  • Now that the cold weather and snow has finally arrived here at our little cabin in the woods, I've got my hands full keeping the place clean, warm and comfortable while mother nature roars outside. In this video I show you a little bit about how I layer up to stay warm while working outside in the cold weather.

    I love splitting wood.
Set piece upright on hardest(!) frozen ground. For those huge pieces, buy two 5lb steel wedges and an 8lb sledge hammer. After splitting some, you might be able to use your splitting axe on smaller pieces. Look for cracks in the wood -- splitting goes easiest along those lines. The colder the easier wood splits.
    Nice jacket.
    Layers best tip.

Can you tell me which shed /cabin you have? Is this an old hickory shed ? If so which one? Love the layout.
