- Well what started out as a field shelter/ark has now turned in to three separate pig houses and pens! More on why and when soon but the important thing is that their settling in quarters are all ready and secure. Won't be long before they are out and about enjoying the fields though.

Love watching doggie eat EVERYTHING each episode. She’s loving farm life
She found the cats litter tray yesterday! 🤢
Great stuff Tim, Love watching the farm develop. We bought ours 4 years ago, my favourite jobs are the ‘farm’ ones, fencing, used timber, big nails…
Pleased to see the left over materials, offcuts being used for projects and excellent creative ideas! Thanks for great video, Tim
I think you need to get in touch with the artisan who did your lead on your previous roof to cap this off - just to fully over engineer this fully! Great use of leftovers, but does go against man-code as you should store/stack all “useful” bits for a “future project” that never materialises!
Plenty left in the stack! Plus it’s already growing so fear not, a healthy ‘float’ of hoarded material will be ever present!
Any pig would be thrilled!
And we've recently seen multiple occasions where a homestead rescue team advised penning pregnant, birthing, new, and aggressive pigs. It's great to be setup in advance! Well done.
Tim, haven't watched the video yet and I am so excited. As always you combine DIY and livestock and bring a fantastic take on " THE GOOD LIFE"
I remember Tom and Barbara's pig escaped in one episode!
Don’t joke, we know it’s coming just hope it’s down the fields not the lanes. 😬
I am loving Farmer Tim and his Girls! I am originally from Kentucky and I have never heard of free range pigs. We had pigs when I was young, for our own consumption, and my ex-husband's grandfather raised pigs and sold to market. I can only imagine that free ranging pigs smells very much better than keeping them penned does!
Let’s hope so. They respect electric fence well so we hope to move them around the fields and trees every few days.
It's nice to hear the old music back, well done editor!
Love the resourcefulness Tim, well done! 👍
Great to see you on the tools again Tim, and so glad the pigs will be free ranging👍🏽🙏🏼
Hate to admit it but im majorly envious of the farm 😂 its mine and the mrs dream to have one 🤞
Those pigs dont realise how good theyre going to have it, living in a 5* hotel 👍
Great use of leftover materials can't wait to see them in use with the pigs 😀 👍
Pigs!!!! Class, best animals to have around. So much personality.... You wanna make it strong Tim, they will wreck everything, so strong and adventurous
It’s been ages since we had pigs around so looking forward to it! 😀
@@TheRestorationCouple they are so much fun. We have 2 gilts heading towards 2 years old, we have them to clear land and have been such a pleasure/challenge.
Watch out. An electric fence may not be enough. Pigs are clever and will be able to figure out in a few hours if it is off.
@@simonthompson15 all these have grown up on two strands so should be well used to it by now and the only way to be able to keep them moving over the fields. We will always have the perimeter fencing at least as back up. 😬
Making a pig shack while playing with the dog and ending up being a pig... What a life! 😃
Might have mist seen but I think you should fix through the high section not in the valley. We have some old stables and some one fixed throw the valley in half the roof and all the timber rots out around the fixinging.
Make sure your pig doesn't get covered in ink Tim. It happens when when they leave the pen😂
I'm at the stage now where I click like on your videos before I've even watched them 😂
Looking forward to the livestock Tim👍🏼
I really like the construction projects, Great content😎
Live in France… and my French wife and neighbor decided they would raise some chickens… being retired guess who got most of the work building coops/ pens etc. I did though insist on heritage light Sussex breed, so bought one cock and three hens…I’ve named them George and the Georgette’s. I’m only saying this because George crowing and the Georgette’s chuckling are a whole lot of fun! All the very best with your farm!
Steve
Our Labradoodle does the same as Maggie. As soon as the saw comes out he turns up for off cuts to chew. The only issues are, one tripping over him and two him crewing the bit you want to use rather than waist….
In your opinion, what do I use to insulate an outside wall, inside header to stop a cold bridge? Thanks.
The Dictionary definition of a living legend is “ TIM” 👍
Come on @Boschuk sort this man out with some of the best stuff you have to put to the test , get in before that black and yellow brand does 😉🙂
We politely turn down a variety of colours.. just seems a bit stupid to ditch a perfectly decent set of tools for a different flavour. 😂
With the huge number of tasks on the Farm, do you continue to derive income from photography? Thank you for taking the time to reply.
We have budgeted to allow us to work nearly full time on the project for a year or two so apart from a few clients it’s full time this. 👍
Bacon butties …….here we come !
Are sheds waterproof?
amazing work well done
Welcome to farm life mend and make do
Hello very good job 😍, salutations de Suisse 🇨🇭 et à bientôt 👍
So is the plan to become farmers? Would be good to hear what the longer term plans are...
We’ve been sharing these with our Patreon but will share bits and bobs as we go. 😀
I'd love to keep pigs!
I do but mine are all in pieces in my freezer.
Good re-use of leftovers :D
Get the cheap screw fix thicknesser planer, if you’re using all that old wood for every job. It will clean up all those old boards nicely
We have put a bunch back to put through the planer that are clean boards. 👍
How will you "muck out" that pig shed?
With children! (Only in here for a few days before they are out on the fields) Fortunately they keep the bedding pretty clean though.
@@TheRestorationCouple Thanks for that update, I could imagine you on hands and knees cleaning out LOL. Well done to you both a superb move, great for us to watch the progress. Your work is always well thought through and is interesting to watch. Thanks again.
Love your work 👍
Maggie needs some doggy ear protection. Lol.
Tim needs a bigger more powerful saw, come on all you tool company’s help him out!!
Or I could stop grumbling and get the extension lead out! 😂
The dog might chew through the lead🙈, it seems to like everything else!
Have you got a link to your metric only tape meassure? I can't find them anywhere!
It’s actually one that came in the girls tool set. Handy as well everything I ask someone to read my tape measure they just go for the bigger numbers and shout back in inches. 🙄
Yes, it's a wood dog.
My Bosch GKS 18V-57 G circular saw went back. It was underpowered and struggled. Fortunately it stopped working within warranty and I got a refund. The GKS 18V-68 GC BITURBO that replaced it is far better (and slightly bigger). Both are track compatible.
Will take a look. Their saw has done well with sheet material over the 6-7 years I’ve had it for but tools change a lot in that time I guess!
Missing the video intros, Tim. Do you have some ideas in mind?
Gathering the content for an intro clip so we can have a regular start if that’s what you mean?
Really enjoying the videos but have to let you know that the sound quality on this video is awful in places. Between the wind and the banging, can’t hear what you’re saying. Please be mindful for future videos.
Not following the order you're doing things in, pigs before a roof over your head? Bonkers
You don’t need planning permission for pigs. 😉
@@TheRestorationCouple I don't think a house built with pigs is going to pass inspection Tim
