Thanks for addressing this topic, Harsh, it should help a lot of students. Being a creator in the MBA space, would just suggest a point - NIRF rankings aren't a good metric to check which B-school is good, simply because of the reason you mentioned - it's based on too many factors that can be manipulated. The best way is what you recommended later in the video - talking to students over LinkedIn - especially talking to alums to be sure of the institute. Thanks for picking this topic up! It will guide a lot of students the right way 🙌

Before giving my XAT 2023 Exam I had a call from a career counselor he asked me about my preparations and I told him that I am consistently scoring 95%ile plus in my Mocks but instead of boosting my confidence he tried hard to convince me that I will not be able to crack XAT and even if I manage to do it somehow I will definitely fail in my interview so I should look for a private college instead. That guy declared me incapable of clearing XAT Exam even before giving it or knowing my past academics I was lucky that I had believed in myself and not listened to him but the thought that he calls hundreds of students every day and does the same with everyone scares me as not everyone has excellent self-confidence and he may ruin someones future.

I have given MBA entrance in 2022 i have learned one big lesson that from preparation to interview the student should have strong financial support (freshers) because starting from form fill-up to admission(booking) money all have to given by student firstly. it is costly around Rs1000 to Rs4000
I think most of the students are able to manage atleast 4k it will not be a big issue I guess 🙂 may be it will for someone I don't know but if it is 4k than it is all right for me itna to scholarship aajayega mera 3rd year ka😉
@@adarshtiwari1844 if you are filling form for 4 colleges at the end moment then each collage in an average cost 3000 (non refundable) then total cost will be 4*3000=12000 this is just one situation you have to first fill up the forms of at least two to three exams average price will be 2000 there also approximately 10,000 costing will be there so after all these the cost of attempting MBA entrance as well as going to MBA college for financially disadvantaged student it is a tough situation

Exactly happened with me in last year jee mains 2nd attempt. I got around 67%lie and some random woman called and suggested me a private university,I said I'm going to take year drop,then she asked where are you going to study from,I said online then she started humiliating me saying take drop for the rest of ur life still u wont crack.This year in jan I got 98.7%ile.
Just believe in yourselves guys these people are just miserable and useless.(I studied from pw. Prayas 3.0)

even an mba from tier 2 -tier 2.5 colleges is not a bad decision overall. for someone from core engineering field willing to switch even top 100 colleges can help him provide required opportunities and a decent starting point.
What about us normal Bachlores from Science stream? Tho I'm currently pursuing a medical billing course to gain experience before doing MBA, just wanted to know if its worth it for bachelors like me. i dont know much about MBA but for engineering pov (JEE) NIRF isnt a source to rely on so you cant really trust their ranking
its better to check cutoff rank of the college the less the cutoff the better the college
Finally a sensible video which don't picture MBA as a scam rather exposes the scams involved in it. MBA is a once in a lifetime opportunity and probably a last degree. Hence, pursuing it from a top institutes is worth it. The real scam is to pursue an MBA from a hululu university.
One thing in this video is incorrect- The NIRF ranking. Its heavily biased and can be bought just like ranks in any entrance exam.

Sir I really need honest guidance, I passed my grad in August 2022. I planned to study during last yr of Engineering college as that time was lockdown and started 10% of study, but when government suddenly declared no lockdown, my offline clg started which made me completely busy in exams, pracs, viva and presentations. But after exam I planned to give CAT with other exams with chronology exams in 2023 itself and I will take drop to study and do side by side certification courses and small internships. But my cet was declared in March itself as 2022 was in August end due to which ghai ghai study ki and half padai hui thi. Luckily my paper was good and due to their blunder the paper got cancelled and now they kept exam on comming 6th May. Sir I've really planned to start studying according to CAT exam ache se to work more on my basic skills. But now my parents expect me get clean in 1st attempt only..and even if I didn't got they will force me to join any random clg..sir I'm scale that my future will get ruined. And also I'm depressed simce February that all my plans are ruined and unecessory obstacles are coming one by one. Ik you will say that parents bhalai ka sochte hai yes but as pe my experience mere nusan hi hua hai. Since school I never got chance to complain any curricular activities as uke hisab se tution is more important and these activities are okok. Now they are like kash to kuch ek activity sik pati. My dream is to open animation company like japanese do and mai abhi se hi taiyari lagi padi hu...but they think as side activity and bol rahe hai to take finance and do job in band headquarters. Sir I'm ssly depressed and helpless pls guide me 🙏
I gave CAT in Nov 2020 just to get the idea of MBA entrances. With no preparation I got 40 percentile and people started calling me giving me opportunities to join their college with this low score.
I was getting way too many calls
Haha same happened with me. Last year when I got 60 percentile I got so many calls, this year I got 88 I am being disturbed less😅🤣

@@hemantyadav3514 If your basics are clear you can easily start from 6th semester. But if you find any of the subjects difficult you should start from 5th as it takes some time to get into the flow of preparation.

Harsh bruh..I was going to pursue MBA from an avg management college as my friends were doing so..I booked my seat in 2020 but during lockdown I realised that I need to have a secured job coz of my family conditions during that period so I quit MBA and started preparing for govt job exams..though I'm still yet to get a govt job I don't regret my decision of quitting MBA midway that's not worth it for me😌

I know most of my friends who got placed in Byjus in the name of placement. And after three months when they are not able to survive in the toxic byjus working environment. They had to leave by themselves. Leaving them with no options left.

My take on this: After grad degree, gain work experience of 3-5 years before going for an executive MBA, not only will you gain valuable real world experience but the MBA will help add real value and you’ll get much higher return on investment.
This is actually the most useless advice. In india most mba colleges have freshers. If you have 4 to 5 years workex you will have a super less number of colleges to apply to.
@@777southpaw that's exactly why the system needs to change like in western countries. MBA candidates without real world experience provide little value in class discussions and business cases, which is the crux of MBA programs where it is less curriculum and more value driven.

Ps i am speaking with exp because I had 4 years workex and cracked cat but the opportunities I had were way lesser because of my extra workex. Typical batch looks like 50 percent freshers rest 50 percent less than 2 year workex.

I will say if you want to do MBA i will say do it from top B universities otherwise don't do it because even without MBA with normal grad degree you can get 25k job which you will get after local MBA college degree. Even if you get skilled earning 30k will be lot more easier than mba
The toughest exams in india is jee and neet because in teenage most of 99% bache distracted, insecure,lack of guidance,etc or bhot sari chijo ki wajah se competition clear nahi kar pate😢
JEE is tough but NEET toh definitely not. The competition maybe high there but question are in easy to moderate level

Hi harsh i am watching you from lakhsyay vlogs and i kindly respect all the things you said in this video but i wanna correct that in india the nirf ranking can even bought . Like i am currently joining college for btech and i recently saw nirf ranking list where colleges like VIT and SRm the 3rd tier colleges come on the ranking of 24 and 36 like above then many best institutions of India.

See being a student from IIM BANGALORE here ,i can say that your skills are the the key for a better career growth ,yes i do accept and agree that tags like IIMS/XL/FMS boosts one career but at the same time cracking CAT/XAT is not everyone’s cup of tea . I myself took 2 tries to manage a seat in IIMB (99.97,100)are my percentiles respectively . So coming back again, one should not bog down and should invest a lot on other professionals skills for eg -CFA ,which i am currently doing ( L2 stage). Such add ones will defiantly help to grow in future.
