I normally feel sad when I hear/see a person crying but I find myself laughing at Chantal's tears. Her tears feel contrived and just for show.

This girl is grabbing at straws. A lot of her lies of late are being called out. The fashion show, paying for the dinner date, the children walking in the desert, the wife coming to Canada. She uses her being high as her excuse for every time she is called out and it's getting more and more frequent. People are tired of it. We had the tears on this video and she possibly used a DD line when she said she was wishing she could be with her gram. Sorta when DD was calling for her dad when Nader was abusing her. Chantal will always do what she has to do to win back favor and if it means using someone's actions or words or whatever, she will do it for her income. She's always high so we have a lot more lies in the works to call her on.

So I'm from the middle east (Egyptian) and arranged marriage is EXTREMELY rare these days. Like I've lived all my life here and I haven't met or known anyone in an arranged marriage (the same applies to Turkey 100%) they still happen but only in rural and poor areas, it's NOT the norm. Couple observations and opinions: I think she was actually genuinely hurt that you didn’t make a video kissing her ass about the fashion show. I think in her eyes, she really meant her hatred for you was “just business” and was hoping you’d be a friend to her. She’s so lonely and sad that when you kept the same energy as always, she felt like she was betrayed by someone who “supported” her. Also, I think the reason she keeps finding things to rage about is because she’s missing the constant ups and downs from fights with cokey and needs another outlet for her angry energy.

I was having a talk with my 10 yr old the other day about the stories she tells herself to make me/her mother the bad guy when I am actually being a good mother. Situation that started the conversation was me asking that she pick up her dirty clothes off her floor and bring them to the laundry room. On Mondays I was our clothes. I have been doing this for a few decades that Monday is dedicated to washing clothes ever since I finally had my own washer and dryer as an adult I have washed clothes on Monday. She is my 3rd child and the only one left at home with me. Of course in jer little 10 ur old mind she tells herself I'm mean because I ask her to bring her own dirty clothes to the laundry room sonI can wash them because eshe doesn't want to do it I'm the bad guy. I told her she needs to think about it from the perspective that she can count on me always making sure every week on a Monday that she has clean clothes to wear the rest of the week. She should be happy she has a mom that cares enough about her to make sure she has clean clothes. There are moms out there that are not reliable and do not make sure their kids have enough clean clothes for the week.
I say all this because I think Chantel tells herself stories to make herself the victim and everyone else the bad guy like an ungrateful child.
Sounds like it's time for her to learn consequences and not wash her clothes. Better yet, save yourself the argument and lecture and teach her to do her own laundry.
