Well....that was brutal. And yes, next time I will be making an insulated and heated camera bag!
I hope you liked the video, sorry if it's a bit too long, but I wanted to tell the whole story....and I've even cut it in half already!
And thank you again for all your support. I don't have a production company behind me, and I love that I can create these videos for you, and maybe even inspire you to get out there and do something "stupid" yourself. Just maybe don't do something this stupid.

Nate at FoxFab here! (Yes I'm the real one, apologies I should have maintained consistency in commenting from the same account...) I don't think anyone will ever complain about an episode being too long!!! I vote next time we tie a heat exchanger into the coolant system so you can have a built in coffee maker, and maybe add 20ft hoses so you can run the heater to the inside of your tent lol!
Everybody feel free to reply to this comment telling Nate that's it's a good idea that he puts himself through further chaos with me haha.
And Nate: thank you again a millions times over for all your hard work!
@@c90adventuresI can’t believe you are still stuck in this average car at 588k subscribers, you really need to turn Willy into a stretched limo

@@zakattack450 The legend himself.
@zakattack450 you sir are a top fella, rather jealous you've got to work with the legend himself.
@@zakattack450wonderful to see you appear in the show 😂. You made me happy just because of you being human. Hugs from bohemian forest. The first dialogue between you and the maverick 😂 seemed hyper real and as if it’s a written script between two super cool cats on the same planet somewhere in the universe. ❤😂😂
What an epic guy
genuinely the nicest and least pretentious UA-camr while simultaneously being the only one where I can get through a 45 minute video still wanting more.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if this video would've been 1h 30min long. It's nice to watch and bring back memories from military and not so cozy winter nights in forest. Make me feel like going to adventure myself
You're watching the wrong YT channels then. There are far more out there you haven't found.
@@jsweizston5410always happy for suggestions 😊
You should watch vice grip garage then if you think this guy's good
Dude started the trip in a mini jeep and by the end he'll be in a full sized tank with the mini jeep as a hood ornament. Can't possibly express just how entertaining this series has been. Cheers
😅 Hood ornament.
Kids Toy To Killdozer Speedrun.
Well, maybe not a speedrun. Killdozer took... okay, we're going to stop talking about that, and hope that Ed meets a happier end. Thank you for the videos, Ed! I hope all is well!
Imagine being this guy's viewer, then running into him along the ride. Ed is so down to earth and nice and relatable, talks to anyone and has a 12 year old sense of humor. And then you happen to be a staff or a mechanic at an auto dealership, and he needs your help. That's a core memory for a lifetime right there. Being part of the kind of adventures he gets into.

We had a bloke in our little town show up with a van and a goat , driving around Aus in a van that ran on vegetable oil.
The whole town chipped in and helped out lol
I love this channel so much. Almost died a few times due to health reasons recently. This brings me joy. I can't ever do these things, but I enjoy being a part of it. Thanks so much

Biggest cliff hanger in youtube history for real
This so perfectly fills the massive void that the Grand Tour has left. No pressure or anything…
I’m astounded at how good of a fabricator Nate is and just how good of a dude Beaker is!
Beaker is a full on movie character and I mean that in the coolest and nicest way possible. What a great addition to the C90adventures lore!
@@DispatchMoto Thank you!😊
Last grand tour episode followed by this will make for a great night
it sure will
I was thinking the same thing
Yeah
My thoughts exactly, just finished this, now going to shed a tear while watching the grand tour. Then I'll go watch Harry travel around the UK in a speed boat.
Excellent
Beaker is probably the most likeable guy I've ever seen in a video. i want a beer with him so bad.
Hey thank you that really means a lot.
Bro you made the episode man, you give me a lil faith thats theres still some cool ass dudes out there just down to help a man on his journey @zakattack450
agreed - seems like such a genuine dude. the stoke was real
The only thing I would have suggested that would have made things probably a little bit better is to have a tarp to lay over the Jeep to keep the snow off of it when you're in your tent
Had this exact same thought
Tarps are incredibly useful for a lot of things, too.
ha, no silly that would be smart.
Now now ! That takes the adventure out of it . Its a great idea .
thàt !! And also, I wonder if he finally brought a shovel.🤔
I would love to have a friend like Nate. Absolute legend
“…but I carried on up the mountain…” inspiring perseverance, Ed, truly
your narration and storytelling is what makes these. the one liners and hilarious british dry delivery kills me lmao. love these mini jeep series
Willy just keeps growing
How big can it get?!?! The world needs to know!
he's a grower not a show-er!
Only happens when Ed drops a new video.😂
Willy always grows and shows 😂
It's not Willy anymore, it's an ATV with a Jeep shell slapped on it. He might as well have just completely abandoned Willy and ridden the ATV as it was. 🤷♂
props to beaker! what a legend!
Thanks man I appreciate it!
@@zakattack450 THANK YOU for helping him so we can all enjoy this.
Fan-bloody-tastic as always Ed! I am always so excited to watch! Please dont apologise for the length of time in between videos or the length of them as whenever they come out and however long they are, they freaking rock!
I love listening to your commentary about the issues you run into on your trip. I hope you have many more adventures.
This is amazing. Ed years ago: you don't need anything fancy to overland! Ed now: this has never been done before. Always love going along on your adventures!
How you manage to maintain positivity when the conditions are so hard is beyond me. Still finding energy to dance to music while struggling with a tent in the snow is a unique talent
@c90adventures - man, you are changing lives. Because of you, I rode my motorcycle alone from California to southern Argentina. And because of you, Im likely going to do another solo moto trip across Europe -> Middle East -> Asia.
I found your videos a few years ago and you truly reached me with that "just fucking go do it. That's what she said" particularly the thats what she said part.
Thank you for changing lives man. We all owe you.
Totalmente lo que me esta pasando a mi. Este tio me a cambiado la forma de ver las cosas en el mundo.
This is such an underrated channel, the engineering involved in making the jeep a tank is unbelievable...let alone the actual journey, just amazing mate! Hats off to you!
Ed, you're absolutely bonkers, hilarious, relentless and utterly insane! But, I COMPLETELY love your ridiculous antics and wild commentary. Am trying to imagine being a fly on the wall in your brain, but that thought scares me so I'll stop ... hurry up, and finish editing your next video, this cliff hanger is annoying ... haha! All the very best, you're fantastic entertainment!
PS: Kudos to both Nate and Beaker - you guys are legends!!!
Bit of an odd one, but I must admit since I've been watching you since Alaska to Argentina, the one thing I've noticed that I absolutely love about you and your channel is your relationship WITH your vehicle. I know you said in this video that you travel alone, but it never feels like it because your vehicle is always a character to both the viewer and to you, keep making what is without a doubt my favorite content on UA-cam!
As I near the end of this video I realize just how scary this situation is. This is legit survival at this point all for the love of making videos. We appreciate your persistence but damn Ed, please be careful!
I frequent those very mountains he is in, I snowmobile in way more powerful machines and get stuck more than I'd like to. He is absolutely nuts to be up there alone in an experimental vehicle. But Ed is Ed and he will figure out how to get out of almost any mess because of his determination.
Some things to invest in for the next episode if you read this Ed:
- A tarp to cover Willy when it snows
- A folding shovel to dig Willy out of the snow
- A spoon for eating (duh lol)
- Some kind of plow conversion
- Disposable hand warmers
If anyone wants to add to the list, leave a comment
plough
totally this
A snow thrower would probably work better than a plough but more moving parts to break. Another thing to take from that snow thrower could be the canopy.
Yeah.... No on the plow. The last thing the Willy's would enjoy is more plowing.
- It needs a solid shafted flaming penis to penetrate the snow and move it to the sides.
- Rocket stove.
- Heated gloves.
- A proper winter tent.
- Some way to capture all that exhaust heat to keep you warm.
- Maybe go with mini tracks on the rear and skis on the front. Check out Grind Hard Plumbing Co.'s tracked Power Wheels builds for reference.
- A colab with Grind Hard Plumbing Co. is now required. If anyone could help you prepare the Willy's for success it's Ethan. 100%!
Some cold weather advise; when doing extreme weather treks that can ultimately become life threatening you need hot meals.
A hot meal when freezing like that can literally save your life. You can rig something up to cook meals on your exhaust while you're driving and have a hot meal ready to go as soon as you stop to camp.
Keeping your morale up in those conditions is imperative to success. A fire that's big enough to thaw you out and dry your frozen clothes is a requirement. On state land that doesn't allow fires? Just turn the camera off. Besides, I don't think there's much risk of a forest fire in a winter storm.
+ Inflatable partner for 'companionship'.
Beaker and Nate are legends.
Bless Soichiro's obsession with reliability, and helpful people around the world. Glad to see you lived!
Being a journeyman (manual) machinist, I pray for the day that a famous UA-camr shows up at my bay door asking for my skills/advice lol. Nate hit the social media jackpot with this guy. Fantastic advertisement. And he does good work!
being a engineer on a ship I fully understand how this life is more appealing then working on a ship. So Ed keep going. I will watch and like what ever you post.
Most dedicated UA-camr/Adventurer I’ve ever seen! We love you Ed!
Absolute legend, you are best of British, I was pissing myself at the fire in the tent with balaclava on, only because the direness of your situation brings the best in people, you have tre sas mindset. Legend. And kudos to that Honda front diff, I don't know how it didn't explode with that constant load. Love your vids keep up good work
Still the best adventure series. Its got everything, a good story arc, comedy moments, tension, feel good moments, and best of all, a finely curated collection of knob gags.
Ed, thank you so much for making these videos. I had a stroke on February 1st of 2024 and lost my whole right side and speech. With rehab I've learned to walk, talk, and use my right hand again with some success. The whole thing has been depressing but I'm glad that I kept my sense of humor and can laugh at your videos. I keep trucking on and will wait for the next one. Oh and by the way .. PENIS . 😂
The world would be a better place with more people like Nate and Beaker in it!!!
I’ve been having a rough month and this video honestly cheered me up and it’s just because you’re being a genuine person showing good bad silliness just feels real. Thank you for that.
Well Ed I'm glad you finally got yourself a little stove! You should have said something and I would have gave you one of my little camping cutlery sets. And what the hell were you thinking filming yourself with my old camo baklava. That's why I gave it to you, because it was so damn ugly. I laughed so hard I almost fell off the couch when you broke that thing out. The video is absolutely brilliant man! I can't believe you're keeping us hanging at the cabin. I was truly worried when you drove off up that Canyon from my truck. My wife and I were worried about you up there for days. That's some seriously unforgiving country in the winter. Well, keep up the good work, stay alive and out of the news. Hope to see you again soon and as always, can't wait to see your next episode. Absolute 🔥. ✌😎👍

Wow Ed, I can't believe how harsh those conditions were and the fact that you kept going and got to the hut is incredibly impressive. And you filmed it all. What?! Amazing.
I was thinking, I hope Ed brought snowshoes with him and that he doesnt kill himself. But he has stayed in colder conditions and the fact that this went down in the 23/24 winter and that he is still uploading is pretty solid proof that he is still alive. ;)
With the ending of the grand tour an era finished Ed you are the new beginning and I’m so happy to watch your journey grow more and more truly incredible

Man, life really is all about the people you meet along the way. What a fantastic bunch of guys! Just genuine kindness and good, honest, down-to-earth attitudes.
And this video was amazing. Always so impressed with the amount of work you put in. Best channel there is.
After watching you for a couple of years I made the call and took two months off work to ride my motorcycle carrying a tent from southern Ontario to far east Newfoundland to piss off the east edge and now I’m headed to British Columbia in my truck to piss off the far west edge. I’m having an absolute blast and want to thank you for the encouragement to get out there and do something
Beakers awesome.
Maybe it would have been a good idea to make a canvas cover with a lightweight frame to help protect you and your supplies from the elements.
Awesome and funny. I grew up in Alaska and spent many an hour on crappy snow machines freezing to death and wondering why I was doing that. One time, decided to take a ride at -25F, machine broke down and I walked home some distance. Another time, my very crappy 1968 Polaris, 1 cylinder, with no hood, blew its sparkplug out and it went into a snow drift. Never did find it and walked home. I feel your pain. Keep the great content coming our way!
The fabrication shop is incredible - what he can achieve is so cool.
I felt cold watching the 2nd half. Think you should consider some sort of a tarp to keep the snow off your Willy overnight.
These videos always take priority over any other channel I follow. You're on another level, man. This is seriously the most batshit crazy / entertaining / well-edited / best storytelling series ever!
Such a wholesome adventure. Meeting fans on the road, and helping you out for the next leg!

- Nate idea
- engine upgrade need a tiny power
- snow plow (depending on the size
- design some kind of cover for the top to stop snow from covering most important component etc
16:12 THAT IS THE COOLEST MAILBOX I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. I bought an old boat for next to nothing and the entire hole was rotted out and had three cracks in the block. Hell yes!! It feels like YEARS between episodes but its SO worth the wait! Thanks for all your time and effort that you put into this series, it is absolutley epic!
I would recommend lowering your tracks as you mentioned in the video but measure the frontal profile of the driveshaft and frame to reduce surface area that will catch snow.
I would also recommend a temperature sharing system for your brake fluid, transmission fluid (if you can), and engine oil. Both hydralic and lubricating fluids become thicker at lower temperatures, so heat transfer will help keep the fluids at operational temperatures, and will likely reduce wear.
Comment for algorithm placation.
