Hello, it’s The American Railfan! I’m a railfanner from New York that railfans mostly in the tri-state area. I also make aviation-related videos, basketball & baseball videos, and videos of video games and my dog.
I often like to planespot at LaGuardia & JFK Airports for plane spotting, and The Long Island Railroad and New York City Subway for railfanning as these are the closest to my home, but, often enough I adventure off to railfan and planespot upstate, on the Northeast Corridor, and elsewhere. A ride aboard Delta Airlines Flight #999 from New York LaGuardia to Detroit Wayne Metro Airport
On 8/5, I began my trip to visit family in Michigan. I took flight #999, which is a 5:02 departure from New York's LaGuardia Airport running nonstop to Detroit's Wayne County Metro Airport. Maybe if I go for Christmas or next year, I'll film a true trip report style video.

I decided to hit Lindenhurst Station on the Babylon Branch to kickoff my August Railfanning. Hello Everyone! On 2/20, I decided to take a ride on Long Island Rail Road #2152 from Penn Station to Farmingdale. On 4/1/24, I decided to go to New Hyde Park after doing some returns at the Garden City Roosevelt Field Mall. I saw a couple of trains, including multiple M9s and diesels, unfortunately no M3s. My home branch is also the Montauk branch, and I had an issue on a DM30AC when all of the cabin lights went out at Hampton Bays, and we just continued on into Montauk!
