Just purchased a 44-64 myself recently -- I'm a 5-string guy (my main bass is a Lakland 55-60) but when I demoed this in the store it just grabbed hold of my attention and wouldn't let go. Great tone and build quality at an amazing price point. Lakland out there doing Fender basses better than Fender is doing them.
