Very simple but effective training. It doesn't look like this is very important to someone that doesn't know. Around 50 years ago in my Jui Jitsu training, when I was learning the Jo and Bo, we had a visit from a Master from Japan gave me some quick pointers and training advice. Very similar to what you teach. Learn the simple control and manipulation techniques. Then practice, practice, practice before you start trying your Kata. Remember, practice whether it is the simple wrist roll, over the head smash or whatever. I was always told to do a task 1000 times, now that counts as 1 time. The more practice on the basics, the simpler the complex things become. Thanks for all the coverage and detail you give. God bless y'all and stay safe out there teaching.
