This was really entertaining with the voiceover and zooming. Much more engaging than mere fly-arounds. Appreciate you uploading in 4K too. Thanks, mate!
As a West Ham fan it breaks my heart to see all these new stadiums being built for purely football purposes. Since we left Upton Park for that soulless bowl in strattford the experience changed forever. It probably costs us 5-10 pts a season. There’s no sycronized singing cause everyones too far away from eachother and the intimidation factor just doesn’t exist anymore. No matter what our owners say we’ve kinda lost our club. People still go because they’re West Ham fans but you ask anyone if they really enjoy the matchday experience there’ll be very few that say yes. It’s heartbreaking. Well done Everton, Spurs, Arsenal and the real ffotball clubs who choose to develop/re-build and not sell out.
Spurs fan here 40+ yrs. Visited the old Upton Park and can confirm it was a propper old footie stadium, right in the heart of the comunity. Sadly, not many of them left and they can't build them like that any more. Your new gag is unfortunately an athletic stadium first and foremost so will never replicate what you once had 😢
Superbly put. I am a 69-year-old Millwall fanatic who first visited THe Boleyn Ground in March 1965 to see West Ham bear WBA 6/1 with Brian Dear scoring 5 goals(met him, coincidentally, on holiday in Austria in 1972), and I still, vividly, recall, that day. I wrote, roughly, what you did before they moved as Millwall has never been the same for 30 years now, since 1993 and I miss plenty of games now that I can't stand whereas, I only missed 6 Home games in 30 years between 1963-1993. 35,000 at Upton Park was very intimidating.60,000 at THe Athletics Track is not.Soulless.Sanitized. (relatively) Silent. Good Luck.
Another great video KC! I’m guessing a lot of work is taking place inside now. Going forward l hope the contractor allows you guys internal access. Thanks
Hi KC, the concrete pieces you asked about (9.52) are the concrete steps for the stands. These are added onto the concrete terracing elements to break up the step height.
Thanks for the footage Kev! People have mentioned that the lower beam on the north stand is bowing. It did appear to be the case on Mr Drone's video but not so on this.
Another excellent video Kev. On your next one could you possibly zoom in to the west stand to show us the glass that has apparently been installed to what will be the hospitality boxes. Thanks mate
Very impressive drone work. But that is NEVER going to be ready by next season. If the worst happens and Everton go down I think I will be attending Swansea City's away fixture at Goodison. Hope so as it was always one my favourite away trips when we were in the Premier League.
Definitely looks like zinc on the tower roof. You can see a lightning conductor attached to the area near the chimney. You wouldn't see that on a lead roof. Plus the panels are much longer than lead would be, for expantion reasons.
They have won an award already the best stadia in the Championship well done you blues the Lecce isn’t even plumbed in that trophy cabinet will look superb.
It could be a nightmare coming out of this stadium at the final whistle, It just has the Dock Road! With Goodison Park, there are plenty of roads and alleyways all around the ground for the fans to filter through! Time will tell. Thanks for sharing 👍
At Chelsea everyone has to come out onto the Fulham Road and they manage ok ! Also there are no alleyways to filter through at Goodison as they are alleygated.
love the new stadium but it’s in the wrong place and it’s going to be a nightmare for getting in and out with just two ways for getting out and thousands of fans in one place it’s trouble waiting to happen with away fans.
Even though I'm not an Ev fan as you know, I've gotta say that I'm a little bit envious of them moving to a new ground (though it's way too small to house Liverpool). Because of the several reasons impeding Anfield's growth, particularly on the S.K.D. and The Kop sides, I think staying at Anfield in it's current location was a mistake. But this Bramley Moor Dock development is looking really good. I'm a bit concerned about it being so close to water re: health and safety though, gotta be honest. I don't think that it will be too long before a fan, or fans end up in the water, by their own choice or not considering animosity and rivalry between teams/fans. Hopefully Everton, have put some safeguards in place within the design, or policing the games, to prevent this from happening. However, hopefully, this new stadium will provide Everton with the facilities that they need, to grow as a club, and for them to become a destination more attractive to players to strive for. I like the design of the stadium, but can you tell me Kev, which way is the pitch orientated (I can't see the time because I'm watching this clip premiering but it's 30 seconds from the end, where that white tower-crane is nearest the drone, in the left of the frame). And, the stands seem to be elevated, are there further tiers to add, to bring them down to pitch level, or are the views of the pitch going to remain elevated? I'll bet Everton fans can't wait to begin playing in this stadium. Cheers Kev.
The pitch orientation is going from north to south, where the two large roof trusses are. They will be the stands behind each goal. As for having a new stadium or upgrading what you already have. I think both Everton and Liverpool fans prefer to stay put and rebuild on site, but that was pretty much impossible at Goodison park for a various amount of reasons. So a nice shiny new stadium on the docks will compensate for having to move.
Look at north stand and you will see two raker beams which go down to pitch level. Terracing will be added to these beams probably august or later. This will go all round the ground from what you can see so far.
@@Kevcupo Thanks for that info Kev, re: pitch direction. Think we've had this conversation before. The Liverpool Anfield situation really puzzles me: Liverpool need a bigger capacity stadium. 1. Let's build a new ground, elsewhere that's not restricted by locals housing. Liverpool fans. No, Anfield has heritage etc. 2. Okay, let's expand the S.K.D., and The Kop then. Re-instigate the Purchase Orders on Skerries Rd, and other relevant properties, and re-route Walton Breck Road. Liverpool fans. No, those houses are families homes, and re-routing roads will spoil the area that we're used too... memories etc. So, there's no way Liverpool, can increase the capacity, because of fans opinions. So, it's Liverpool's own fans, that are preventing them from growing as a club and business. Funny how that works.
When we go down hopefully the staduim as made moshiri and bill skint and they have no choice but to sell ...championship or not everton is a huge club big fan base and the new staduim its still an attractive opportunity and there will be lots of potential buyers i just hope bill doesn't still think the investment route is the best option he will just find investors that suits him not the club or fans
Not sure where those smaller terracing concrete units fit but I had to laugh when you suggested they were off cuts 😂 Game changer that zoom of yours and dare I suggest you drop into the stadium and take a look at the internals, only when no one on site 🙏 Keep up great work 👍
Good point! They are using a special type of steel which is about one tenth the weight of normal steel and they are also using special concrete which is actually 1/20 the weight of standard concrete.
I'd say more like 30/35 minutes tbh. Sure when time comes, they will run shuttle buses from town center along dock road to stadium, likely from sandhills station too. Hope youz stay up. The debts Everton have will cripple them if they go down, certainly if they don't get back up first time. Need couple wins....city should have 2 clubs at top table.
It’s so sad that Everton are moving from Goodison. Especially for a soulless copy of several stadiums in Europe. Espanyol even being the same colours. Terrible move.
All the Best for Everton One of my fav English football clubs , cheers from a SPORTING Clube de Portugal fan ...💚🦁
Thank you for watching

What a superb video. That zoom feature makes this stand out from all the other droners. Mr Drone....get your cheque book out. Yours are great too.
Thanks mate, we all do something slightly different

Really enjoyed the video and the zoom is so good thanks for all your filming
Thank you mate, and thank you for watching
excellent video.....the ending shot of dark clouds gathering is chilling !!
Thank you Lyla, looked like the storm clouds were gathering

I’d say that roof you asked about is Zincalume, it’s a good light weight product made of steel and zinc, great stadium, hope The Toffees stay up.

There seems to be two inner trusses on the floor inside the stadium to extend the barrel roof inward
Good spotting if that’s what it’s for
Well spotted mate , I noticed them in mr drones video . Internal spans from the barrel roof I guess .

Still lots more terracing to go in still got the two lower north and south stands to be built , the roof of the pump house is zinc

A lot of people do
Great vid.dont think they are off cuts given the entire span of the roof truss is made inside 15mm tolerances
Yeah just a bit confused of what they are

The roof on the tower is copper!
Looks small.. Dunno if thats to do with the camera angle. Wonder how many Liverpool fans are working onsite
The camera really doesn’t do it justice
Those small concrete things are steps that go on the terracing.
Thanks mate
Those small concrete pieces you asked about have to be steps. At least one section was sporting a 'bullnose'
Yeah I was just wondering where for
Is it a bank holiday so they won't be in till Tuesday??
