When the Convenience Stores started selling aluminum straws, my buddy told me that the Aluminum somehow cooled the beverage as you were drinking it. It made no sense because it's aluminum, not magic. It cools because the aluminum tube is surrounded by the Ice in the cup and as the beverage is drawn through the tube, the warmest parts below the ice get cooled on their way through the tube.
The exact same effect is happening with this "Cold Air Intake." The metal tubes are being heated by the air off of the radiator and the exhaust manifold. As the cold air is rushing through the tube, it's being heated by the tube itself.

Excellent diagnosis and repair of the vehicle. Thank you Kenny for the trip to Mexico as that is always enjoyable. Arthritis causing pain, how well I know. Ask your doctor if you could take some over the counter Naproxen Sodium, 220 mg. tablets...but only one per day as it can cause internal bleeding and rectal bleeding if you take too much. How is Meg?, aka "Mrs. Wrenching"? Hang in there 'Little brother Kenny', and don't be too surprised if the pain in the back, knee and legs gets even worse in time. It's all about weight control and 'core' strength. You can trust me as I know first hand. Kenny, "Keep Wrenching" as that is your career and passion and you are great at it. This will help to keep your mind off of your health issues and somewhat Meg's too.

You are right about a misfire on one cylinder causing an imbalance and a misfire on another cylinder. Fixing my MIL's RAV4, misfired so bad on Cylinder 1 that the PCM threw a code on Cylinder 2 misfire. Put plugs in all and a coil on Cylinder 1 and both went away

I feel your pain with the back issues. My arthritis is the worst between L1 and L5 with increased degeneration since my last MRI about 4 or 5 years ago. Ablation helps to lessen the pain and meds keep it in check fairly well but, I still have some pain. Sounds like it's time to visit pain management unless you're seeing them now. I've been seeing PM for close to 10 years now. I was gonna say, it looks like Mexico shut you down but someone beat me to it lol.

Hate to see you hurting Kenny, been there sir, but at 69 years old I can testify that finding a chiropractor who is good AND by good I mean they will actually "adjust" you .... the muscles pull down on the back and at some point it will begin to "calcify" the "joint" together.... the joint being the spot, like on a car, where a bolt goes through a support where it can pivot.... your back's pivots need to be "adjusted" or broken free from each other.... Kenny, I had back problems for quite a while after rupturing 2 discs... these would come and go but for me, when an "episode" occurs, I go to the chiro for 3 to 5 visits ... always good to go after that... no docs/surgeons / no need for pain killers etc.... oh and sorry I punished you with quotations marks.... get better soon.

Would it help to get a Ph test done as your body might be to acidic which would cause inflammation - try that first before surgery option. High acidity level is unhealthy and Cancer just loves that, so - getting your system back to more alkaline I would say be my first step. Remember doctors don't tell you this because - well We tend to forget what science class was all about, and they tend to go for the quick fixes where your body needs to be repaired naturally...

You lost that bet. As far as Chrysler products go, aside from the WiTech factory scan tool, Snap-On is as good as it gets. As for the misfire monitor, it was inhibited by the vehicle's ECM due to loss of the Adaptive Numerator. In other words, someone disconnected the battery, likely in an effort to rectify this issue, and the computer lost its memory. Once the computer relearns the adaptive numerator, then it re-enables the misfire monitor.
