"Mistakes" is too big of a word, but yeah he learns. Opal is just there to remind him to always be himself even when he strays and I think that is what make Opal refreshing (in a relationship pov). That relationship tho, is just a small part of what defines Bolin and it's not even that relevant in his character, except for him in season 3.

Fun fact: Originally Asami was going to be one of the bad guys (and Equalist spy) but as they developed her character they thought she would work much better as a member for team Avatar hahah and thank GOD they kept her on the good side! (At a comic con panel in 2013)
This has likely been shared in the comments before, but Asami's voice actor Seychelle Gabriel
played Princess Yue in the Last Airbender movie. Even the worst things have little bits of good in them.
They were going to leave her as an antagonist despite the chemistry when they were making this season as a stand alone. During production of this season they decided to change their mind considering that new team avatar lacked a techy character who knows how to get things done. Ofcourse the chemistry was a factor but as i said at first it wasnt relevant.
And if Season 1 wasn't written as a standalone season, I think giving Asami an overarching redemption arc would be great. It may be a bit like Zuko though but still interesting to think of
I'm glad they changed it, her being a bad guy would have been such an obvious twist

What’s crazy is when zuko and the girls hit the beach they swim suits were more revealing 70 years ago than in this pool in Korra it’s usually reversed in most media

Hiroshi Sato really is the Henry Ford of Avatar universe. Ford was a HUGE Hitler Supporter, and was even one of hitlers intended picks to "run" the U.S. for him. He won a medal from the Nazi party and everything. he was friends with Charles Lindberg, who was in similar alliances and opinions. He published and owned an infamously antisemetic, racist newspaper, and published and distributed Huge numbers of the infamous antisemetic propaganda booklet: :The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion"., amongst doing many other things.
So Hiroshi is Like a Much LESS evil version of ford. which makes Cabbage Corp General Motors, who were also in bed with germany at the time, although not nearly as deeply, nor quite as devoutely.

The whole love triange largely happened due to Pema's advice to Korra which was basically to pursue someone even if you are aware they are in a relationship.
@@isiahblaise5245 That was a similar issue to the one in this ep. where Mako thought Korra was hanging with Bolin to make him jealous and he was wrong in that scenario too.

Maybe not guns. And they do shy away from the archery and sharp projectiles ever since ATLA. Probably because if those kinds of attacks hit, it'd never get past the age rating. The equalists agenda is technically to remove bending and not to outright kill. Makes their case more supportable.

A normal Avatar would have traveled the world and learned from all nations. Their job is to be part of the world.
But because of events you'll learn about later, Korra was raised on armed compounds where she only knew teachers and guards. She is the least worldly Avatar ever for all that she is extremely skilled at bending.

Even with other shows like they would thirst over the males like silva and illumi and hate over the mom when she's the least bad one of them ,she even let killua go at the end and asked the guards to let him free with alluka, they saw that but acted like she didn't do anything but when Silva did it in the first episodes they were like, best daaadddyy of the year.
