The management really sucks (LL6 and above). All the good working level engineers have left or retired. The ones left are too inexperienced with nobody mentor them.
Don't blame us for vendor problems.

The environmental CO2 6:50 crazies and frauds will force it. Rember no ivermectin that cured. Had to wear masks that did no good. Shutdown which did no good and killed hundreds of million of poor children with starvation. Have we woke up to how they are killing us? Not enough yet. Canadian here - when oil prices go up, price of gas jumps immediately - when prices go down, the oil companies says it needs 6 months to go from refinery to pump.
Ford needs another Henry Ford to clean house and get back to building vehicles for the average American. Vehicles we can afford and will last a long time.

Bring back the stick shifts while at it.
Ford, Dodge and Toyota all had V8's of less than 5 liters of displacement. They could have built them for another decade.

Ppl wanna laugh at the fact that I’m not lifting my truck but I actually use my bed and it just makes it harder to get large objects out of it. If I wanted to a jack up vehicle I’d get a jeep. Too many insecure men get the biggest baddest thing they can afford and jack it up thinking a vehicle makes you a “real man”.
not me, a real truck is from the 1970s, I still own my chevy c 20 Silverado custom deluxe with 350 v8 engine, the body is a little rough but I love my ugly truck

I always thought that engineers have a job to make it difficult for repairing a car. Ask any mechanic about the patience you need to fix a car nowadays.
Too true. I used to be able to tune up and fix my cars, now I don't even know what anything is in the engine compartment - except I know how to find the battery and the air filter. They're probably working on a way to hide those two things underneath the engine or inside the gas tank next.
My Fam stopped buying Fords 40 years ago after our Ford GRANADA grenade died.
Gas in upper Michigan is $3.79. And just 3 weeks ago it was $3.35.
No automaker is going to make a quality vehicle for $30k if they can get away with making crappy ones for $75k. That's the problem. Automakers are not incentivised to produce volumes that attracts a large, domestic workforce.

One notable University- Princeton, did a study of electric power capacity required to go all in for EV's in America.
Only a 3360% increase in electric power generation will be required.
To date, only 50 Charging stations have been built of the 500,000 promised by the White House.
That required increase in electric power generation is exactly why I know the whole EV thing is a scam - it's generation capacity that no one is building.
For the "hot dog driver" quote, Scotty should've put a picture of the Oscar Meyer weinermobile.

My thoughts exactly. If we ‘protect’ industries that just cannot compete globally against anyone, then no amount of tariff protection is going to make a better product.
To the leveling kit question. All vehicles come from the factory sitting lower in the front than the back this is called factory rake. The main reason for this is aerodynamics. With a leveling kit you can still maintain a factory ride and handling however gas mileage will be affected.. anything of 4inches is where loose factory handling because you're doing more than just lifting the suspension your adding extension and lots of other extras. I would recommend loaded struts for leveling out your truck instead of the leveling spacers ... every truck I have owned either had a leveling kit or lift kit . Leveling kit rides are not much different than factory rides. Lift kits ride like a washing machine
Engineers used to afford Porsches and brand new houses. Now many areas are trying to pay them about what a 20 year old McDonalds manager makes. Every worker is getting underpaid. Why is it always "less coffee and avocado toast" and never "less yachts and spaceships"?

We wouldn’t need a union if management played fair.
At 3.50 per gallon, gas is a bargain. In 1970 it was about .32. That's about 11 times more. A regular candy bar was ,10. Now it is 17x that.
I've got a 2wd long bed. No leveling kit is going to help with traction. Either chains or buy a different vehicle

Hey Scotty a barrel of oil is up over 10 dollars in the last two weeks and tariffs was one of the causes that caused the Great Depression

no they didn't they weren't enacted until 1929 it takes a lot more time than months to cause a depression and international trade wasn't a major contribution to the American economy. Try researching for yourself and not rely upon a "higher institution".
Not really. We had no income tax. Tariffs made up the difference even when we had low regulations.

The biggest problem towing the 5th wheel trailer with half ton truck has a lot less braking power than a 3qtr and that is most important
Those wind turbines work on farm's. They have lots of old swathers, turn them vertical, hook a generator to them, wallah 😅
Gas is up $.25-$.30 a gallon here in the Kansas City area
Nobody looks forward to buying new cars I got so sick of dealers I purchased the last three vehicles 4 years old after 40% depreciation from the original owner. You only buy new because you need financing and your broke if you actually had money you would always buy from a private owner period.

Hi Scotty I own a 2003 Ford Mustang And it keeps spitting red flags when I first got the car I had to get new roaders and breaks installed coil pack alternator now after 5,000 miles it needs new roaders and calipers I had to put rougly $1500 before being able to register it and it keeps getting worse it’s only got 125k miles bought it with 120

I'm UAW Blue collar Ford.
I got bad news for them. They are more disposable than even us line workers.
This isn't me saying they shouldn't fight for what they feel they deserve. They should.
But I know on more occasions then I have fingers every year where I will walk into the plant with no Supervisor because he's on vacation, and higher management is off and away in Detroit for some class. And we will run just fine if not better. We have Team Leads that basically do the Jobs of management. We start the line. We run the process. We shut the line off at the end of the day. And the team leads normally micromanage the issues that come along.
Can I run the VIN to find buy a truck on those days where management is not in the way of the workers doing a good job? Preferably built Tues-Thurs.
@robskyle Yeah you could, you probably have to ask the dealer what days it was made though. Inside the plants the Vehicles have a Unique ID it'll be like (7797283) and for that week the first 3 numbers will always be 779 and the last 4 will be different.
If you were to go to a dealer and special order; they would be able to find out the Carrier Vehicle ID (not a VIN) and find out where it's at when it's being assembled. What shift, what zone it's currently in.
Alot of us will order our vehicles and (walk them down the line) to make sure everything is tight.
I'd suggest buying a vehicle that's built in April or September; and preferably between 9 am-3 pm. The best day of the week would probably be Wednesday. It's not anyones last day of work for the week if there are 3 shifts.

I have a 2020 Ford Explorer that makes a noise when I accelerate. I got the Ford mechanic to ride with me and he thought it was a wheel bearing . Supposedly they changed the wheel bearing and it still makes the noise. They can’t find it. I didn’t think it was the wheel bearing because when you were going downhill you coast . No noise when you let off the gas pedal. It’s only when you accelerate.
CV Axle itself.
The older cars with manual transmission were all good. And easy to fix.
I live in Santa Cruz California still $5.00 a gallon.

tried ford twice, got screwed on a 1966 falcon and a 1988 Lincoln continental Mark VII. I still have engineers in Deerborn

Jack Nassar insisted on enforcing DEI 20 years ago. He insisted on placing unqualified engineers into important positions and the quality has severely ever since. I know. I work for them.

Scotty I need your help, my 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz has 32,000 MI I had it last service 4000 miles ago I was going to take a small road trip so I checked my oil and on the dipstick it read below L ,so I called Hyundai service representative about it and they said quote, that's just Hyundai's they said they will perform a consumption test to see if every 1,000 miles I burn a quart. if I burn over a quart then they are willing to do repairs to my car . I said to the lady well the car takes six quarts and the service cycle is 6,000 MI so by the end of my service cycle I would have 0 quarts of oil in my car. Should I get a lemon lawyer or try and work it out with Hyundai thanks Scotty
You complain about high gas prices? In New Brunswick Canada we are paying $772 per gallon and New Brunswick has some of the lowest prices in Canada. It’s brutal here

Locally , they have rejected turbines because of noise and visual impacts , yet the local” progressives” are also against hydro and gas and also rejected a much needed substation on property, owned by our utility, for that purpose for decades.

Look man yes the alignment changes sone but if it’s done right. You can set up the alignment including the camber/caster and it’s not a problem. Also trucks are higher in the back for towing so they don’t sit low when they have a heavy load so to overcome this you can install airbags to get the leveled look. Also if your really towing heavy you need the correct truck. Not a 3/4 ton but a 1ton or 450 etc

Chinese EVs with no support network, spares, of course they can be built and imported cheap and sent to scrap when they break, just like most of the junk from China. Emissions rules are largely to blame for crippled engine designs that don't last, not all the manufacturer's fault.

Underground gassification of coal skips mining it. Ford actually developed portable batch plants for the process. Back when U.S. government handed out subsidies and tax credits to cities for propane powered fleet vehicles.
