Heath's dance is so freaking good, Carter killed it! And I loved the way it was shot, especially the ending where the camera pans up on Heat as he takes off the hood, it gave me chills when I first watched it
My head says that Heath just could've just told them and maybe auditioned like Kenzie shoulda done for the auditions since he wanted to be in the next step nationals. He could've just told Richelle what he felt and his dreams before she prepared everything so she doesn't have to work out things that might get in the way of the movie. So Richelle can't stress. But once I look at his perspective, I kinda understand where he's coming from. Because, he wanted someone to vent to, but he spilled a little too much beans and Tea-araBling wanted more. But he shouldn't have betrayed the team in the first place.
I agree this solo is SO freaking amazing like i considered Heath great before but after this solo i was like "Heath is one of the best dancers on TNS ever"
This was a great episode. I absolutely loved the Heath reveal scene and the fallout with the team after the confession. Heath’s reasoning makes sense given that he wasn’t particularly close with anyone other than Ozzy as their relationship went from intense rivalry to a friendship. He still felt like an outsider in a way and likely did it out of resentment. A grudge that never quite went away so he had to vent and let his voice get heard even if it meant taking drastic measures. Heath’s solo was a great highlight. I love how it was shot with his hoodie up bringing that villainous vibe combined with the scenes of the team deciding his fate and processing his betrayal. I hope we get an extended dance of this after the season ends. I absolutely agree that they should have had a physical fight happen after the reveal (like Tracy Beaker style). It would make the moment even juicer. I feel like Ozzy was the closest one to losing it given that he felt the most hurt out of everyone when it came to Heath’s betrayal. I also liked seeing Richelle’s vulnerability again which harkens back to Season 6 where she struggled to express her emotions and shuts them out when she’s hurting deep down. It’s really sad to see the way things turned out with Shad given that he and Richelle were getting closer and I was loving the chemistry. I didn’t expect to see Maria again. You were so right about Richelle’s sad scene on the chair being a lot better compared to the caricature scene in Season 7. It’s a lot more serious here. Although I love how Richelle resolved her relationship with Kenzie. Speaking of Kenzie, I enjoyed her duet with Pete. I’m glad that she’s getting more screentime now. I’m still assuming that Kenzie is on A Troupe as both dancer and leader unless they clarify it in the future. I hope she continues to get more screentime. Lily taking a mature stance on the Heath debate was really nice too. :)
Cleo said "My dream has always been to go to nationals too, but I would never do what Heath did" I find this sooo hard to believe considering what she did last year with Summer and Richelle. I can't believe she said that. 👎🏼
Yeah. Season 7 Cleo would definitely scheme something like this lol but I think she’s become more of a changed woman now in this season. Jude has softened her a bit. :)
Idk i dont want to get bash for this but i can see where heath is coming from and why he did it . Im guessing he felt like if he said how he felt no one would listen so he had to betray the team just for people to notice. I get what he did wasnt good at all but i can 100 percent see how hes feeling .
I really don’t like what Heath did, but I can see his perspective. He definitely should’ve been like Kenzie and just been honest from the start, but with how everyone was treating Kingston for wanting to leave I can see why he would be hesitant to tell them the truth. I also have a lot of respect for him actually standing in front of them and apologizing before anyone knew it was him. It takes a lot of courage to face people you know you’ve wronged and apologize while knowing you most likely won’t be forgiven.
Last year, Izzy said that Ozzy was their ride home during the power outage episode. I don't know how the driver license system works in Canada but shouldn't he have been at least 16, that means he is at least 17 now? I feel like age has always been a plot hole at the next step
You have to remember season 7 and 8 happen during the same year (there's no such thing as "last year" but last season). Ozzy doesn't need to be a year older than in season 7 meaning he is still 16.
There is a (I think) year long gap between 7 and 8 as Nick says about the renovations. If its not a year its at least a few months, half a year inbetween

You know, I understand why Heath was upset. Totally get it. Honestly from what he said, it sounded like he never really felt like he was apart of the team-especially when they left him out for big opportunities. So with that in mind, I can understand why he didn’t give one f*** about exposing their secrets because he wasn’t really close or friends with any of them. And I’m saying that because, i don’t think Heath would ever do that to Izzy and it’s because they’re friends, whereas I can’t really say Heath is friends with anyone. His main plot point until this point was his feud with Ozzy and so he never looked part of the team. So him gossiping with Tiara about his team, idk, it’s not as scandalous to me cause I can see how it got to this point. I think the empathy from his teammates is better than last season-last season things would have went differently, but I would have liked if they all had a sit down to hash out everything going on because regardless of Heath spilling their secrets or not, the entire team is dysfunctional and have major communication issues so all of these fights would have happened anyway, Tiara’s involvement just sped it up lol. And I say that to say, the season 6-8 A-Troupe have such a strange vibe with each other. They don’t treat each other as “family” at all and never have imo. They lack understanding and feel disconnected 90% of the time from each other. I couldn’t see them keeping contact with each other because certain characters don’t interact at all. And, as proven by this season and the last season-the moment someone messes up, they quickly cut you out but keep you around if it benefits them. And it’s like, on one hand I understand when someone does you wrong to do away with them instead of giving them multiple times to screw you over, BUT I think context truly matters. TNS can be some black and white with their thinking. ANYWAY, I think Shad got in contact with Maria after Richelle and his talk. He should have been honest and upfront with her about that, but I guess he was waiting until the show was over to tell her he’d be leaving. I think it’s funny that he left Richelle because she didn’t trust him (which, fair enough), but she was lowkey right not to, he was lying by omission about having another woman-a very specific woman-on the side LMFAO 🥴 Again, Pete and Kenzie have great chemistry, I like them as a duo! I think they should have forgone the dance captain title and straight up had her come to Nick asking to be the choreographer because that’s pretty much what we see her doing. Heath’s dancing was A+ and I love how the song matches even lyric wise to what he’s going through. The trip from Jude was a little goofy but I think it’s because she’s so much taller in comparison she wasn’t trying to land on Cleo and unalive her 💀 I died when Cleo popped up with the broken leg and your reaction because even tho I watched it, I forgot she did that, and listening to your theory I was really thinking you were onto something only for the balloon to pop lol. Question: Is it harder for you to forgive others when you feel wronged? You won’t let the writers rest for how goofy they wrote Richelle with that giant cup last season and it kills me 😂

I think s4 A Troupe was the worst for the 'family' vibe, but s8 tbf they do all seem to get on. I can't even imagine Piper and Ozzy having a conversation 😭
I feel like this A Troupe group felt the most like a family in Season 6 back when Noah was taking lead of the team. Kenzie, Summer and Finn also slotted in nicely with the team when they were new and how they banded against Miss Angela in the early S6 episodes. Once Noah and Jacquie left, the family atmosphere sadly disappeared after the first episode of Season 7 (as soon as Michelle leaves).

At the A Troupe auditions they accepted 11 dancers (10 main and 1 alternate). With Kenzie joining they have a full team of 12 dancers. Kenzie will be dancing at Nationals

In my opinion i feel that heath was way out of line. If he actually expressed to team how he was feeling about dance mania, nationals, etc, and then the team continued to overshadow him, i would be able to emphasise with him easier. Even then, exposing your friend's personal life to thousands of people would be completely uncalled for. But he rarely even spoke to them about the way he felt he was being treated so the team most likely didn't even know since they were so preoccupied with everything. He tried to destroy his friend's futures simply because he felt that he was being overlooked. Not a good enough motive when he could of just been mature and left the team.
I think its a bit ironic how you were asking people not to spoil and then go on to put big plot points on the thumbnail for anyone scrolling past to see. Just saying
I actually have deliberately not put huge plot points in thumbnails, like for example in the ep where the mole is revealed I didn't put the pic of them in the thumbnail. Maria being back in itself isn't a huge point, it's HOW and WHY she's back that's the shocker. Hope that makes sense
