that 2023 EG run was like a fever dream now that we're almost a year removed from it. It's so surreal that you'd drop everything you're doing just to watch them play live.
I remember that everyone questioned Potter's credibility as a coach when they were a laughingstock except for a small amount of us who believed. I did so because I thought it was amazing that she's the only woman in a huge league of men and rooted for her even if they were losing. I'm so glad that they were able to bounce back after and had her prove everyone wrong in Tokyo and Champs. It's sad that it fell off quickly but man, those days were one of the most memorable days in every valorant fan's recent memories. The underdog dominating on the biggest stage.

She reminds a lot of Tom coughlin, head coach of the ny giants, leading a rag tag group to absolutely shock the world. She made EG champions once, she most definitely will do it again
I still believe in Potter’s tenacity. I’ve been riding the EG train since 2022, and I just have this feeling that she will make the 2023 magic happen again. If she says she’s not done, then I’m not done believing in her

In the Valorant scene, Mommy Potter is beloved after that run in Tokyo and then championship. Glad they're finally covering her because she's considered on of the best Valorant coaches in the pro scene for awhile. She's coach in one of the worst orgs and still went to finals in Tokyo and then won a championship.

I legitimately teared up. I'm around potter's age and have somewhat lost my desire to compete even in local tournaments, only playing unranked Valorant and fighting games. Hers and Team Secret's JessieVash (and numerous fighting game pros like Daigo and Justin Wong) are proof that age does not matter when you have the desire to improve, evolve, and win.

Not necessarily. She looks like she enjoys cooking something from scratch rather than given a preexisting, working team.
@@silentKeys20 you may be right that's why I said fnatic who have good talent scouting but it can be also because she knows eg doesn't have money so she doesn't try btw making a team of existing pro players with lan experience is a more efficient way to get results
the drive to just do it all over after the pay cuts and having the team split up is just mesmerizing. i could imagine her never pressing save in a video game and when she loses all the progress shes not frustrated, but happy and motivated.
the stories about these personalities sometimes make me pick myself up when im down, i think, what LS has done, what huanfeng has done. potter is right up there now.

Bro, I remember watching Potter in middle school. Lowkey the reason why I got into Csgo.
I still remember arguing with this kid online saying Potter is shit cause she removed bcj and I told him she's an amazing coach and see what she does. Few months after she came second in Tokyo and then a world champion. She's the goat when you compare the teams she get to what other coaches have.
Valorant is so blessed as the only tier 1 esports that have a woman as one of the best coach in the world. If this game is still alive in 10 years, Potter's name will still be constantly being mentioned and possibly be in Hall of Fame one day.
As PRX fan, that grand final was a nightmare.. Seeing how Potter and Boostio outsmarted PRX was painful but very deserved for EG to win that out.

I remember started watching Master Tokyo, but didn't know which team to root for since I rarely watch esport, so I picked EG since they sounds cool and Demon1 was popping off during the semi final, but too bad, they failed short to Fanatic in the Final and seeing Pottor waving the tropic after the game as she left the stage got me exiting to see where she will take the team. And she delivered it back home!

stories like these is what i tried to consistently coach my youth teams is that if you wanna achieve something, you need to work hard for it. You can have your mind on winning medal or trophies, but you cant do at all if you can't put in the effort and hard work 1st. common mistake every athelteplayers always make

Whenever the other team had a time out to run a strat, Potter found ways for EG to still win that round and win when they lost pistol. That 2023 team was also the best in the world on Fracture. They were just so clean with that map, no one could beat them.
