I do dip with gel method. With that it's very important to pour over, otherwise you get big wrinkles, which can't be buffed out. For chrome, use your no- wipe topcoat and cure for half the total time. I rub my chrome in with a silicone tool - no need to buy those little sponge tools. (I have to be very frugal!) Then finish the top coat cure. Finish with a thin layer of base and cure, then the final top coat. Never had the top coat peel, because it's totally stuck to the base.
@@valerie022848 yes I love the pour over method for both dip liquids and gel! I get better results with my lamp curing 20 seconds than half time, but this time I cured for well over half unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention LOL. And yes- gel base is a must under the gel top!
After the chrome, how long is full cure for gel base and gel top? If I use gel, am I still able to manually file off my color down to my clear or do I have to use efile? That's what's been stopping me from trying gels and I really love chrome and want to try it. That's my goal.
You still fully cure 60-90 seconds depending on what the timing for the gels you’re using say to! You can hand file down to your clear still - it just takes time like it does it does with only dip liquids.
