Have a 16 with this trim level basic work truck no reverse camera, small 4 inch screen looking to get this 12" screen and add reverse camera by the tailgate radio looks promising
I wished I would have seen this before I bought my Kenwood. The only problem I have with the Kenwood, besides the size, is the dimming feature. I don't like bright dashboards when I am driving at night. The Kenwood only has dim or regular. I wished it had the capability of dimming with the interior lights and dashboard. Does this dim any lower for night driving? I think you should be able to dim it as low as you want it.
It has a dimmer yes. The dimmer doesn’t respond with the vehicle dimmer though. Meaning the dash dimmer doesn’t progressive adjust the radios brightness. It’s in either day mode or night mode, you doe set what the brightness is for each option though.
You can also black out the screen while leaving all apps running.
I have a 2018 2500 RAM
I can't seem to find this specific unit on the website. I see a 10inch Gen 6 but not the 12 inch gen 6
It is set to release in a few weeks.
I have a 2018 2500 Laramie, do I choose Mid or High? I think on your 15.6 xl video you mention "High"
Depends what your factory Climate Controls look like.

@@MFZero2 if it was equipped with the dual/auto climate then it should be set to Ram HI
I just put a deposit on this from one of your distributors. Is there a media hub box that adds the HDMI into my centre console? I already have USB ports there and wondering how those will tie in with the Linkswell. Thanks
@@iRemainNameless so we don’t make anything specific to add HDMI in your hub but there are other company’s that do.
If you want to use an HDMI input be sure you order the HDMI adapter to add the input for you.
I recently bought the TS-DGPU10-4RR-6H and installed it but now the sound from the sensors does not come out when it is close to an object, what can I do?
Make sure radar sound is turned on in the system settings. As well in car setting make sure it’s set to sight and sound and the volume is on hi
@@LinksWellIncThe radar sound is activated but remains silent when approaching. Could it be some connector?

It doesn’t unless you physically break something. But know our tech support is only for our authorized dealers technicians.
So if you run into issues installing your selling dealer will be your tech support.
I had a t style LinksWell 12" installed on my 2019 Ram. The radio reception is absolutely awful. is this the way it is supposed to be? Very disappointing!
My guess you plugged in the wrong AM FM antenna. We actually have really good tuners.
Also make sure Antenna Power is turned on in the settings.

Wish I knew that you can't see the screen with polarized lenses. I just got the 12 installed and I'm always wearing sunglasses that are polarized due to my sensitivity to the sun. Now when I wear my sunglasses the screen is black, I can't see anything unless I take off my sunglasses😔
So there are screen protectors that create a reverse effect.
Not all polarized glasses are the same either. Unfortunately with polarized glasses it’s a gamble and if we make it work with one it stops with the other.
@@LinksWellInc I ordered a couple screen protectors from Amazon hopefully that will help. Also is there a way to get rid of the dual reverse guidelines for the RAM classic when I put it in reverse I have which looks like the factory guidelines and then the guideline from the links well
@@mjnatty968 yes. Ho to settings/system/settings guide and turn off the “Dynamic Guidelines” then save and reboot.
Tint your windshield...completely legal and helps tremendously, I have all my vehicles done
Spoke with my local dealer and discussed adding on the HDMI module so that I could plug in a fire stick, I was told I didn’t need to get the module because the device itself can run all the applications that the fire stick has. Netflix, HBO max, Hulu etc. is this true? I feel that getting the module would make it easier with the fire stick since I could use a remote vs using the touchscreen all the time.
It can indeed run all those apps on it. I don’t know why a remote would be easier than touch controls. But if you prefer remote then doing HDMI in with fire stick would work.
You would need to get a hotspot in your truck for the Firestick to use. Our new GEN 6 let you install a sim for Internet. But 100% preference. It will work both ways
@@LinksWellInc the reason for the remote is for kids in the back watching there shows being able to control it without pestering me to change it… roadtrips. Good to know that it works either way thank you!

I got it installed and love it! One issue I’m having though is, when I set the time it won’t save after turning the truck off. Is there a fix for this?
Also when using split screen, I’ve tried the 3 finger gesture to flip the screens but nothing happened

@@ElJugoSb then that feature doesn’t work. The radio and the rest of the features will all work normal.

So they will not fit the 10-12 Ram. Only the 13-18 and 19-up classics.

Nope. I called around and one of their authorized sellers said linkswell told them it's not available yet.

Sure. Using USB or your favorite streaming app like NextFlix, UA-cam, DisneyPlus and so on.

Can a gen 2 for a dodge be hard wired into a Chevy Tahoe.
If all you want to work is the radio itself sure.
But the steering wheel controls, climate controls, and any other factory feature will be lost.

@@Davidj3 no. 2012 is not the same so it would be the same issue. No interfacing. You can power the radio part but the AC and all that will not work.

If the 12 inch had the XL knob then it would be the end all upgrades😊
