Incredible, beautiful playing in every way! A surprise around every corner, like it should be, band named appropriately for the sweet flow of phrasing that is almost Mandolin Srinivas-like at times; Landau is a master of legato among other things like beautiful chords!

I've been loving Mike's guitar playing for decades now, but it seems I still cannot get over his attitude to singing: his own vocal endeavours - let's be honest - have been in no way whatsoever par to his awesome abilities as a guitar player, but alas... Although he leaves the singing to somebody here who is obviously better at it than himself, the vocals still are the weak spot of his music (at least in my opinion, that is). [Justice be done: there are other songs of the SEOUL gig here on UA-cam, where the singer actually sounds OK!] But - just imagine what the music of this band might be like with a REAL GREAT singer (male or female) and vocal lines about as inventive as the rest of the music...
It's very often a problem with musician-type music that the song part almost becomes a bit antithetical to the whole. After all song lines and singing have a tendency to focus things around itself whereas the jam is often more horisontal and directed towards the perception of the whole ... no hard and fast rule there, but there is a difference between a song being a fairly straight melody with some words and a piece of music being a framework for various forms of exploration. I don't know - there is some kind of balance between playing being about the singer and the song dominating or more about general musicianship being on display ...
Kids nowadays are witnessing what real musicians do! Cool cats!😎🤘🥁🎶

They should teach a Michael Landua class at Berklee.
This it right here class is in session
Only Landau would be certified to make that lesson.

Singer sounds fine. For the Jazzy blues tunes they play his voice gets their message across fine.
The singer is actually quite good.
