Even within my friends group that I discuss literature and philosophy with, none read Dick. Your channel has brought a sense of community and inclusion as a fellow "dickhead". I can't thank you enough for your content sir. Yours and Michael Sugrue's are channels that I will be following for the rest of my life. God bless.

We dickheads need to stick by each other in thick and thin!

This book really opened my eyes to animal-machine-human relations. Thanks for breaking some of it down.
I’ve been wondering now reading through DADoES whether PKD was aiming to highlight the commodification and fetishism of animals, especially when Iran calls the goat an “acquisition” and the broader society’s quasi-religion of Mercerism which attempts to have empathy for animals only amounts to animals as status symbols, or the latest prices in Sidney’s. Even the ersatz animals are simulacra of the animals that often don’t exist anymore, such as the owl.

Dick says a lot about his motivations and ideas, particularly about this novel. I haven't seen him say anything about your interpretation
