Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of white, yellow, and dark stains on the armpit area of my clothes and this really did work for me. I just recently switched to No Aluminum and No Paraben deodorant to prevent these from happening again and so far I do not have these issues.

Instead of your fingernail to scratch off the yucky, sludgy deoderant, use one side of a little 3/4'" square plastic tab ( usually has the "Best by" date on it ) that closes breads and buns. It works well and is much easier on your clothing than a knife!

That doesn't work once the fabric is chemically bonded with the aluminium salts, and it wrecks clothing.

Tried this in 5 darks and it worked like a charm. Some of my blouses had a lot more buildup, so I let solution sit up to 30 mins. When u came back, were a bit and scrubbed the armpits by hand. Washed in washer and 95% of buildup was gone! I just went out to buy more vinegar and baking soda for future washes.

This is so cool. I used this method on one one my favorite dresses. I also found a fabulous tool to help remove the stains rather than fingernails. I used a clean, unused toothbrush and it worked fine. Also, if you have a hairbrush that's not too stiff or soft, it might also work just fine. I like the toothbrush method.

This is an amazing hack that worked for me, and a really short and to the point video with clear instructions. I use a natural deodorant (no aluminium and no parabens) with a coconut oil base and this is what leaves this waxy residue. Healthy armpits but not so great for clothes. I have two occasions dry clean only dresses and the cleaner couldn't get rid of the residue. So tried this and it worked. I just rinsed the treated sections of my dresses under lukewarm running water, dried gently by rolling in a towel and hung in my airing cupboard till dry. No damage to the dresses and residue all gone! so much cheaper that a dry cleaning bill! and the vinegar does not leave a smell on the clothes because the bicarb deodorises it. Thank you for sharing.

I know you might not even check these comments anymore, but thank you so much! It worked great! I didn't have the deodorant come off with my fingernails for every shirt, however after washing the stains were pretty much gone anyways. Thank you!

100% saved the day for a dress of mine. Literally had the deodorant build up there for 10+ years...I know: gross. It totally came out. I followed this with a biodegradable detergent in hot water and it looked brand new. It was red rayon btw. Thank you, thank you!

A good thing to use instead of your fingernail to scrape off the deodorant residue is a piece of hard plastic. A good example is the small plastic tabs used to keep bags of bread closed.

Not sure if you'll ever see this but I did everything you said and it did not work! Not a single stain was removed, and they aren't even that bad. I do use my own homemade deodorant which does have Coconut Oil and Beeswax in it so maybe that is what the issue is?

@Kleiñ Schpartz Now have you tried it or just found a different variation on the topic? I have a major run of black tank tops that I wear daily under all other clothing so hence I’ve got tons to try this on!! I am curious how u do the dish soap part. Straight from bottle or diluted wit water? I’d suspect it’s a bug mess because wouldn’t you need to rinse the dish soap out prior t washing machine? Sounds like u could end up having a bubble party if u did this to several pieces of clothing and the dish’s soap!!! I’d love love love to get a reply from you on this! Excited to try it amd I’d like to try your reciept first because I don’t have a ton of time to waist on trying a bunch of things to get this to work.
I need a sure shot to fix so I can hurry about it!! Lol yea I am impatient!!!! Lol k thank you!!!!

They’re the only 2 T-shirt’s I have that almost have a bleach ish stains near the under arms area. The only thing I can think would be my dove non irritant antiperspirant deodorant. But I have know idea. Pissed me off though I love these t shirts. Please leave feedback thanks you tubers. Also do think this cleaning method would remove the stains? I’m afraid it will worsen them?
