dodge in Revelations. Astonished that that was rated above 3.
Ranking Revelations above 3 is a joke. Idk how anyone can play those games back to back and say Rev is better. The Dodge in 3 is awesome, I love getting a perfect dodge with the knife.
Agreed! My favorite part of RE3. I hope they bring it back for an RE1 or 5 remake. STARS members should have more advanced movement, even if it's their first time facing zombies.
@@DonHewlett3 Right there with you. It's far from a perfect game, but it catches a lot more criticism than it deserves. It also has some of the best unlockable weapons in any RE game. The unlockable weapons for the remake of 3 blow the ones from the remake of 2 out of the water. Like, a perfect headshot pistol that actually has limited ammo? Yes please!
@@Volt35 Or better yet, remakes of 1 and the Outbreaks!
Capcom made a huge mistake to release RE3 remake after *1 year* of RE2 remake. No wonder the game is so rushed and too short. Even RE1 remake took 6 years to release from original game. They've should just released it at least 2 or 3 years after RE2 remake. I'm glad they took the lesson and took RE4 remake for a long time.
You don't deserve to make another Resident Evil list after putting outbreak on the worst list lol.
#1 is re 4 remake and it’s not close imo. There wasn’t a single section I was bored playing it. Re 2 is top 2 but the sewer section just made me wanna finish it asap than try to
Enjoy it. Also, the boss fights in rev4 are significantly more engaging
What u mean where they took all the good parts out of the del lago, el gigante and menendez fights , gimmie a break.
Bruh re4 remake had boring ass sections in to
I love Resident Evil 3 remake
RE4 Remake at 1 and then RE2 Remake at 2, for me!
Where's bingo going, everyone?
