My senior practicum preceptor always told me to “trust but verify” when it comes to shift report

Thanks for this video! As a 30 mother going to nursing school I’m definitely nervous about forgetting something. I’ve been a nurse aide for ten years and love taking care of people but nursing makes me nervous lol. I’m glad to hear that’s somewhat okay!

Thank you so much for these important tips. As a brand new nurse (6mo) in, these are very helpful to me. I work night shift and some nights are really crazy and tough. How did you survive your first weeks/months of being on your own? were you good at prioritization? how did you overcome this? I feel like during the first hour of my shift, I am all over the place, my head is spinning until after I finish passing meds. please help a sister with a routine on how you survived those few months. Thanks.
