Just ordered the x50 woodworker, thank you so much for your time!!! this is going to be a trip for me, novice pc, CNC, but a pro carpenter... lol here we go!!!
Enjoyed your video, In fusion I use the coolant/flood option to start my spindle pump via IOT relays but could also be used to start your dust collection, In the post processer I use from onefinity forum it has a option to set a delay time so the program will delay a few seconds for the spindle to reach the set point speed before running the program.
Thanks for the video on fusion 360 so many videos I watch move so fast and being new to it all helps to know what will do what and keep up with where the cursor is moving to.
Thank you very much for putting together this video. The timing couldn’t be better I use fusion 360 for 3-D printing, and on my milling machine. And my Onelinfinity is on order and should be arriving any day now. Just one question you designed your part in inches, and you manufacture part in metric. Please explain why not the same? Please keep the video coming. I would like to see a follow up video where you take your G code from your laptop over to your Onelinfinity and actually cut the part.
Southpaw, I am having troubles getting my X50 journeyman setup with fusion..do you have a guide to set the machine up entirely? I don’t see OF as a vendor with available machines. Did you set the machine up as a generic milling machine and add custom values? If so, can you share your values? Thanks!
Thanks this is a very helpful video. When I go to select the machine from the fusion 360 library, I cannot find the one Finity machine. How did you find it or did you set it up from a generic machine?
It’s been a few months since I set it up, but if I remember correctly, you’ll need to download it from the link below and install that way. forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/fusion-360-post-processor-download-links-included/2897
That was a great walk thru. It was def helpful to see the process from soup to nuts. I do have an issue on the setup. How did you get the Onefinity to list in the machine section?
If I understand what you’re asking, you’re needing to download the Onefinity preprocessor. This can be found in Onefinitys website in the discussion forum. It’s been a while since I did it, so I don’t remember the exact link.
It’s really important to use proper nomenclature in a tutoial, ESPECIALLY one for beginners. Timestamp 3:53; that is NOT a fillet, that is a radius. While Fusion DOES have the ability to create fillets, a radius is not a fillet, and it does not serve your purpose of creating a video for beginners by clouding your instructions with incorrect descriptions.
Sorry, was just going by the name of the tool, which is called the fillet in Fusion. And I understood the definition of fillet to be a sharp edge breaking feature that creates a radius. Guess I got it wrong. Thanks for the correction.
One last thing. I think I'm probind wrong. It keeps starting about 1/4 down into the material. Any thought? When I use carbide create it works correctly
Ok, i watched the introduction then, within 50 seconds you lost me. were did you get the square from to make it on the screen as you pull out to make it bigger. Were is the explanation were you got that from. It always beats me wither people do this for other people or for to boost their own ego. im off to find a more tutorial tutorial????
Download the postprocessor here. forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/fusion-360-post-processor-download-links-included/2897
Thank you for sharing. I am going to have to watch this a few times while at the PC.

Thanks Damian, I appreciate it!
You’re welcome

Glad it helps. I don't use Fusion that much. I'd like to do some work with 3D, and fusion is definitely where I want to go for that.

Will do

Check the Onefinity discussion forum. If I remember correctly, they had a download to import into Fusion.

Does the X-50 with arouter control the spindle speed, or does the rounter just whirl away at it's normal speed?
It moves at its normal speed. You’d adjust the speed of your router on the router itself.
how do you add the onefinity machines?
See the pinned comment at the top. There's a link to the postprocessor from Onefinity.
What did you tell fusion for a machine you'll be using
Check Onefinitys discussion forum. I believe you can download the configuration file from there
@@SothpawDesigns thanks I found the gcode loader on the autodesk site
@@greybeardedition Great. It'd been so long since I did it, I couldn't remember where it was listed. Glad you found it.

@@greybeardedition My first guess is that you're probing wrong, or maybe you have some setting or clearance incorrectly calculated.

Yup, this was totally an ego boost. Didn't think it was that obvious, but you saw through my smoke and mirrors. Good luck.
