Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.

Your mother is the most selfless servant ever. I know you are teasing her about being high maintenance because we know her entire life is spent loving and caring for her family. Lily. This is meant as constructive criticism but you are a bit harsh with your words when speaking to your Mother. It's all in your delivery which needs improvement. You can say it's all in fun but not received well.

My son on the spectrum is like that, and yes, socially it could use improvement, and if he were making videos for hundreds of thousands to watch I’m positive others would say the same but our family knows his mannerisms and it doesn’t bother us at all.

She’s talked about her behavior as a child, too- how she didn’t fit in, etc etc. Although she may have never been diagnosed, because in our generation, they didn’t diagnose you unless you had flapping arms. Lily isn’t trying to be disrespectful or dishonoring of her mom, I promise.
She’s often the one being told she is too high maintenance for needing the AC, bed, etc. I think she was being honest when she said “my feelings were hurt when you said this” because she wanted the bedroom to be nice for her mom, and she feels inadequate. I don’t think her mom has a problem telling her things either- “oh no I need cotton sheets” or “oh Lily this house is so nice but when you get linen curtains and a new couch it will be beautiful.” I just think that is how they speak to eachother.
I believe Nam’s son needs a sketch board and supplies, he’s very good at drawing. And of course Watt is in his element and very happy. Lila’s growing so much, and all seems well. So just enjoy life, that’s what it’s for, be happy.

She has worked very hard for everything that she has. When we get older, there are very few accommodations for us. I’m not sure what is going on in Thailand, but it was hard enough for GG to get anything. The United States is the place to live.

I know ..I felt a sharp pang of sadness but mine are only 6 and a 1 year old ..I think it's just natural to worry about this from the moment you bring them home from the hospital..well at least I did..I was terrible with the worrying when my Daughter was born but I'm a little more relaxed with my son.

Lilly I do think that Thai culture encourages people to be less high maintenance...so hearing you talk to your mum was interesting insight....but it's prob age thing as well.....the older you get you do need and want more comforts...but another thing your mum works so hard....she prob needs comfort to help her get threw......she is always working on her phone you can see this and that's alot when you get older like it's gotta be hard on her

I am also happy to see Nam and her son, and also sonia. lilly the reason that I do not do anything on line is because I was scammed by someone I knew. I will tell you the amount when I see you. But when I promise you what I am going to do for you, Wat and your family, Nam and her son, and Sonia. I will keep my promise. I cannot do the impossible, if I do not have the resourses to keep in touch with you. I do not blame you at all. I do understand what the situation is in this world today. My 2 neighbours have offered to keep an eye on my place when I am away. Hopefully my guardian Angel will play his part. Lilly, please do not keep water in that pool, when the kids are not playing in it, and when the kids are in it. Please have somebody watching over the kids. I am like a mother chook.
