one thing I will say about zombers is that bombing bases and whatnot still contributes to the match. One other reason why I enjoy airsim is that the lack of unit markers does a lot to de congest the airspace. I often feel like airRB, even in props, gets very crowded. With the reduced visibility in Airsim engagements are a lot more isolated and a lot more fun.
I started playing sim recently. I found it fun although much slower than even air RB. To compensate there is more to do other than kill other players in a match. Dogfights are VERY cool in sim. Note: I'm playing at low/mid BR props, not top tier jets.
Air Sim has great gameplay if you are ok with the sim cockpit only view and the control scheme. Those later two really alienate me from the mode. I wish they would bring in the more EC style of Sim to Air RB.
I have to completely agree with all presented... its my point of view... i play the whole range and sim is imo the best mode... u can chill in it and enjoy the flying aspect or switch to highly competitive mode and enjoy the thrill of the hunt... and personally have only mouse and keyboard setup but over10 year its highly refined to the point where I use macros for precise bombing for effective ammo control :}
Interesting video format. I don't dislike it actually. I think it's great that you're reaching out to folks who had opposing opinions. Sim is my main mode and yeah, there's a ton of stuff Gaijin could and should do to make the mode better. Not the least of which are just fixing glaringly obvious bugs that have been reported and acknowledged for years now. Despite that fact it's still hella fun! Warthunder sim is the goldilocks zone of air simulations in my opinion. I don't have to sit on a runway for 10 minutes going through a startup checklist just to get off the ground or any of the other really monotonous (but immersive I guess?) stuff involved in more hardcore sims. I can control a lot of the performant aspects of the plane by manipulating control surfaces, prop pitch, MEC, etc, but I don't have to learn how to fly that specific plane. The generic UI and control interface is the magic pixie dust that makes Warthunder actually work. Without it, there just wouldn't be anywhere close to as many vehicles, and the barrier to entry would be much much higher. Personally, I think Gaijin needs to just let the PVE people have a fun PVE mode that can actually contribute to progression. I don't understand their insistence that PVP be the one true mode and anything else is secondary. There are so fucking many people in this game that want PVE. Gaijin could make money hand over fist if they just embraced it.
I play sim but just with a joystick, no VR no HOTAS - it's actually a much more relaxing experience than realistic is (I have a few hundred hours of AirRB also). IMO Sim does have a BR issue, whereby there's almost no incentive to play vehicles that are 8.7 for example since there's a set br bracket of 8.7-9.3 Also the JAVELIN (you heard that right) is 8.7 in sim
@BoleDaPole It's very rewarding and takes only a couple of minutes. I keep my keyboard right beside me and anything interface related is done on my keyboard, such as checking map, scoreboard, changing FOV. Nothing gameplay related. You will not regret it!
If warthunder lacked replay ability, i wouldnt have been playing it for 10 years. Some people wont like it, and thats not a problem. cant please everyone
i play WT as an arcade occasional rb scumbag at mid to low teir and have no interest in rb or sim for the most part over br 3-5 depending. i thrive in the chaos of low tier ab.... FILTHY CASUAL
Even in sim people hate on bombers? Ffs why are bombers even in the game then? Do you breathe and dream PvP all day all night 24/7? If bomber and strike pilots don't have a place even in the game mode designed to resemble a real conflict, what do you want them to do? In real life, fighters don't win wars. Fighters serve as support to clear the way and escort those who win wars, which are the planes designed to disintegrate the enemy war machine which, guess what, is actually on the ground. Stop bashing on everything and everyone that isn't there with the sole purpose of killing people when the game is actually won by completing objectives. If you really hate bombers and strike that much, then ask GaYjin to make a separate mode for them where they can do their job without anyone complaining that they aren't sweating enough.
Im not gonna lie. Your cool i like your channel, its rb so not for me. But its a good channel. However, you did make a video about a game mode and community, which is now apperant, you know nothing about. And your original conclusion to kill sim was pretty idiotic considering how little you knew/know about sim. Like i said, not trying to offend you, just a dedicated sim players sharing honest thoughts on your original take. We can all agree for sure though that sim need improvement. That's no debate. [I highly recommend you watch some of TrainingDays videos, hes a wt sim youtuber. And as the name implies, his channel is dedicated on improving in wt, mainly sim, but he throws in rb every once in a while] o7

Sim is the only way you play props with sticks without getting wrecked by mouse point-and-shoot.
I like the video its just would have been better if it were a real conversation between the two of u

I play sim on console with controller. I don't know how anyone could play it any other way.
Only thing stopping me is just being lazy and doing the key bindings lol
@@BoleDaPole you gotta get over that barrier, sim is amazing and actually takes skill
