Poch was not out of his depth. Poch created the foundations for this to happen. Poch took a bunch of individuals and turned them into a SQUAD! Enzo now comes in and is doing the tactical work but again it's easier to do the tactical work now that the squad had one year together Poch also sorted out the chronic unfitness the squad had. Lampard said it when he took over as interim, they were all unfit they were all far below premier league standard. Poch fixed that he then instileld team work and work ethic into them. Enzo is now providing the tactical instructions
@@leonemitchell1816 just about to say this. Poch made Jackson, Palmer and Madueke cook. He pulled them together. He gave Caicedo, and Cucurella confidence. He set us up nicely to be honest. No way Maresca was coming into what Poch came into.

I like to think that poch made the squad physically fit at peak levels and maresca bought the tactics of ancelloti x pep with the free flowing tactics, players playing where they love but also improving with a pep styled discipline in pressing
I can't lie, it's conflicting listening to the media in August and the complete 180 in December. Most Chelsea fans rated the squad even last year and were at pains to change the media and online narrative, hearing these positive sentiments sounds strange now.
Both Lampard and Potter said when Enzo was playing DM that they are only playing him there because they don't have a choice .Remember the club sold Jorginho leaving the midfield short of options and Enzo was the only player who could actually play that role.
