For the first time in its eight-year history, the CMT Artists of the Year special will be dedicated entirely to honoring country music’s women of the past, present and future. Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman, and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott are the honorees. Sissy Spacek is quite a talent herself.
I couldn't watch this without crying. I feel like Loretta was everyone's best friend. She was and always will be loved, respected and admired not only as the greatest female country artist of all time but as a beautiful and loving person. My sorrow of her passing is deep but I'm so happy she gets to be with her doo and kids again. Rest in peace Loretta ❤

Everytime I see Sissy Spacek in something I automatically think of Loretta Lynn. Sissy's words and emotion are nothing but genuine, they really are that close. If you read Loretta's biography she explains why she chose Sissy to play her and how Sissy basically lived with her and Dew while preparing for the part. These are 2 exstrodianery women both masters of their craft. Congratulations Loretta for an honor much deserved !!!!! Sissy you continue to be a class act !!!!!!!! Love You Both !!!

I recall Sissy Spacek receiving an award for best actress in Coal Miners Daughter and she said, she went on the set meeting strangers and came out with friends...40years of friendship and amazing...So Happy for Loretta as she deserves this award.

Loretta Lynn is about to turn 90, recently released a hit album STILL WOMAN ENOUGH, and is still working. She's got a career spanning 6 decades, and is the most awarded female country music artist. She still has no plans to quit...she'll keep working as long as she can.
Mrs Lynn....deserves more recognition. She is the WOMAN who blazed the trail for those who followed. She is incredible! What a talented one. Love u. Mrs Lynn.

Loretta Lynn is so wonderful..I have grown up listening to country music and of course,I even saw "Coal Miners Daughter" in the theaters and many times since then. I have never had the honor of meeting her but I know she would be just a sweet heart to me . She feels like she is family to me...somehow.

if it was not for sissy playing loretta lynn i dont know if i would have been that lucky to have front row tickets plus loretta stopping the music to talk to me my parents went with me to that concert and they were so tickled over loretta doing that love that lady so very down to earth person you would ever get to see and meet.

It seemed as though it was everywhere. So wonderful.
I was heart broken when Patsy died and in Coal Miner's Daughter when she tells Loretta she will see her when she returns, I 😪because I knew she would not return.
