Exciting times ahead Vik, thanks for keeping ahead of these things and mostly for helping us OSA sufferers. You removed my tonsils two years ago, while it didn't cure my SA, it made a massive difference to my use of the CPAP machine, thank you. I'll forever owe you for helping to improve my life.

How old were you when you got your tonsils removed?

I wonder about this type of thing- if it can cause a shift in sympathetic tone. Downstream seeing higher cortisol, blood sugar, epinephrine release. Please keep an eye out.

Thanks for letting us know about this hopeful future device. I suspect these kinds of devices will help relieve the brain from having to stay partially awake itself to do this work so we can sleep better. Having a more intelligent device that can control more muscle nerves that will allow better breathing passage without the brain being involved will allow the brain to sleep better.

Hey Vik, great that you have brought these options to the UK, really appreciate the work you do. I had one question:
I went in for a TORS base of tongue operation last month (for OSA) but a preop DiSE showed that the obstruction wasnt at the base but higher up the tongue when my jaw/tongue fell back (it is somewhat recessed and i am healthy BMI) so operation was aborted. Ive been referred to a max fax for evaluation and I assume possible MMA surgery i believe as the next step.
I wondered, is generally someone like me with upper tongue blockage a possible candidate for these devices? Or does a recessed lower jaw reduce the effectiveness?

I’ve missed an appointment with you at Queens because of a disability matter. But I’m trying to get another one to see you at queens as I have obstructed sleep apnea but there was mention of having y nose chiselled some time back. My hospital will not give me a new machine and I’m unable to use my old machine for a couple of reasons. I’d like to see you so possibly you can tell me my obstruction and if I could use one of these devices as I just don’t get along with cpap. Coming to London is an issue ATM. Maybe my Doctor can share with you. Thank you.

    Wow, that is exciting news!
I have just this week asked my GP for a referral to your NHS clinic, having watched from the sidelines for a number of years now….I am so hopeful that you will be able to help me. Thank you so much for all the work you put into this channel.

Oh wow! I’m really pleased for everyone that’s entitled to it. Hopefully the people who use it will feel loads better and can get some much needed uninterrupted sleep and feel like they are refreshed after sleep and have loads more energy!! I’m hoping I can have one depending on the cause of the obstruction etc. well done Mr Veer! You really care about your patients and that’s one of the many things why I think you’re absolutely amazing!!!!

The best no pain solution for S.A. is the most inexpensive and easiest solution, a soft neck collar and a roll of Tensor (Sport) sports tape. The soft neck collar keeps your jaw from falling down, you then tape your mouth shut to breathe pure holy grail life changing nitric oxide through your nose all night. I have been doing this for 2 years now and it's the greatest single thing that you could do for your health ever. I have seven hours uninterrupted sleep every night and wake up naturally in an undisturbed bed no B.S. you just couldn't make this up. I tried every tape I could find, after many failures the one mentioned is the best I've found. Just fold one side edge over 1/8inch for easy removal. Btw it cures ED in a week. I hope this helps someone somewhere struggling to get a good nights sleep. Just remember I'm not a doctor and this is not medical advice.

Hello Dr. Veer! Could you do, if possible, a video on people with complete concentric collapse L2 and if the barbed pharyngoplasty helps, or really, what is there out there in the world that can help for this? Thank you and cheers from Vancouver!

All sounds very exciting. Live near Romford so hoping my GP will refer me. Do you have any idea what the waiting times might be? Already taken to nearly 2 years to get a CPAP but not proving effective because of my insomnia.
