when you copy someone, you can never complete the copy 100 percent, you have to learn the moves, or the feasibility behind it, the idea of doing it, and the reason for that particular technique. You definitely have to understand it, it's the best way to evolve. Excellent video with the great teacher, thanks for sharing.

My Sigung Allan Lee (Lee Che Kong) trained with Sibaak Duncan for a long time here in New York and elsewhere. I started learning at our schools current Long Island Location a few years before COVID hit, under Sifu Peter Koo. I learned so much in such a short amount of time, and Sigung's training with Sibaak was spoken of like it was legend. I've unfortunately suffered a few setbacks between injury and extended quarantining for a family member with some serious health issues, so I haven't been to class for a bit. I still do Siu Nim Tao and a few drills when I can, but I miss it so much. Super grateful to Ultimate Martial Arts for bringing this together, and actually getting to hear from The Man, The Myth, The Legend, Himself.

Outstanding interview, thank you, sir. I was born and raised in nyc and I trained, briefly, with Allan Lee( Lee Che Kong) and I always heard great things about Sifu Duncan Leung. Can you do a part 2 or 3, please. Also, I had a question, does Sifu Duncan Leung accept students in Zuhai. Thank you 🙏

❤ Great interview Sifu Araneda. I am humbled to have Duncan Leung as my Sifu in Virginia Beach with so many friends at his school for many years. It creates this connection with others for a lifetime. My work may take me to Australia, I hope I can stop by and say hello.

I remember reading in a MA magazine interview which i have somewhere with Duncan witnessing a Wing Chun fighter aboard the ship fighting and beating many sailors. Duncan Leung was on his way from Hong Kong to Australia then. After he went back to Hong Kong he started learning Wing Chun after that. Duncan talked about, Ah Hing and his fighting prowess. Ah Hing was Cheung Cheuk Hing (William Cheung).
Has your Sifu mentioned this story ?
    Thanks for the interview.

I found that Wing Chun from applied has a certain similarity with Hakka styles, such as Chow gar and Bak Mei, especially in the use of the spine, like the strength of a bow. Did Duncan create this similarity? Because we know that there are many styles of Wing Chun.

I wish I could find a school but there is only one Wing Chun school in Tampa and it’s from a different lineage 😢
