Never before has Gangsters Paradise been used in such a dramatic fashion

At least we finally have snow. It will make the Northeastern U.S. routes more realistic in much of the winter.

Saving for not only Run 8 but this too.
I actually like. Even though I hold a grudge against mountain passes.

Great work on the review. I’m especially pleased that Run8 included the old Number 1 track through the original summit tunnel and original snowsheds. Very pleased with a number of familiar structures along the way, but I still think there’s potential for more detail, especially the courthouse and big trestles in Auburn and some of the casinos in Reno. I understand their push to have the route ready for a summer release (they’d been teasing it for months), and im optimistic that route updates will make the route even better.
Regardless, though, its Donner Pass with Run8’s physics. It’s incredible.

I was getting overwhelmed by socal and quit playing Run8 altogether. Gave my attention to other things instead (not other games though. Nothing is better than Run8 so why bother?) Then this was released. It's almost local and if they expand west to Oakland, it will be. I just love it. I definitely give it too much of my time but I'm okay with that. No, it's not entirely accurate for any period but that's okay too. In real life though, the route really doesn't get a lot of traffic, not even if you add the Feather River Route to the total. If I want to do any productive rail fanning, I have to cross bridges into the bay area and hit up the BNSF. They actually run a surprising number of trains to and from Richmond. I guess UP runs most of theirs up from their southern routes.

I do wish snow would accumulate on the ground and would like winter textures too. Snow or rain shouldn’t fall in sheds or tunnels either

I love Run 8 but is It to challenging for some besides the physics what is the difference between other Sims and run 8. the graphics they're okay Run 8 makes me feel that I'm actually working for Union Pacific or BNSF for all the other sims they make you feel like you're playing a video game like you have to beat a boss just so you can get to a yard find a engine and go from point a to point b that's why I stuck with msts/open Rails for so long till run 8 version 2 came out. Plus 3D train stuff made route for msts the same ones they're bringing out for run 8

No sadly, they are mods. Hence why in the beginning of my videos I say "Some experiences may differ".

New here, Retired. Question to everyone in chat messenger, What's your Favorite all Time Diesel Locomotive & Why only one you can name, Not in Game just in general be every pinpoint on what kind as a Example you say SD70ACe doesn't Mean SD70ACu ? Curious!

So I will give a choice for yard work, locals, & road trains. These decisions are all based on working with the engines in real life:
Favorite Yard engines for me are the pups (MP15's, SW1500's, Sw1001's, ect). They were amazing to shift with.
Favorite Local Engine would be the SD40-2. I have never had one let me down and they are arguably one of the greatest engine designs in history.
Favorite Road engines are the SD70ACE's (specifically the isolated cabs not the thunder cabs). A lot of people would disagree with me here. But from my experiences these engines were quiet, comfy, and strong as hell.

@@run8reviews770 agree on the SD40-2 as everything after them has tried to be like them to this day and has either failed or is slightly better. SD70ACe disagree the SD80 or 90 Mac were Power Houses and had radiator trucks which are one of a kind self-steering largest wheels for fast moving None bouncing smooth running along with whisper cabs.

My Favorite yard switchers are the SW7 and the SW1500
My favorite mainline engines are the SD9-R, SD70M, AC6000, and the GP9
My favorite local engines are the GP15-1 and the GP60
If I have to pick a favorite one out of all it’s going to be the SD9-R

I can respect that. For me though, its not all about looks with Run 8. I enjoy Run 8 for its multiplayer and physics which no other sim can even touch.

@@run8reviews770 Even better, you often get 5 liveries, sometimes 6 to 8, for locomotive packs; and often more than that for only $10 or less for other rolling stock packs. Also, despite something like 10 years of inflation, the prices are the same for routes and trainsets as they were day-1. Combine that with the long overdue game play, visual and environmental improvements and this upgrade for 50 bucks seems quite reasonable in such a niche market of finite size.
