Thanks for the review Jess....will certainly give the Green a try.
Great review. Fun and honest. I am surprised it did not grab your attention a little more. I really enjoy this. It is by far, my favourite JW. Granted I can still find it in a couple shops that have not jumped their prices at $55 to 65. Which, for what it offeres, is an amazing deal. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been spending time with it since shooting that, and I already liked it better while I was editing than I did while shooting.
This is my favourite blended malt. Really interesting dram.
It’s definitely the best of the JW range. I’ve recently started a bit of a deep-dive into blends and blended malts; I’m discovering some terrific drams.
@@dribsanddrams Some of the blended malts really show the art of the blender.
@@jackbackband7733 absolutely. I’ve now shot two compass box reviews (but only one is up yet). Fabulous stuff. I have another compass box arriving in about a week.
I like adding a little JW Double Black to my Green dram, it delivers more waxiness/oiliness and a little smokey taste
Like a few drops, or like a teaspoon? If I ever pick up a double black, I’d definitely try it.
@@dribsanddrams tablespoon full
@@utube321piotr good to know
Will add to my give it a try list. Nice T-Shirt, Pea Soup!
Pea soup!
I just caught this Jess! Nice!
Some cool dude gifted it to me. 😁
Nice vid bud. Cheers.
Thanks muchly!
The Green Label does catch single malt drinkers by surprise. My whisky club often includes it in blind tastings and most people mistake it for single malt.
Yeah, It's great. Definitely my favourite JW release.
love this ,my favourite of jw , it sells fast too when it does get here
Hard to find here as well. It’s a very nice dram.
Hey my husband Joel and I just finished a bottle of this Johnnie Walker Green Label! Nice! I am huge peat head but this scotch is truly very enjoyable! I am not usually a JW fan bit this is a nice scotch blend! Love the heather, leather and just a tiny whif of smokey brine - love that sooo much!! It must be the Talisker!! Hard not to love right? ! Yes the JW Red is pathetic - huge understatement! ! Agreed - no water needs to be added! I do prefer more smoke and brine and I absolutely adore Islay peated scotch but this is a nice blended scotch dram. $115 in Vancouver before taxes. A bit pricey. The blue is overrated and overpriced! For this price there is better scotch out there but JW does do a good job with this blend!! Thanks so much!! 🙂
I think it’s my fave of the JW range. I’m also more into single malts and Islay drams, but this definitely has a place in my bar cart.
@@dribsanddrams Love this beauty and yay to peat! Fire up the BBQ and have a couple of delicious drams with this JW Green Label or a nice peat monster! Hope you are well! Cheers! 🙂
Cool vlogs man, greetings from Sweden
Hej. Jag är glad att du tycker om dem.
That's the extent of my Duolingo Swedish, unfortunately. Still working on it...
Gonna have to try it...but probably a smaller bottle just in case
MIght be ablke to find a smaller bottle. Maybe a travel-sized or something.
Jesse, awesome vid! Quick question for you: what do you feel is the best Quebec-distilled bottle you’ve come across thus far? Keep up the good work :)
That's a great question. I think that so far, my favourite QC whisky has been the single malt from Maison Sivo that's aged in uh...sauternes casks, I think? It's almost a dessert wine. I haven't done a deep dive in QC whisky yet because there are few choices. Now, if we open it up to gin, there's a tonne of awesome bottles coming out of this province.Like, toooonnes.
@@dribsanddrams Oh absolutely, the gin is quite impressive. I definitely haven’t had enough of them yet to truly form a solid opinion, but I’ve been pleased with everything I’ve had.. as far as the whiskies go (I haven’t yet had any from QC, looking to explore a bit), just from browsing what’s available at SAQ, the Cirka’s seem the most intriguing somehow, just don’t know if I want to spend ~$80 on bottles that young
