I picked up the Proceed With Caution Hair & Edge Gel and the Cheers Gel-ato during one of the Mane Choice's crazy sales they had recently. I normally don't use the Mane Choice's gels for wash n go's but I figured I would put these 2 to the test. Want to know how they performed on my type 4 kinky/curly hair???? Then check this video out!

Both sides look gooood but the proceed with caution is definitely bringing the heat

Thank you Tasha. I will say that wash n go's can seem a little tough at first but once you find the products that work for your hair and the right technique then it is super easy. For me it is faster than a chunky twist out lo.. Thanks so much for watching love!

I will do like this butter. It is one of the few items I actually liked from the hawaiian ginger line lol. One of my friends has also paired it with the Style Factor Gel and she really liked that combo. Thanks for watching beautiful!

Both sides looks great. I feel the Proceed with Caution side does look a smidge more defined and shiny. However you get more for your money with the Cheers product, which I have and love for wash and go's.

For me it last 3 to 4 days. I wish it would have lasted longer but it may have had to do with my workouts that week. I hope that helps Rochelle! Thanks so mush for watching!

Really??? I doesn't make your hair too hard? That is what I was afraid of lol. I like a little crunch but not crispy so I wasn't sure what would happen if I used the edge gel by mistake lol.

I’m just curious. Why are you wearing one glove? Cheers Gel-ato is my holy grail. I learned about it from Quinn too!!!! And now I have like 5. 😂
Hahaha Quinn the enabler lol. I had the glove on because one of my nails broke. And I did not want it to snag on my hair. But then I felt like I couldn't apply the products well with it on for some reason. So I risked it all and took it off halfway through lol.

Both sides look good but the proceed with caution has more definition and shine. How long did each side last?
Thank you Monica. I agree! I would say the Proceed with Caution side lasted longer at like 4 to 5 days, and the gelato was good for about 3 to 4 days. I also work out and sweat a lot so sometimes that affects how long my styles last.
I just bought this and mine looks like 2 orange sides just like yours!
Some of the even older videos of it on youtube are clearly yellow and clear. I think our stuff is old :/
Lol if it is old mine works well 😂. That make sense though because I didn’t hear others being confused about which is which. If you actually dip your finger and pull it out you can see the product from your fingers maybe clear instead of yellow. That’s how I was able to tell the difference lol.
Which gel would you recommend for a slick back look? I got the cheers gel during Black Friday kinda wishing I got the PWC
Hey love! For a more sleek look def go with the PWC gel. Especially since it also had the edge control as well. I hope that helps 😊
I brought gel from The Mane Choice...and it made my hair feel trashy. No slip at all. Worse 10.49 spent. However the Proceed with Caution side...your hair looks like it flows better.
