என் மகனுக்கு 34 வயது. 32 வயது பெண்ணின் ஜாதகத்தை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து பார்த்தோம். ஒன்பது பொருத்தங்கள் இருந்தது. அதனாலேயே நான் எப்படியாவது இந்த பெண்ணை என் மகனுக்கு திருமணம் செய்து வைத்துவிட வேண்டும் என்று முயற்சி செய்தேன்.. ஆனால் அவர்கள் எனக்குத் தெரியாமல் என் மகனிடம் போனில் பேசி கல்யாணம் ஆன பிறகு உங்க அம்மா நம்மோடு இருக்கக் கூடாது நீங்கள் எங்கள் வீட்டில் வந்து இருக்க வேண்டும். என்று இன்னும் பல கண்டிஷன்கள் போட்டிருக்கிறார்கள் இது எனக்குத் தெரியாது. என் மகன் என்னிடம் சொல்லாமலேயே அந்தப் பெண்ணை வேண்டாம் என்று மறுத்து விட்டிருக்கிறான். என் மகனிடம் கெஞ்சினேன். வயது கடந்து கொண்டே போகிறது இப்போது திருமணம் முடிக்காவிட்டால் பின் எப்போது முடிப்பது என்று கலங்கி அவனிடம் பேசினேன். பிறகு தான் தெரிந்தது அந்தப் பெண் இன்னும் பல விதமான கண்டிஷன்கள் போட்டிருக்கிறாள். அதனால் என் மகன் சம்மதிக்கவே இல்லை. திருமணம் என்ற பந்தத்திற்குள் நுழைய வேண்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்த பிறகு 32 வயதை கடந்த ஒரு பெண் எதற்காக இப்படி செய்ய வேண்டும். அவ்வளவு தாயைப் போல நானும் ஒரு தாய் தானே அவர்கள் வீட்டிலும் இரண்டு ஆண்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள் அவர்களுக்குப் திருமணம் செய்யும்போது இப்படி எல்லாம் வரப்போகும் மருமகள் பேசினால் எப்படி ஏற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள்.

In tamilnadu marriage is all about money first the fundamentals of marriage are killed here. It sounds like business the way they speak. My experience when my parents had difficulty for my bachelor degree to find a girl in 94, but fast forward 5 years when i moved to UK and own a 10c house I got doctors, Software engineering you name it the Q which was pathic and they all had personal benefit calculation beyond marriage, for them marriage was used as a platform for gains. I realized and ran away from this awful culture but today I am married to a European we have 2 wonderful kids. Honestly my wife only knows what work I actually do after a few years of our marriage, when someone asks she would generally say I am not sure he works in some computers coz she was embarrassed when someone asked (who was actually an Indian) what in computers he do she was not able to answer. Hope you understand the difference I am trying to highlight. India's marriage culture is going not on a health path it is not a curse but my genuine concern. We will soon have more divorce, more family counseling, more physiological clinics, more unfaithful relationships my hope is our spiritual path can help to some extent but for most marriage will be just an incident in their life without understand the life.
