That last one is truly terrifying. People are just living their lives and others are just watching their entire life unedited like a tv show. I bet there are years of people's home camera footage 24 hours a day being recorded and stored and they don't even know it.
Lol tbh it's not really that bad. Most home security cameras are facing outdoors or areas of little activity or seldom visitors. I feel like it's extremely boring.

2 boxes of spaghetti noodles
One ounce of feta cheese
Half a jar of prego sauce
And a phone playing bitch lasanga
Tofu Ricotta:
1 Block extra firm tofu
4 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup nutritional yeast
1-2 tbsp Italian seasoning
Blend all together, then layer lasagna noodles, pasta sauce and ricotta until 3-4 layers deep. Add 1 cup of water, then cook at 400 F for 30-40 minutes
(Veganism is nice. Can be better for your health, the Earth, and animals.)

The one that creeps me out the most is the photos stuff. It sounds so innocent but super unusual and weird. You never know why possibly a person would just do that.
I think he suspects her of cheating thus taking pics of the keys, purse, clothes, and makeup. All things you’d want to monitor the location of closely if you’re paranoid.
It's interesting how much Nexpo's voice has changed over a simple 4 years, because at this time, his voice was monotone, but now his voice is more lively and comforting.

I had a manic episode and just before it I thought I had to memorise everything I was thinking, in order, and write it down... there's something eerily reminiscent in the ubisoft bye bye posts.
My ex was an avid 4channer and once in awhile I would sit down with him and cruise the boards. One time ...maybe 2 years ago.. we came across a thread where someone was hacking into personal webcams (baby monitors, xbox kinnects, etc) we watched as this person would use the speakers to talk to the unsuspecting people. I watched as families searched their living rooms, confused where the singing was coming from, or a mother rushing into the nursery to hear who was making noises, and even watched a guy watch football on his leather couch for like 4 minutes. It was fascinating in an "i know i shouldnt watch " type of way. I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out just how easy it was to hack into them. The most I ever got was using the admin password to tap into a street camera in some unknown country. My ex explained that stumbling on a thread like this was rare...especially on /b/. It has always stuck with me hung up in the duality of curiosity and concern . It was like watching someone play SIMS

After a ton of research, people have found that yayvideogames was most likely a man in Melbourne, Australia who was an ex Jehovah's witnesses member who was forced to take psychedelics as a kid. He was eventually diagnosed with CFS, and talked about how he was in constant unbearable pain that occasionally went as far as to make him not be able to process his own thoughts. It's quite clear that this man went insane, and he, sadly, probably ended his own life. After researching, I honestly feel an extreme amount of pity for him. May he rest in peace, if he is dead.

My mom has BPD. She has alway been a great and loving mother to me. But when I went to voluntary military service, she started calling me every evening, crying, saying I abandoned her, and would never come home. It made me feel really guilty, and I can totally see a mother with a very bad case of undiagnosed BPD, doing this to her own son. Someone with BPD's worst fear is being abandoned.
No. BPD doesn't help, but it does not get possessive like this. This is gruesome histrionic personality disorder which led into psychosis. I'm 100% certain. She sounds paranoid. The obsessive but calculated way of killing her son determines that she lives in different reality... but a structured one. Psychosis. That's why I'm excluding BPD. BPD tendencies are, when manic, impulsive and reckless.

My mother also has BPD. She will admit openly that her worst fear is abandonment. This lead to her threatening me for trying to move out and in with my boyfriend, multiple times and in different ways. It fucking sucks and she will never own up to it, always gaslighting if I try to bring up her threats and abuse.
BPD can lead to abusive and aggressive behavior, if you look in the right places you can see how bad it can get. I use Tumblr (lmao I know) and it's fucking rampant there. I've lived with people with BPD who let it get that bad, my now ex boyfriend has it. Shit I have it.
The ex thing with BPD lead to him being very possessive and jealous, I hated it. He talked about how he wanted to hurt the person I started dating after he and I broke up.
It fucking sucks, but I will not suffer another person's symptoms, you feel? Never going to live with my mom again.
Also the person above me isn't being real. BPD DOES lead to possessive behaviour. It's the whole "favourite person" thing. I was my mom's favourite person so she felt like she owned me.

Once upon a time in college me and a classmate were browsing some cams on the deep web and oh boy oh boy never again. There were buttons that made you able to move the cam around. At one point we found something that looked like someone broke into an office, a big mess and a Christmas tree was laying on the floor. When we moved the cam there was a fucking clown sitting in a chair. Still freaks me out till this day

I’m so glad the webcam thing has become talked about. Years ago, at random, I noticed my web cam light go on and it freaked me out enough to immediately cover it with tape. I never took it off for anything and whenever I get a new laptop, I immediately cover the cam with tape again. I always thought I was fucking insane for this but clearly not.

I find the poisoning story very strange. First off, you can't just buy potassium cyanide like that, and assuming his mother did get her hands on some, how did she put it in a cup of noodles without it showing it's been tampered with? The cyanide test could have been a false positive.

Also Nexpo missed this, but the post said the ramen's lid was slightly open, which is where the mother & sister inserted the poison through.

My dad once had an app on his tablet that he used to watch webcams. I didn't mind when he'd show me restaurants, public places, like beaches, and animals from zoos. It was the ones in people's houses that made me uncomfortable, especially when, months prior, he, himself, had been worried about his own security. It just felt so wrong.

For the mystery digital camera, I was very surprised to see how wholesome the theories were on the husband and the camera. My first thought would be that someone was in my house and stalking me. I would never think my husband who lived with me needed a camera to see things he saw everyday

The webcam thing happened to my friend once, while we were skyping. We were talking with both of our webcams off, and all of a sudden she says "hey my webcams not on is it?" I check and no, it's just her regular skype icon. "The green light is on next to it tho" (for some reason we're both whispering now) "try turning it off and on again" i said, (I wasn't very helpful) she says, "hold on, let me call you back in a sec, I need to make sure this is off" so we end the call, and then she calls me back, breathing pretty heavy and it's obvious she's freaked out. She had ended the call, and when the green light didn't turn off, she got suspicious. She looked right into the webcam and said something like "I know you can see me" and the light immediately turned off. She put her hand over it to cover it again, and when she took her hand off to look for a sticker to put over it, the green light turned on again. She slapped the sticker on it as fast as she could and the green light stayed on for a few more seconds, and then it was gone.

Instagram actually records you in the background, and use the data for ads. There's an experiment done by a guy where he purposefully talks about a microprojector to his relative, and then the next day, he saw an ad about a microprojector. He never googled or browsed anything about that thing.

Win + x > Device manager > cameras > disable device. Do that and you'll be disabling the driver itself for the camera, meaning it cannot possibly be hacked. The only way a hacker would be able to circumvent that is if they gained full access to your machine to re-enable it first and then connect to it, at which point you've royally fucked up somewhere else and likely have bigger problems.
For home security cameras, you don't want ones that could be electronically interfered with anyway. Most petty criminals aren't going to carry that kind of equipment around, but professional burglars do exist and there are gadgets out there that can remotely disable nearby electronics that they might have access to. An old wired non-internet-connected CCTV camera isn't going to be hacked. A skilled burglar can still cut your power and landline, meaning unless you have your cell phone you'll be unable to call for help and your cameras won't work, but most break-ins are not committed by professionals, and those that are committed by professionals are very rarely against houses where the occupants are well armed and own dogs, which in itself is a very strong amount of security and will suffice most of the time.
One of my cousins has never left home. He's 43 now. His mother never wanted him to leave either. She knew she was sic and was hiding it. Told my mother that she didn't want him to get a job and leave as she was going to need help. Well she passed last year. He has told me he feels abandoned and I can tell he going through mental issues. Can't believe she held him back so much.
