Yes, Kai fell because the floor was slightly open. but he's really professional so you don't see that as a mistake.
To say this song was a hit is an understatement; some people say that the SM Agency building in Seoul is the "house that Growl built." They must have performed this song literally tens of thousands of times, so this isn't going to be perfect. Also the choreography was designed for a camera to be kind of in the middle of all of them, just like we see in the dance practice (and the video, which was done in one take!!). So the stage version is an adaptation from that. Also, don't forget, Exo were little tiny babies back then. They debuted in April 2012, and this song was released in August 2013. Also, less than a year later, several members of Exo quit the group so I bet by Growl there was already significant tension. So sure, not perfect but I think there are mitigating factors here! :) I can totally understand why you'd be a fan and not a stan -- they're a vocal group who can dance, instead of a dancing group who can sing, if that makes any sense? :)
They probably perform this song 100 times on stage in 2013 ( Let's not talk about practices n all) It is one of the most covered song in kpop, in SK if you don’t know the song you are not Korean. If you see them in 2013 they looked tired, frustrated by over performancing Growl many times. There are few stages it feels like they are not enjoying it anymore( I felt so bad for them, they used to perform with fractured leg etc) . But as EXO members situation is lil complicated, they performed Growl in many different version of singing and dancing
I love EXO, they are so talented, but they are human. There are a few performances where they look a little tired, understandably given their schedules, but here to me they look a little hesitant and nervous. I think there may have had more problems with the flooring than just the fall. Their feet don't look as steady as usual.
The dance practice is shot as it is as the MV was a one shot and their stages tried to reflect the feel of that.
the growl era is the latest determinant for KPop, you could say this era is the 3rd generation starting with exo
I wonder if Lay was distracted trying to not get hung up on that crack in the stage sincehe was right on it. You'd think that since EXOs Growl was SM's goose who laid a golden egg & EXO had to perform it so much, that they'd have advocated at the very least for their artists to have safe surface to dance on.

i think youd really like to check out legends of kpop dance practice by txt and enhypen, they do a cover of some of the most popular kpop songs and it shows the evolution of kpop choreography throughout the decades (growl is one of the songs they covered)

They're a second (or a fraction of) off because they're wearing in-ear monitors so the sound gets to them earlier than the mic of the video (because they have to sing for recording/broadcast) which gets the music from the speakers. I hope this explains it~
there are times members get injured on stage due to stage conditions or the members own fault .i remember an incident where they were all performing and there were some glass pieces or spikey things on stage which poked kai's hand , instead continuing kai was just kicking those things out from stage .. it was near end in this video ua-cam.com/video/4O1tqhamiEo/v-deo.html

Honestly, the just seem tired here. Most of the stages during promotions were sharp but this is a concert so I’m thinking they were just rundown. 🤷🏻♀️
