Now THIS lovely demo shows the true sonic capabilities of this Tiny but Truly Marvelous Wonder that's been rather underestimated. Plus, it has the Superb Reliability and electronics build Quality of Roland Boss. Fantastically wonderful video and very well Researched indeed! THANK YOU very, very, very much.
Ok now I can hear it definitely sounds better than HX stomp. That ambience reverb sounds like taken from the most expensive stand alone units. Phaser, ring mod, echorec, trem... Damn... All sound brilliant!
The GT-1000 core is an amazing piece of kit with an insane level of depth once you start getting your head around the assigns. For example you can set assign that controls an effect parameter based on input level so as you play harder it increases the feedback of a flanger etc. Combining that with the parallel routing and you have all the tools to make some truly unique sounds which I think would probably be much harder to implement on other devices. I definitely miss mine, it wasn't really right for what I wanted at the time but thinking about grabbing one again at some point to play with some of the delays and routing options.
Thanks a lot for you videos, it's really nice to see a demo with cool songs and not big rock solos ! Which pedal would you recommend between this boss GT-1000CORE and the Line 6 Hx Stomp (for a dream pop/shoegaze player, for live and studio use with an amp) ? Is one easier than the other for editing your own sounds in your opinion ?
Thanks! I prefer HX Stomp because I feel like it is more versatile. I think both are easy to use. You’ll just need to spend a bit of time to learn it first. It won’t take long though.
Jesus Christ! BOSS should kick their other product demoers (let's just call that a "word" and move on) in the nuts, and hire you. I might've bought one over buying into the Helix had I seen you work your magic with it in this way...even if all you're doing it showcasing the quality of the FX. The thing is...THAT is what is lacking with the BOSS people. They have something great, and they don't know how to showcase it...but they sure do know how to fuck that opportunity up better than anyone. Great video once again.
I actually Thank Jesus Christ for bringing forth such obviously Ingenious engineers to work so diligently at Roland Boss. Plus, the Superb Quality build of the controls and electronics of Boss products is absolutely World Class par excellence. Boss and even Peavey are rather underrated for their value factor.
I don’t know about the SL-2 unfortunately. Never tried it. Looking at the manuals of both devices might help you. I’m sure they sound the same but one of them probably has more features.
Have you tried the GX100? it would be amazing to see a demo like this. Some people say they sound close enough you wouldnt hear a difference, however the GT1000 sounds a lot wider and fuller in every video Ive seen
I'm nearly 100% sure the sounds on the GT are the same quality as the ones on the MD-500, which there are comparisons of (against the Mobius). To my ears the MD/GT and GFI's Synesthesia were both notably better sounding than the Mobius. There's some stuff on the MD that isn't on the GT (dimension chorus is the big one but I believe the rising and falling modes for phaser are on the MD and not the GT). The Synesthesia has more filters than the GT (unsure about the he MD), and I believe a couple other things beyond the Boss but not sure. Mobius may have an even broader range - I believe it has a bit crusher (don't think I the Synesthesia does but maybe). For flexibility and affordability, don't sleep on the Source Audio or TC modulations, either.
For now I must say HX Stomp but I've been using the Stomp since it came out and I only had the GT-1000CORE for about two weeks. I can easily navigate the HX Stomp and make it do what I want and that definitely affects my answer here. I don't know what it would be if I spent a couple of months with the GT exclusively.
@@boimesa8190 GT has a “wave pedal” which is essentially an assignable LFO. It only has sine and triangle waveforms but it can still come in handy. Both HX and GT allow assigning the switches or an external expression pedal to lots of different parameters. Not exactly mod matrix perhaps but close. We’d have more only if more people requested features like these :)
Do Noise….are you seeing this message? Can you please answer this question: When you recorded this, was is direct out, into your interface? Or, were you playing through guitar amps & mic’ing them? My wonder is if this unit will achieve your tones, as a stand-alone (without relying on amps & mic’ing).
Hi, I recorded direct to interface. No amps, mics or any other processing is involved. Just guitar>looper>GT1000>interface. You can get the same tone or a similar tone with just the GT1000. The only difference will be your guitar.
My GT-1000 and GT-1000CORE presets:

By far the best demo ever of this pedal
Thanks so much!
This was a incredible video and helped me better understand what my GT 1000 is capable of. Thanks for taking the time to record this.

Great demo. Love my GT1000 CORE. Easy and intuitive UI once you understand it's structure. And great sounds and FEEL

How easy is it to accommodate parallel signal paths vs HX Stomp?
It is very easy and the GT allows multiple parallel paths.
@@DoNoise cool, thanks.
Tasteful playing for a unit I really love
I think Boss really stepped up their game, with this most recent series. Enough to go back to them.

Great vídeo!

リバースディレイはノスタルジックな感じがしました。
The poly octaver is a killer I find, allows to have a bass line while playing un affected higher notes.
Wow. So it seems it's just taken from BOSS OC-5. Nice! 👍
@@post.sonitum exactly!
Can you do this to boss gx100?
I’m thinking about it if I get a Boss GX100. Maybe soon.
Please do!!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing
Can i use this as just a three effect pedal that goes in my amp fx loop? I haven't been able to see a video that does that yet
Yes you can do that. You can just disable the amp and cab models and use any effect you want.

I think their demo-people are just comming from/focused on a specific crowd of guitarists and that's shame.

@wayne meinhard Jesus was a huge multi effects fan, it says so in the bible
i love this pedaal
How about tap tempo in delay modes? Is it works? Does Tera Echo has a freeze function as in regular pedal?
Hi Friend,
Is Zoom MS 70 cdr a good pair to GT 1000 core?
GT-1000Core already has a lot of effects but if you need more yeah the Zoom Multistomp might be a good option.
@@DoNoise Thanks for the advice!
Your Presets are incredibly awesome!!!
Have you tried the Zoom MS 70 CDR+?
I haven’t tried that yet unfortunately

Hi, as a live rig, do I still need a DI box to connect directly to the house mixer?
Would it be possible to control the effect settings (delay time etc.) through a midi?
Yes it is possible if I remember correctly. You should check out the manual to see how it is done.
Have you tried the GX100? it would be amazing to see a demo like this. Some people say they sound close enough you wouldnt hear a difference, however the GT1000 sounds a lot wider and fuller in every video Ive seen

Tonex ou GT 1000 core ?
I like running delays in parallel via a divider. Shame the other delay slots aren’t as versatile as the Master though
Agreed, those basic delays can come in handy but I wish they weren’t as basic.
Someone ever compared these modulations with Strymon Mobius? I want to know how close it is
