I love the clarity of the reviews that you provide. There’s no need for excessive editing, or tacky graphics. Thank you for being so direct into the point. I have no clue why you don’t have more subscribers.
Yeah MobileTechReview and MrMobile are 2 of my favorite reviewers who I can listen to all day. Lisa for the tech specs and attention to detail (she literally was a UI designer), and Mr. Mobile for the unbiased and entertaining videos.
How do we get this great lady over one million subs?????????? She is more informative and HONEST than most and very well researched and professional......
I kind of wish Google would put the G4 in the 1st fold body and sell it as the "non-Pro" Pixel Fold. I really like the passport style over his new one.
I now have both the Z Fold 6 and the Pixel 9 pro fold and can't decide which one I love better. The Z Fold 6 has the s-pen and more multi-tasking capabilities - but I don't use those features as much as I thought I would. The Pixel 9 pro fold offers great usability on the cover screen and a mini-tablet experience on the inner display. It charges slowly but the battery life is no slouch at all so no real issues there. I may just keep them both.
@@nycpwcsi Same here. It's only been a week so I'll have to see if I'm just in the honeymoon phase - but surprisingly - Pixel has an edge on usability so far.
@@bigdrews4360 I'm keeping both even though I'm more partial to the pixel fold because of the bigger screens. Performance is fine and both are great phones. Can't go wrong with either one.
When they eventually come down in price (hopefully), I'd much prefer this form factor over the Galaxy Fold's candybar style. Also I like the new hairstyle!
Lisa, you're awesome! I always look forward to your review on the newest technology keep up the good work. I switched from the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the pixel 9 Pro XL over the iPhone 16 Pro Max this year. If the funds were available I would have gone to the fold maybe in the future
Hey! It’s been a few years since I’ve seen one of your foldable reviews, but I remember you used to say you were bullish on them and believed they were the future. I’m curious, do you still daily one? I’ve seen a lot of other UA-camrs stop using them over time, like Linus.
@@mobiletechreview Wow, thanks for the reply. I was hoping you'd say yes; I think foldable tech deserves more patience than most people are giving it. Do you still use a slab for your personal?
I have the original Pixel fold and I know people always complain about the heat but the only time I have issues is with 4k video processing. Otherwise I've never had issues. i watch lots of you tube and other videos with no issues but I only play word games so I never use it for gaming.
Still haven't made up my mind. Pixel for the more usable outer display vs Samsung for still arguably the nicer set of displays and more mature software.
Here are the key points from the video: * The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a new design with a normal aspect ratio display (6.3 inches) on the outside, making it more pocketable and less awkward to use than its predecessor. * It is powered by the Google Tensor G4 processor, which is optimized for AI tasks but not as powerful as the Snapdragon processors found in other flagship phones. * The phone has a bigger inner display (8 inches) that is almost square, making it suitable for reading and consuming content but not ideal for watching videos. * It runs on Android 14 and will receive 7 years of OS updates, pixel feature drop updates, and security updates. * The camera system is not as high-end as the one found on the Pixel 9 Pro, but it still takes good pictures thanks to Google's computational photography. * The battery life is better than the previous generation and comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and OnePlus Open. * Google has improved the software experience for the bigger screen, but it still lags behind Samsung in terms of features and maturity. * Overall, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a significant improvement over its predecessor, with a more practical design, better battery life, and improved software. However, it is not the most powerful folding phone on the market, and its camera system is not as good as the one found on the Pixel 9 Pro. I hope this summary is helpful!
Would love for you to get your hands on Huawei mate xt tri fold phone. This is how I always thought folding phones should be, although I think it's China release only.
The industry needs to collectively diss Google more for refusing to include fast charging capabilities. The same goes for Samsung and Apple. Screw all of 'em. I just bought a Xiaomi phone with 120 W charging, included in the box!
The major deal-breaker for 99% of consumers remains the price. It is tough to make a reasonable, valued argument for spending upwards of $1800 on this or Fold6, which is why Fold sales have already slowed and are even declining in some regions. Reasonable people with $1800 would easily prefer to spend that $1800 on a smartphone and tablet combo that will be significantly more productive and superior. But there is a tiny dedicated collective of fold users that will keep pushing these as the future, and, despite the reality, will not accept that after 5-6 years, they still are no more than a tiny sector for a few people. I am not a Flip fan either, but I see that carving a sustainable path, but again, the value perspective is hard to accept for the majority.
For this phone the pixel 9 pro fold . Has anybody had the issue where they open it and close it? That sounds crinkling like you're opening up a candy wrapper or something like that,.?
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Thanks for the video which I am sure is as good as always. But haven't watched it...foldable phones are price gougingly too expensive. I say this as a 3 year happy owner of a Galaxy Fold 3...another great phone but will be my first and last foldable at these prices. There is zero reason for foldables to remain artifically highly priced at this point ....other than to serve that small % that like to spend too much and consider themselves a 'premium customer' ! :)
Why don't Google have a stylus? This could be a note taking machine if it had one. Don't especially care for Samsung, but I need to keep track of my employees appointments. Had the Microsoft Duo and it work beautiful but screen broke.
Here to comment for the yt algorithm overlords Hate that samsung/google are going the Paywall route for these "features" and the online requirement kinda defeats the purpose. Hope cmf/nothing doesnt go that route.

Lisa - you're honestly the most underrated mobile / laptop reviewer on all of UA-cam. Thanks for all that you do.
She is the best!

It's so refreshing not to see a tech reviewer attempting to rip us off with a $50/yr wallpaper app. Keep up the great videos!
Yay!!! I just picked up the Pixel 9 pro fold a week ago. So happy to see this review!
It's that time again. Upgrading my device and I can always count on Lisa for amazing reviews. 🥰
So surprised Lisa has not had 1 million subs yet. The channel is one of the best, honest and well scripted tech review videos for a very long time.
Soon. She's going to get it. Soon. She's just awesome with all these tech reviews. My go to guru!❤
Cool she still doing reviews for 15 years

Awesome review Lisa and crew I’m inching closer and closer to my first folding phone.

Pretty sure charging for the Fold is 21W, it’s the 9 Pro XL that specifically has 45W

I love the look of it open but yikes the rounded corners on the front screen with the squared edges of the housing just looks atrocious
When are they going to give up on the folding phones.
9 pro fold or xl?/?
Forget about the phone. Where can I get that T shirt?
I'm watching on my honor magic V3 ❤
I have this phone, the fold screen is nice but it's otherwise a downgrade to my old Oppo. The charging speed is a bit of a joke in 2024.
The industry needs to collectively diss Google more for refusing to include fast charging capabilities. The same goes for Samsung and Apple. Screw all of 'em. I just bought a Xiaomi phone with 120 W charging, included in the box!
It definitely does not support 45w fast charging. It's 21w wired and only 7.5w wireless charging.
