- Hello Everyone!
This was the first episode of my new limited series, Engines of The Long Island Railroad! In this episode, I talked about the main workhouse of the LIRR's diesel fleet, the EMD DE30AC & DM30AC locomotives! Built from 1997 through 1999, these locomotives replaced the aging EMD GP38 locomotives and have pulled the famous C3s ever since! I'm sorry about my voice through part of the video, I was sick throughout most of the audio recording of this video so I apologize.

My home branch is also the Montauk branch, and I had an issue on a DM30AC when all of the cabin lights went out at Hampton Bays, and we just continued on into Montauk!
Yeah, wow, I mean the lights flicker on the M3s but never have they just gone without them!
