Sir my father had stroke before 11 months and operated left side. After 6-7 months he has movements in both hands and legs (left side has a little bit movement than Right side) . But after thar he has hydrocephalus that cause no movement in left leg. Still after 3-4 months he has no movement in left leg and physiotherapy is continuing. What to do sir..??

U should avoid to use ms in hemiplegia, try to do passive movement in starting phase then active assisted after some time use resisted exercise. MS is used basically in nerve injury based disability or where the muscle grade in 0 to 1 .

Have patience it will be better week after week do regular exercise two times a day atleast 30 to 60 minutes. It could be active assisted or self assisted by patient himself depending upon patient condition.

Try to do active assisted exercise. & active resisted exercise. If possible buy ankle waight cuff 1 or 1/2 kg which one u suites better and do regular exercise with them.
Sir My elder brother admitted in J.J HOSPITAL since 20th July ’21 because of stroke due to blood clotting. Left part of his body is paralyzed and his right hand is amputated (below the elbow) due to blood clotting. Embolectomy surgery to remove blood clotting was done on 22nd July after few hours gangrene started forming again. Amputation of right hand below elbow was done on 29th July. After amputation, we were waiting for skin grafting/plastic surgery but he was detected with COVID-19 and shifted to different hospital. We are worried about his paralysis treatment. It is getting delayed. We want to bring him home and start with psyiotherphy but hospital won't give him discharge till he is COVID Negative. I wanted to ask you, if psyiotherphy started after 2 months of stoke, does this much of delay impact patient recovery?
