The Ballon d'or is basically the world MVP award for the year, we don't see a Messi or Ronaldo in every generation, there's been some superb players but the last guy on that level like Messi or Ronaldo was probably Diego Maradona in the 80's, we've seen some other greats since, but to reach that level is special even amongst the greats, it could feasibly be another 30 years until we see it again...The reason I subscribed to you and Luke is you both come across as genuine guys and I enjoy watching people going on this football journey, it kind of reminds me of the young me that fell in love with the game

Ballon D'or is almost a one to one comparison to the NBA MVP award but there are some differences. Slightly harder winning a Ballon D'or in the sense of it having multiple leagues and more competition, would be easier choosing the MVP if they only had to look for the best player in the English Premier League. Also it's a full season award so team success have a bigger importance. You have 5 guys winning three or more in soccer compared to 8 guys in the NBA winning it three times or more.

Ballon D'or is almost a one to one comparison to the NBA MVP award but there are some differences. Slightly harder winning a Ballon D'or in the sense of it having multiple leagues and more competition, would be easier choosing the MVP if they only had to look for the best player in the English Premier League. Also it's a full season award so team success have a bigger importance. You have 5 guys winning three or more in soccer compared to 8 guys in the NBA winning it three times or more.

I think the people who say it's rigged or that it's political or whatever, just understood that in the end, it's just opinions, achievements and numbers, and as it's for the whole world, it's so hard to judge and sometimes the 3 nominees really deserved it but only one can get it so th3re will always be some debates, like this year it was really really close and either could have won it, but i don't see why trying to say that player is overrated and all, like yes, having that much Ballon d'Or doesn't make you automatically the best ever, but anyone who at least appreciate and or understand the sport know that he's at least in the discussion of the goat, and at some point it just makes sense that the best would make that kind of record, and ok maybe 2 are questionnable but most of the time, it's right and unanymous and 2 is nothing to the number of Ballon d'Or he have now

Yeah man I blame espn for not promoting football⚽️ as they should consider they are the “worldwide leader of sports” as American I fell in love with wwe/wwf, football⚽️ and basketball. Ofcourse growing up here I casually tune in to nfl, baseball boxing and the Olympics so I heard a lot of great names. What always pisses me off how lack any interest from the American media with football ⚽️ now there is but the 90s and the 2000s hardly. they’re too busy talking about super bowls and lebrons 🍆 for 20 years. While on the other side of the world there’s a much BIGGER impact going on that they could never comprehend.
