Have to listen to headshinker!! This is brilliant , their debut single!! And live the crowd goes wild brilliant love this band !! In fairness their first single! Opening lyrics you need to be yourself you can't be no one else!! Live by that
The last song you reacted to was off of (What's the Story) Morning Glory? the following year which is when Noel really entered his "golden era" of songwriting. He was pumping out so many classic tunes that many of them ended up as b-sides and is why their compilation The Masterplan is as highly regarded as any other great studio album. As a personal favourite of mine I've gotta recommend All Around The World simply because of how incredibly over the top and extravagant it is. Full 36-piece orchestra, 9 minutes long (longest song to reach #1 in the UK) plus a 2 minute instrumental reprise a few tracks later.
This album came out in 1994 when I was about 15, just getting into music, going to pubs, smoking weed, & at the time I was 'mad for it'. I was experimenting with all sorts of music, from the Prodigy, through Metallica, Soundgarden, Pantera but Brit Pop was just part of the zeitgeist at the time in the UK, so we loved Oasis, Blur etc... As time went by I settled much more on heavier rock & metal but this still takes me back to those formative years. I still like Oasis's first album, which was a bit more raw & lo-fi than their later, more polished offerings, when the normies really got into them & I checked out. It may sound snobby but when their first album came out it felt to us like we were discovering them & were the cool kids (we weren't) & when they became popular, that appeal wore off. Musically, I realised they were pretty limited & now I only listen to them once in a blue moon, but I do still enjoy this first album & songs like Supersonic + Cigarettes & Alcohol. Happy days!
you do oasis you gotta do live, anything pre 2000 live, they where amazing live pre 2000, i shit you not liams voice before it broke was one of the best rock n roll voices of all time, no more album versions form now please , live only around 1995 -1997 was their peak
lol they’re still playin live it’s un-plugged live. I think it’s a deliberate rock n roll finger to video singles as a guess - I could be wide off the mark
Good reaction. To see why Oasis became huge in the nineties you should maybe react to a live performance. They were loud - but Liam's voice was equal to the task. I suggest 'Slide Away' (Knebworth, 2nd night) or 'Some Might Say' (GMEX). Both are on youtube.
Great review and reaction 🙌🏽 Will just leave this here, Oasis - Bring it on down live 1994 ua-cam.com/video/QUvkZn3VbBw/v-deo.htmlsi=AoFpPuCa1fSOg9E- Epic drums, epic guitars and a 22 year old Liam Gallagher epic on vocals Some say that they had no stage presence. Why should they move around when it’s just a wall of noise and energy emitting from the stage 🔥🔥
I first heard this song when It came out in 1994 and immediately bought the album. For some reason, I still consider this an underrated album by them; it doesn't seem to get a lot of recognition.
Not so sure about that... over 15 million albums and the fastest selling album in UK history I still think it's the best album but it's all down to personal taste.
@@madbiker1000 it wasn't popular in the United States upon initial release. (What's the Story) Morning Glory? broke them big here, and its single Wonderwall caused Definitely Maybe to sell more. It only peaked at #58 on the Billboard 200 during its initial release and the songs off it aren't played on the radio much here.
@wassupinlasvegas9735 Yes not as popular as other countries but it went platinum. I think the lack of success was more to do with poor appreciation of the style and the agenda within the broadcasting industry in the US the music that gets played the most is the most lucrative for the radio stations. I'm surprised they did so well in America actually, it was more of a European vibe.
@ yeppers that’s what I thought - he has a kinda British punk don’t care attitude swagger. Though I’ve no idea how British punk sounds that’s the vibe I get.
If you're interested in a different version of Supersonic performed by Oasis, this one is live from 1994 on MTV. I'd say its better than this version in my opinion, ua-cam.com/video/pbIRQR6FkhU/v-deo.html&pp=ygUVc3VwZXJzb25pYyBvYXNpcyBsaXZl
"Live forever" is my favourite one.
“This song feels good, sounds good” yup that’s all ya need

This is the concert I'm looking forward to the most out of all the shows I have tix to so far this year.
Really good song i would listen to this again
Nailed this review. Tasteful track, a top tune for Oasis.

lol, he'd written all his best songs before they'd released a record
This was their Debut single
If you want a rocker from them try Headshrinker.

Oasis is the rock n Rlk band ever!

It’s from 94
Wonder how many shows they will do for the reunion before it all falls apart again
It's all part of the plan !
No refunds! 😅
It's their first single from 1994.
React to rock and roll star, fade away and headshrinker.
Want the heavy stuff? Gas Panic - Rock in Rio. Do it.
Live on Jolls Holland has better audio, mind you.
You need to do reaction when they're live
A great high energy Oasis song is Cigarettes & Alcohol.
Loving your reactions & reviews David.
Will you be doing more Ghost anytime soon?
@@SeanSaez March I believe
Cigarettes and alcohol is the dog's bollocks !
Oasis first 2 albums can compete with anyone's in the Rock pantheon.
It's from 1994 on theoir first and best album.

I've always loved this track, it's basic and the lyrics are daft, but it feels great
Great review and reaction 🙌🏽

Champagne supernova
Incredible band when they came along... this song is nothing... yet everything.
Please react to the German marching band Meute

This song does everything correctly but it's very standard. They don't stray far from that i - iii - iv progression.
For their debut single, it did everything it needed to do to start the whole thing off
These are the wonder wall guys awesome- I thought they were a British punk band at first
From the first time I listen to oasis I thought Liam was adopting a punk vocal style.

Just put the sex pistols into the search on UA-cam. 👍
Try with Acquiesce or Gas Panic. 🙂↔️😎🤘🏽

First single from their first album if I recall correctly with shit memory.
Highly recommend checking out their live stuff . Live forever (Live at Maine road) is a great place to start....BIBLICAL 🙌 🔥
1993 actually
Very good album not something I listen too anymore but used too great album
Hi mate, great reaction. Could you please react to Oasis- I am the Walrus (live at Knebworth) ✌️🏴
Their best version IATW is the one on The Masterplan, that was on the B-Side to Cigarettes and Alcohol
Oasis is the rock n rola band ever!
