Hi Friends, Every individual may have different experience and opinion about their VW. I live in Thane (Maharashtra) and own a VW Vento TDI Highline, Sept 2011 model. 7 years now. The car has crossed 105,000+ Kms and this is my 1st sincere user's review. You may find the review little exhaustive but cannot express anything lesser than this. Pros 1) VW Vento.... a 1.6 ltr. Diesel Turbo Charged TDi Engine is so refined that U actually feel the power of turbo while driving on clear roads, driving on expressways and quick over-takings in city as well as highways. The engine doesn't let u down anywhere. Crossed 1 lakh Kms and the engine is performing the same. Infact it has became more smoother and younger after a software update during 90,000 Kms service. The engine is little noisy during the 1st start of the day but inside the cabin it is well insulated, calm and cool, hence the noise doesn't enter the cabin. I understand that the TDI engines are little noisier as compared to Hyundai CRDi and Fiat DDiS engines. But once you drive for 2-3 kms then it is as smooth as a petrol motor. All goes very well. 2) If u are a driving enthu.. or a frequent traveler and love to travel in peace and comfort It is a fun to drive car,... go for it. 3) Seats are one-of-the-best in class, could be more better but no complaints. Good suspensions. Had frequent road trips of 500-600 kms at a single stretch (for instance : Mumbai to Goa) with 5 seats (passengers) and boot loaded fully with luggage for 5 people for 4 to 5 days trip. Have also traveled seating on the rear seat with 2 more passengers (of average size around 55-75 kg each. Total 3 on the rear seat.) thru-out the return journey from Mumbai to Goa. Very comfortable ride and no back pains at-all. My height for reference is 5'-6" weighing 80 Kg. Though tall and heavy weight guys may face a problem for three at the rear due to transmission hump running at the center. 4) Steering is ekdam makkhan. u can still turn it just with one finger. 5) Ample storage space ( big boot) . 6) Simple but premium interior gives u a classy feel. 7) Good road presence and ride quality. 8) Wonderful built quality. In short :- Luxury, comfort, performance & safety. Cons 1) Clutch is hard. Feels uncomfortable during bumper to bumper city traffic. My Friends don't want to drive my car in traffic. 2) Limited service stations. Have to take 1 or 2 days prior appointment and have to plan your day accordingly. Pickup drop facility is also provided by the service centers. I see in the review of some costumers facing problem for the same. I Have asked for a pickup and drop facility for periodic services twice where i have been lucky to get a good response. 3) Initial cost is high. Also cost of spare parts is on higher side. 4) Low resale price. If u own a top variant (i.e - highline or highline plus) you get a resale price of one variant lower. Do not sell the car in 2-3 year. Use it for a longer duration. If u sale the car within 2 - 3 years you will be at a big loss as it heavily depreciates. Whereas for long run..... compare maintenance cost with Maruti Suzuki premium sedan for 5 to 7 years, VW proves to be consistently economical. This statement may be surprising but you can self analyse and understand the facts. Mileage : City :- 10-14 kms , Highways/Expressways :- 20-23 Kms (Trust me - that's what i have achieved with total 5 passengers on board). Have replaced the tyres and battery twice (i.e - after 55000 Kms and 1,04,000 kms). Have also replaced all four shock absorbers during 90,000 Kms service (front left suspension had a problem but since the car was driver 90,000 kms i replaced all four for better comfort). I understand that AC vent nobs is a problem to some vento users. I had faced a similar issue once, the AC vent nob/slider was broken by my 'daily car wash guy'. during 3rd or 4th year of the car. Since the nob was broken due to mis-handleing by my car wash guy while cleaning the dashboard Hence, there was no point for me to raise a complaint regarding plastic quality. The VW attendant noticed this at the time of handing-over the car for annual service and recorded it on the service chart. On request, he replaced the nob free of cost. Since then, i made a practice of not handing-over the keys to the car wash guys. The regular interior cleaning is done in my presence only. It is just a 5 -10 minutes job so i am ok with it. Regarding AC, I keep frequent checks on the cooling. In October i found little less cooling due to increased temperature in the city. I got the gas top-up done immdtly. Since then the AC is quite chilled. Apart from this till date all AC vents are in good condition and AC is working fantastic. I faced three problems say after 70,000 Kms 1) ABS sensors got damaged. Had to replace all four. costs around Rs.4500 to Rs.5000/- each. 2) Power window controller got damaged. which cost around 12 to 15k. 3) Left rear power window motors is having problem which costs around 14000 k each. i haven't replaced it yet as it seems to be expensive and is not affecting my day-to-day driving. Apart from these, there are no issues. Suggestions If you own and love your VW TDI car :- 1) Please keep the car engine idling atleast for 2 minutes on your 1st start of the day before you start the journey. 2) Please service the car after every 15000 kms ( as per the company service chart) at authorized VW service stations only. Servicing cost of the car is Rs.1/- per Km for diesel car If handled properly. 3) Please maintain the car properly to enjoy the best performance and Please do not hand-over the car to local mechanics even for small mechanical or body repairs, It may prove expensive in future and also may not provide you satisfactory finish and quality there. 4) If you 'pressure wash' your VW car at the local 'car wash centre', please make sure he doesn't spray inside the engine compartment from top or bottom of the car, as there are many sensitive sensors there. Replacing these sensors may cost you a bomb. I think now a days this is true for many other cars brands in the market too. Request :- My car has a factory fitted reflector headlamp housings with 60/55 W Philips halogen lamps which i feel are insufficient for driving on dark, curvy and rainy roads. Upgrading with projector head lamps is way expensive and also the long run review of LED lamps fitted in reflector headlamp housing seems to be unsatisfactory. Please refer the link below. ua-cam.com/video/ozr9exXPC-k/v-deo.html Though a few still claim that upgrading with LED lamps in the same reflector housings really works but many have again replaced their LED with high power warm white halogen lamps for better clarity. A friend has Suggest to go for 100/90 W Philips H4 high power lamps with relay. Somebody suggested "Osram' night breaker leaser H4 and Philips Xtreme vision plus. I am confused. I see many experts here. I expect a response on this. Please suggest. Thanks for being patient and going thru the review. Thankyou Very Much
I own a vento 1.6 Tdi highline 2014 .. I have done 137000 kms... And still it drives like a new one. It feels stable even at 180 kph. The engine is so peepy that it is always eager to accelerate even at 160. Handling is just out of the world. It still accelerates better than a new city or verna..... These german cars are very addictive. Once you use them you will never want to go for any other cars like honda, maruti, hyundai etc...
@Abhilash Scariya i have manual one because at that time dsg was not available... In todays time it is better to go with vento automatic... Ac is just above average... Not like ford.... And i do have a issue with ground clearance it is just ok... Though it will surely never touch any bumps but yes you cant go off road in a vento 😯
@@arkin5854 They are damn costly because the are just light years superior in quality than what you get in a honda , hyundai, maruti and other stuff... They are build to last long... Its build quality is like a tank........
Once you go german you dont go back this happened to me when i got my vento tdi on 10 of jan 2016 the car has done 1lak km and the car is so solid no rattles nothing on the contrary i have a honda city aswell but the city just doesnt give me that confidence which my vento gives all in all an absolute beast no rattles nothing and it feels so planted even at high speeds i still remember i was doing 185 with 5 onboard and car didnt deter anywhere best drivers car no doubt
I drive Hyundai Verna 1.6 SX optional 2018 diesel. Fit and finish of Vento is excellent and honestly I never felt Verna has quality issues. One biggest disappointment of Verna is soft suspension. You can feel cabin noise and it gets horrible as you get going.
ArchitectDeep You have no clue about suspension dynamics. Soft or sporty suspension setup helps with drivability and if you think that it relates to plush or bumpy ride, get back to basics
I’ve just bought the Vento TSI HL+. It’s a really classic beast at all time. One can easily gets addict of its driving pleasure. Got around 16-18.5 mileage figures on freeways. Absolutely fantastic 🤘
Best car....no doubt...even people dont know that this car comes with 1.2 tsi petrol turbocahrged engine... I am having honda city petrol 2016 model..still i suggested my friend to buy tsi engine..awesome car..
@@overpowered6620 yes they can sit but why don't you take a test drive at your home .... I did the same before buying vento tsi hl plus. I year completed and my friend bought the same in grey colour... Only one suggestion this car needs roads to run so if you live in highly dense city and need to commute in heavy traffic i mean inch to inch... Go for manual version. Else AT is best on highways and hills
@@overpowered6620 good choice 🤗 keep driving and buy the VW OBD device from showroom (vW connect) and download the app you will know your car more than anyone else. When I was looking for review there was none that described the car and all reviews are mostly biased ones. Just to compare apple to apple your choice comes only close to verna and vento stands apart when compare to back seat comfort and braking, performance , elegance. Rest others are not in race don't worry.
I own a vento from 2012, I love travelling long distance, i had done 800kms in one day, I m not proffesional, but this car never gets tired and ofcourse even not you.
I have being driving vento diesel for the last 3 years .and have done 85000kms , i must say its a fantastic car , no troubles at all and the quality , driving dynamics is on another level ...such a brilliant car
I recently bought a vento tdi/dsg highline plus variant. The build quality gearbox, performance and economy are just great. The led headlights are a joy at night.I am loving it.It also comes with 4 airbags so a bit more safety than before.
I own a GT TSI which is two months old - both the vento and GT's which are there at present in the Indian market cannot be replaced by any other car in regards to build quality, sheer driving dynamics and a great value for money for the kind of fun and safety that they offer to their customers...
Sad to see these brilliant machines not selling as much as they should. They're meant for the enthusiasts who understand and appreciate the fact that driving joy comes first and then everything else, bells & whistles included.
I've owned a Vento TSi for 2+ years and could agree word to word with your views on the car! Solid build, intelligent DSG and features that matter make the Vento superior in my eyes to any other AT sedan at this price point. Great feature! Liked 👍
One of the genuine review i have seen for Vento, Coz we also have owned Vento TSI Highline, which gives us smile when we drive miles on the beautiful German beast. DSG doesn't match with any of its rivals... 😎""MAN GOOD REVIEW""... 😎 Best in its class in terms of performance & mileage. I will definitely get one more Vento on my garage...😍😍😍"RESPECT VW"😍😍😍.. People say its outdated with its styling & its old, but trust me the one which was installed DSG gear box is far more 10 years advanced technology..Again "❤️RESPECT VW❤️".. A good shout out to 🗣🗣 "MOTOROIDS", Good review MAN.... 👍 Subscribed to your channel from now on👍 👍 ...
I own a TSI DSG & I tell you, once you drive this, you will never ever feel good in any car of this segment. Its just amazing. Speed, Handling, Built, Looks..Brilliant!
I own Jetta 2012 automatic high line, all i can say is that these cars are addiction !! Once u drive dsg, just dont like any other automatic car !! Have done 95000 kms without a glitch !! Just love it !! 😍
Hi dear, I am using the same vento TDI DSG since Jan 2018 and It is a fact,as you have mentioned, it really does not give any trouble if drive with love. Level of the confidence and joy vento gives us specially on the Ghat roads, while climbing upwards or coming down ward in particularly narrow and non maintained sections of roads is unmatched. Recently we had experienced journey from Mumbai to South Goa, and nobody felt fatigue or tiredness during 13 hours continued one side journey. I am very much happy with this car.
I own a vento TDI 2013... Driven 70k km and still feels like a new bride. Yes Volkswagen is a bit on a higher side on maintenance but I don't mind that coz no other car in that segment has a solid feel like the vento and the driving pleasure of that car especially on the highways can't be matched by any other sedan in it's class... It glides on the roads like it's made to race... Just love this machine.
what a review man... it seems like you fell in love with the vento.. like me... and many car enthu... am gonna click hard on the subscribe button just because of this review..
I own vento tdi highline automatic from 2015 and completed 1.55 lakh kms till now. It still feels the same as new while driving. Suspensions are bit hard but other then that there is no problem and I love driving on highways. No other car comes close to the confidence & handling of VW. The 7 speed dsg gearbox is the best among all automatic gearbox’s and no other car in this segment can match its build quality. I have driven it from Gujarat to Kerela, tamilnadu and till Himachal in the north. The power is unmatched in 1.5 to 2.0 engine categories. And once you shift it to sports mode, then it’s a rocket on wheels.
I own April 2016 Vento TDI Highline AT model and have clocked more than 45k km till date. Havent faced any problem in the car apart. The more i drive her the more i appreciate. Below are my obervations about my car. Pros: 1. The powerful and torquey engine. Mild push back feeling in sports mode. 2. Perfect Sedan styling. 3. Build quality and paint quality. Not a single rattle from any part. Flat bottom steering wheel is bliss to hold. 4. Sound system 5. Stabilty at higher speeds. Cons: 1. Thud noise over some deep path holes. 2. Missing on some features like sunroof etc.(Not a deal breaker though) Other points Efficiency : 13 to 14 with mild traffic in city(Pune). 19 to 20+ on highway with full time AC and speeds upto 120 kmph. 17 to 18 with heavy right foot 😁 Service costs 1st year : Km :14900, Cost : 11800 2nd Year : Km 29000, Cost : 16000. Changed wiper baldes and Disc pads. 3rd Year : Km 42000, Cost: 17000. Changed brake disc of both the fron tyres. I found the cost to be ok and not much on higher side considering the service interval of 15k km or 1 year.
The review is very good. I loved the review . Many people should see this if they're taking the Volkswagen vento . The description is very good . Now you can know about the VW vento in a good way.
Hi! Nice review 👍 I've owned and driven a Vento Diesel 1.6 TDI car from 2013 till date. Have crossed 78000km on it. The car still feels like new and drives like a breeze. As far as possible I use only Shell V power diesel that keeps the engine running smoothly and helps me get 18-19 kmpl in the city and 21kmpl on the highway. I have pushed this car to 186km/hr on three occasions and the car has performed exceptionally well. Although I would love to keep on using it, I am thinking of upgrading to the TDI Highline Plus with DSG to give my left leg rest from driving in the crazy Pune traffic and also getting all the most essential features of ABS, traction control, cruise control, OVRMs, air bags, and yes, the LED headlights with DRLs too !!
Driven both Vento and Rapid 1.6 tdi diesels extensively and I can say Rapid handles better IMO. Rapid's suspension is a bit stiff and that results as a better handler in the corners and straight line too comparatively. Although the difference is minimal, it is significant when driven in the long highway runs. But apart from that, both vento and rapid offers excellent drivability in their segment than the competition and stays a notch above.
I love the design and the overall build of this car, but the only downside to the car is the rear seat flooring, the 3rd person will be uncomfortable, if in the future versions they fix this it will be perfect.
Driven it (VW comfortline 1.6 TDI 2014) third time from Varanasi to Benguluru ..halts at Nagpur , Hyderabad .. Everyhting smooth .. everything .. most of time I kept at 85-90 kmps for best mileage which is 27 kmpl.
Totally agree with the review. We have driven Vento Tsi arnd 190,000 km. We have chnaged break calippers once due to the noise they started making after 150,000 km and then abs sensors were replaced for front and rear. Apart from this no other parts were replaced… regular service at VW after 15 K and leaving couple of early services the service cost was arnd 6-8 k per service. So i can say the service cost was pretty much under 80 paisa per km
i loved the video. i own a vento and its a pleasure to drive this car on all kinds of terrain. i have taken the car till kohima nagaland from pune and its driven handsomely well planted.
Who else is watching this video in 2021 😂 Car feels solid and robust but when it comes to mileage. It burn hole in your pocket, i am sharing this pride being vento owner. Now it almost gives me head turning shots when it comes to mileage. only 7 to 8
What I have always wondered behind the wheels of a Volkswagen car is how the DSG gearbox senses our wish. It makes an invisible bond with the drivers mind that delivers the power you need the second you wish. May be some other luxury cars like BMW, Audi etc may give the same but Volkswagen and Skoda gives them all at an affordable range with 4 cars-Polo Ameo Vento and the Rapid. German is german... Hatsoff to their engineers..
I have a Honda jazz petrol MT 2016 n had a vento tdi 2011 which i lost in chennai floods in 2015november, had driven close to 55k km. My jazz has a service interval of 6months/10,000kms. So basically it is bi annual , per service cost 6-8k , so approx 12-16k rupees/year. Now vento's service interval is 15000kms/1year n costs somewhere between 12-16k rupees, should idealy cost around 12k rupees. sometimes vw unnecessarily asks u to change certain parts claiming it's necessary but actually it is just a preventive maintainance of something that they think might cause trouble in the future. I highly recommend going through the long term vento ownership reviews on TEAMBHP.COM n check their maintainance pattern , trust me it is very useful. So my point is when a petrol honda with an acclaimed maintainance/fuss free i-vtec engine costs rupees 16k an year , then what is the problem with owning a diesel vento which is a beast of a machine n spending the same amount on service ?! I will give u a small example , swift(last gen 2013-17) steering rack assembly costs Rs 30k + labour+GST , Same part for vento costs Rs 17.7k including labour !!!! It's just a myth that marutis are cheap to maintain. Note: Vw requires certain expensive parts changes between 60-90k kms (Depending on ur driving style n road condition) but then once that is done it is ready to roar for another 60-70k kms ! P.S I've booked another 2016 vento highline tdi sparringly used(35k run) by a relative for just Rs 6L directly from the VW dealer who offered me free front bumper paint after i complained about the minor scratches n he agreed to replace the wornout tyre absolutely for free of cost!!
@@motoroids Vw gives 4year warranty / maintenance package where in u pay around 50-55k( can be confirmed at the dealership) . Major problems will be dealt/rectified free of cost. P.S i have seen a few ventos at service centres which has done over 2.3lakh kms ! just take good care of ur car and it will last a lifetime :)
@@aman0591 Warranty would have stayed intact even if i had bought it directly from my relative , but the thing is that , my uncle had already struck a deal with the showroom for his new vento tdi dsg. We actually came across it accidentally while hopping around town to test drive a few ventos which we came across on olx . Then me n my dad decided to give it a shot at the showroom , as they sometimes have cars that has been exchanged . Our budget was around 4-4.5L , ideal cost for a 5year old vento. But this car was in mint condition , so took the plunge ;) Dealer charged a lil more than the owner's deal price (10k to be exact) which we thought was completely ok considering the free tyres n bumper repaint. We came down from 6.5 to 6L after bargaining , could have been lesser but we are absolutely satisfied because of the peace of mind we got on this deal :)
Very well explained.. please repost on the kms run..and also on the recommendation on new green Diesel from Indian oil, how has the car been for last 4 years?? Any major niggles etc etc
Hi, Indeed one of the best sedan to have fun around. After my Fiat linea 1.3 mjd this was the sedan I enjoyed driving. Thanks for a wonderful review Cheers
It's old... but no other car in this segment has a suspension that strikes a good balance between Ride Quality and outright handling. The downer is lacklusture tuning of 1.6mpi manual which isn't as free revving or aggressive as 1.5 ivtec. Wish there was a vento GT with 1.4 Tsi petrol with a munual transmission
@@denojan4756 The engine is itself a good one... durable and is able to withstand more pressure unlike aluminum counterparts. This 1.6 mpi was manufactured out of cast iron components. The engine had huge potential while but at vw india messed up with the tuning. Its application in POLO 1.6 doesn't has the vow factor like the Fiesta S back then, however in fabia 1.6 HTP things were better with good punch after 2.5k rpm and more feels more connected.
@@dhavald4359 DSG in stop and go traffic is comedy. With ECM shifting gears when ever it wants with no pure manual control isn't fun from an enthusiasts perspective
What are u talking about ? The 1.6mpi is quite nice, and vw says it makes 105hp but my friend dyno’d it and its makes around 105hp at wheels so around 120 crank on normal 91 octane, and the company recommends 95 octane.
Hello Mr Sandeep, what about the heavy noise in deisel engines? Especially when car gets little older? Like after 3-4 years? Heard from friends that we will regret that nose, is it true?
@@motoroids thanks for the response, my friend also owns a 2015 year Vento AT, driven the car for 300 kms and very excited to switch to it. Even his car is making that heavy noise (at times) and he said, in newer models this problem is rectified. I couldn't believe that statement as nothing changed in mechanics of vehicle since 2012. I hope your team observed good number of vehicles as sample and confirming this. (no heavy noise in Diesel engines)
Really appreciate your detailed review, I never seen any channel presenting details like you do. Again this vento TDI DSG in its last leg,. Considering that, do you suggest to buy this one now? Because, VW offering a huge discount on this product now a days.
Ashwin Vinod And he also says that vento is cost effective 😂 i bought the rapid over the vento because of the fact that it was almost a lakh cheaper and rapid looks much better😍
In my opinion, it might be Vento TSI.TSI powered under the hood and packed with 7 speed DSG. Therefore, Rapid petrol version has outdated 1.6 MPFI technology with 6 speed AT transmission.
Hi , I'm confused between Rapid and vento. The onyx blue sports edition looks cool. Vento on the other hand looks elegant in white. Apart from the looks, is there any engine refinement/tuning difference between these? And also, is it ok to consider the MPI engine or it's always better to go with TSI OR DSG.your suggestions/inputs will be quite helpful.
Hi Amit. Reviewed so perfectly, seems like you're in love with it 👍 Can you please find out, *if rear drum brakes possible to replace with disk brakes officially from VW.* & *Can Vento be run on R17 instead of R16 tires?*
A perfect review about vento keep it going. I have seen many videos on many cars but u hv given deep review n said the truth of vento. We personally owned a petrol n now planning for an upgrade in either Octavia or d Passat n confused between them cuz most of the features r same. Do tell ur suggestions about this. Thank you.✌️
I own a Punto and I'm addicted to its sheer driving pleasure (steering feel and feedback, high speed stability, cornering stability). I'd decided to buy another Punto for my brother but not possible now since Fiat left India :(. Does vento has the same steering feel that could match my Punto's hydraulic unit? Would this be a perfect alternative?
Nothing can match the feel and feedback of a proper, hydraulic steering system. Do check with your nearest dealer if Fiat still has any cars left as unsold inventory.
It is very interesting that more and more Indians are getting German cars while here in Germany, more and more Germans are opting for foreign brands. Of course, Germans are fond of cars and you still see German cars but foreign brands such as Ford, Suzuki, Hyundai etc. Majority of Germans believes that BMW or Audi are status symbols and they can get same performance at cheaper price so they don't mind to get even foreign brands. For India, it is sad that VW has not yet lunched several of their popular cars and SUVs in India like VW Touran, VW Passat, VW Polo Combi and many more. Not cheap cars but still give more choice to the Indian customers.
I own a Rapid and I absolutely love driving it. However, this video was lacklustre as you failed to mention the dated interiors, “falling” armrest, floor hump at the rear, thud noise from the rear suspension if u go fast on speed breakers. I wonder if u really drove 600 kms or just drove around for 20 mins in a test drive vehicle. The problem with these so claimed auto journalists is that no one mentions the bad things of a car and just read out the brochure, which we can do it ourselves. Stop reading the features and give us the actual facts
I had vento but all 4 injectors failed in just 6,000/ kms , since the car was under warranty it was replaced free of cost. Purchased for Rs 11 lacs , sold it for Rs 7 lacs ( high line) down by 4 lacs in 6,000/ kms . 😃😃.
3500rpm at 160kmph......5th gear....my vento 1.6 tdi I hav photo proof with me.....i drive n took photo as my own.....juz imagine the stability of this car
I don't agree with u on 1 point. Firstly rapid looks better than vento and it's design is more appealing, even the interiors it offers dual tone and also full black interiors.. plus it's cheaper than vento also! Difference in top models if both the cars is almost around 1 lakh rupees!
The massive 1000rpm turbo lag from 800rpm idle to 1800rpm is enough to dislike the DSG gearbox!! It is very irritating to drive in city n hills!! Even slotting the car into Sport doesn't help mask the turbo lag.. very disappointing.. Additionally the DSG gearbox in these cars is a DQ200 dry twin clutch units which is notorious for going bad very soon n can act dangerous on road that's killed the drivers abroad!! So just be aware of the risk that's involved.. Purely for riding pleasure the TSI is has better power delivery and the pick of the lot..
Which turbo diesel doesn't have a turbo lag at 800 revs? Also, can you share links of the incidents you mentioned here - would like to do a video. There is some turbo lag, but the way you've mentioned it seems exaggerated
Nice to drive but small and claustrophobic cabin for long drive ... the center console is so big the driver can not expand and rest his left leg ... and yes it can become a white elephant if planning to own on long term ...
Pros
1) VW Vento....
5) Ample storage space ( big boot)
.
6) Simple but premium interior gives u a classy feel.
7) Good road presence and ride quality.
8) Wonderful built quality.
In short :- Luxury, comfort, performance & safety.
Cons
1) Clutch is hard.
I faced three problems say after 70,000 Kms
1) ABS sensors got damaged.
Suggestions If you own and love your VW TDI car :-
1) Please keep the car engine idling atleast for 2 minutes on your 1st start of the day before you start the journey.

My car has a factory fitted reflector headlamp housings with 60/55 W Philips halogen lamps which i feel are insufficient for driving on dark, curvy and rainy roads. Upgrading with projector head lamps is way expensive and also the long run review of LED lamps fitted in reflector headlamp housing seems to be unsatisfactory. Please refer the link below.
ua-cam.com/video/ozr9exXPC-k/v-deo.html
Though a few still claim that upgrading with LED lamps in the same reflector housings really works but many have again replaced their LED with high power warm white halogen lamps for better clarity.

The engine is so peepy that it is always eager to accelerate even at 160. Handling is just out of the world. It still accelerates better than a new city or verna..... These german cars are very addictive. Once you use them you will never want to go for any other cars like honda, maruti, hyundai etc...
Same!! It feels like new
what about the parts ?
@Abhilash Scariya i have manual one because at that time dsg was not available... In todays time it is better to go with vento automatic... Ac is just above average... Not like ford....
And i do have a issue with ground clearance it is just ok... Though it will surely never touch any bumps but yes you cant go off road in a vento 😯

I drive Hyundai Verna 1.6 SX optional 2018 diesel. Fit and finish of Vento is excellent and honestly I never felt Verna has quality issues. One biggest disappointment of Verna is soft suspension. You can feel cabin noise and it gets horrible as you get going.
Tall Guy ZzZ soft suspension is great on bumpy roads and is very useful which on vento has stiffer sports suspension !! For your information!!

Hi dear,
I am using the same vento TDI DSG since Jan 2018 and It is a fact,as you have mentioned, it really does not give any trouble if drive with love.

True
1.2 tsi drives like a higher segment car.
Awesome review; I have polo high line and it bring smile on my face every time I roll. Built quality and stability at high speed is impeccable
True, VWs are very sollid
I drive a 2011 Vento TDI. Very happy with the build quality and performance even at 73000 KMS.
Best car, addicted to it.😍
The best review for a drivers car. I own a Vento TSI and is dream to drive.
Nice review bro...a right person to review a nice car...
Pros:
1. The powerful and torquey engine. Mild push back feeling in sports mode.
2. Perfect Sedan styling.
3. Build quality and paint quality. Not a single rattle from any part. Flat bottom steering wheel is bliss to hold.
4. Sound system
5. Stabilty at higher speeds.
Cons:
1. Thud noise over some deep path holes.
2. Missing on some features like sunroof etc.(Not a deal breaker though)
Other points
Efficiency :
13 to 14 with mild traffic in city(Pune).
19 to 20+ on highway with full time AC and speeds upto 120 kmph.
17 to 18 with heavy right foot 😁
Service costs
1st year : Km :14900, Cost : 11800
2nd Year : Km 29000, Cost : 16000. Changed wiper baldes and Disc pads.
3rd Year : Km 42000, Cost: 17000. Changed brake disc of both the fron tyres.
I found the cost to be ok and not much on higher side considering the service interval of 15k km or 1 year.
Thank you for sharing your experience
Simply the best! The DSG is lightyears ahead of any other automatic transmission available in this segment.
The review is very good. I loved the review . Many people should see this if they're taking the Volkswagen vento . The description is very good . Now you can know about the VW vento in a good way.

Proud owner of 2011 VW Vento 1.6 IPL edition.
Own vento 1.2tsi . Very comfortable, fun and practical sedan. I would say only those who own dsg gearbox with turbo engine knows what it is.
Hi!
Nice review 👍
I've owned and driven a Vento Diesel 1.6 TDI car from 2013 till date.
Good choice
Where do you service your vehicle in pune ? I heard servicing is costly
Driven both Vento and Rapid 1.6 tdi diesels extensively and I can say
Rapid handles better IMO. Rapid's suspension is a bit stiff and that results as a better handler in the corners and straight line too comparatively. Although the difference is minimal, it is significant when driven in the long highway runs. But apart from that, both vento and rapid offers excellent drivability in their segment than the competition and stays a notch above.
Solid car. Built like a tank
Great
Totally agree with the review.
Great. Is it still with you
i loved the video. i own a vento and its a pleasure to drive this car on all kinds of terrain. i have taken the car till kohima nagaland from pune and its driven handsomely well planted.
True, these cars feel different
small correction... rear doors doesnt hold one litr bottle...
Nice unbiased review liked it. Keep up the good job. All the best.

@@motoroids even am an owner of Polo which is amazing to drive.
Congrats. And you're right, there are some false perceptions about the brand. Its pretty affordable until there is some major trouble with the car
@@motoroids Yes exactly my point !
@@motoroids Vw gives 4year warranty / maintenance package where in u pay around 50-55k( can be confirmed at the dealership) . Major problems will be dealt/rectified free of cost.
P.S i have seen a few ventos at service centres which has done over 2.3lakh kms ! just take good care of ur car and it will last a lifetime :)
why you purchased from a dealer , when the car was owned by ur relative?. Warranty Purpose?
@@aman0591 Warranty would have stayed intact even if i had bought it directly from my relative , but the thing is that , my uncle had already struck a deal with the showroom for his new vento tdi dsg. We actually came across it accidentally while hopping around town to test drive a few ventos which we came across on olx . Then me n my dad decided to give it a shot at the showroom , as they sometimes have cars that has been exchanged . Our budget was around 4-4.5L , ideal cost for a 5year old vento. But this car was in mint condition , so took the plunge ;)
Dealer charged a lil more than the owner's deal price (10k to be exact) which we thought was completely ok considering the free tyres n bumper repaint. We came down from 6.5 to 6L after bargaining , could have been lesser but we are absolutely satisfied because of the peace of mind we got on this deal :)

It's old... but no other car in this segment has a suspension that strikes a good balance between Ride Quality and outright handling. The downer is lacklusture tuning of 1.6mpi manual which isn't as free revving or aggressive as 1.5 ivtec. Wish there was a vento GT with 1.4 Tsi petrol with a munual transmission
Cyril Matthew 1.6 mpi is good or bad Engine for vento
@@denojan4756 The engine is itself a good one... durable and is able to withstand more pressure unlike aluminum counterparts. This 1.6 mpi was manufactured out of cast iron components. The engine had huge potential while but at vw india messed up with the tuning. Its application in POLO 1.6 doesn't has the vow factor like the Fiesta S back then, however in fabia 1.6 HTP things were better with good punch after 2.5k rpm and more feels more connected.
They sell 1.2 Tsi vento here in india. And it is still better than its rivals. It is a joy to drive it in city and highways.

My Dream car
I have Volkswagen Polo dsg automatic model it is the best car best in safety features best in करब weight with I love this car

So there us no thud noise in the rapid in a similar situation?
Am going to buy vento highline plus how is the performance comparing verna

Dont remember now, but around 2000
3500rpm at 160kmph......5th gear....my vento 1.6 tdi
I hav photo proof with me.....i drive n took photo as my own.....juz imagine the stability of this car
Manual 5 speed tdi 100kmph at ~2200rpm. For DSG tdi in D mode, ~1900rpm. It is quite refined at those rpms by diesel standards.
100kmph@1800rpm for the dsg.It is a little bit loud on the outside but feels perfectly quite at highway speeds.
Vento diesel automatic or manual which one to choose.
Auto
@@motoroids thank you..
I don't agree with u on 1 point. Firstly rapid looks better than vento and it's design is more appealing, even the interiors it offers dual tone and also full black interiors.. plus it's cheaper than vento also! Difference in top models if both the cars is almost around 1 lakh rupees!
Rapid doesn't have leather upholstery?? what kind of joke is that!! Get ur facts right man
Excellent superb video
i cannot buy this car but your English and Review good
i am really confused between vento top model diesel and verna top model diesel, would really appreciate if someone could help me out with the same.
If you want to enjoy your time in the driver's seat, the Vento.
So im not the only one who love vw skoda or any Germans
Nice to drive but small and claustrophobic cabin for long drive ... the center console is so big the driver can not expand and rest his left leg ... and yes it can become a white elephant if planning to own on long term ...
I want a petrol one should i go for city or vento??
City
Only problem in the rear is the hump due to which out of 3 people the middle one will feel uncomfortable
Yeah. True
No leather seats in Rapid, really!?? Rapid has been providing leather seats since years now.
