Young man I'll be the first to tell you the truth in life. You better have a good means to make a good living and invest your money smartly before you start dumping your money into this hobby before you try to turn it into a or try to turn it into a pro career. You can't fish if the money wolf is always knocking on your door.
@@rickvann3489 Well said, I see what your saying and I totally get it. I know that Fishing Is a expensive sport, and the tournaments aren't cheap either. I may have had a late start to my career, unlike all these pros that started bass fishing when they were very young and started fishing tournaments by age 9. But this is my dream job, I know that it can be hard to achieve ones dreams but hey, You know what they say... Champions aren't born, there made.
@@connorB425 your not late to the party. I started when I was 27 and in two years won 2 boats and cashed 13 out of 20 checks. But I had sold a trucking business and had $70,000 to fish on. Back in 1995 I surrounded myself with good information from people that was not above us, Larry Nixon was a big help even my whole 30 minutes with KVD I asked the right questions these guys helped out but my best source and dear friend Mr. Mega Bucks 2 Nixon is #1 , Doug Garrett is the other back to back mega bucks winner and was a true mentor to the sport and one the the best to take a person fishing. Back in the day all you had to do was be at a boat ramp and ask one of these pros if you could prefish with them. I don't believe they are like that today. I'm coming off a 20 year hiatus from fishing and getting back into it and the new guys are nothing like the old guard. If your ever around places I'm fishing just let me know. I'm going to winter my boat in Arkansas at Doug's house and fishing all over Arkansas and Texas this winter then moving the boat over to Florida come February. I'm taking a year to get acclimated to all this new stuff and got a really neat or hopefully blow your socks off neat thing coming up.

Watching this makes me feel better about getting 68mph in my champion 203 with a 225 opti and a 4 blade 25p. One day imma get a 3 blade and try to get to 70. Love my champion hull. Super smooth ride
Johnny M & his disciples flagship boat. IMO it’s the KIA or Hyundai of boats. Nothing beats the Champion!!! Give a Nitro some time and you’ll start to see some surprises. Cap rail delaminates. Cracks , carpet falling off, seats splitting at the seams, cracking in the hull if you over use it in heavy chop, trailer is like a Tonka toy . I’m sorry but why did JM kill 2 other boat brands that were so much better?

I’ve heard so many nightmare stories about Nitros quality and Mercury reliability, I’ve always wanted a Nitro with a ProXS but shy’d away. I went with Falcon with a Suzuki 250SS but still drool over Nitro but really hate to get rid of a phenomenal rough water ride and the bullet proof reliability of a Suzuki! Sweet boat thanks for the vid Edwin!
I love a wristband. I think that is one of the best idea. I like when fall off your boat it shut the engine off. That is a cool safety to have. Love you ride. Thank for the good idea and tips. Keep it up.

I've been a Nitro owner for 20 years. never disappointed. I'm lucky to have access to prattville alabama BPS service crew. they've always treated me like I'm special.
Kevin, those are some great people there! They have helped me more than once.
To me Edwin bridges the gap between the older and newer generation of pros. His versatility is amongst the best of them! Yes, KVD is the goat, but in this day and age Edwin has the same diversity as a Jacob Wheeler for instance. On a bass boat perspective, Nitros are what they are. In my mind, if I had the $$$ I’d definitely spend my money on a different option ( spend more $$$) if I were to buy a boat for longevity and resale! Great looking rigs nonetheless.
I love mine and the custom color is awesome. I’ve had every big Nitro and this one is head and shoulders above all others.

Awesome boat!!! Dang it my garage is 4” to short. Lol. Does have a lot of nice features but will have to stick with the 86 Pro craft 1660 for now. Maybe one of these days. Very happy for you and you seem very excited about the XL! Best of luck next season

Very curious on how it handles ‘big water’ like st Lawrence / Champlain
Once you`re in top speed, try trimming up a bit. It should get you 4-5 MPH. Overall, I`ve watched both videos of your new boat and I must say, very jealous. Ever consider raffling it off for charity when you`re done with it? Rick Mercer`s sponsor did that one year and I must`ve put in 100 tickets to try to win it. Have a safe season Ed!

Same speed as my 2021 Nitro Z19 PRO 67 but that was August speed. Loaded out 2 people. My jack plate is at 2 1/2" to 3"

Great review. Still having major porpoising from the 30 to 40 mph range on my 2021 z21. I am going to try that 4 blade Fury prop. You mentioned a 23 or 24 pitch do you have a specific recommendation? I Don't need to go fast just need a nice comfortable ride for my wife and I. This is the most comfortable riding boat I've ever been in except for the frustrating mid-range. If I can just get rid of that mid-range porpoising it would be great all-around. Thank you
24 Fury 4 blade is the best prop for that boat. (I have one)

10 pounds of water pressure going through the engine to keep it cool. Sometimes when you raise your engine too high it will lose water pressure and then overheat the engine.
