I’m a bassist and I’m looking for a nice guitar to play basic rhythm and simple chords in my studio. I think I FOUND my guitar. That color sold me. It sounds great; not expensive; craftsmanship is unbelievable especially when you consider the price. Great review! Love the sound (I’ll replace the pickups eventually) but again; great sound. Time to give my 1985 squier strat a rest; FINALLY!!😌🎶👍🏾

I’m considering purchasing this guitar. Excellent playing. I thought you might enjoy hearing that I have a Laney IRT-SLS amp (running through a Harley Benton 212 with Vintage 30’s)… Check out the Harley Benton Fusion T. It’s a HH setup with either hard tail or tremolo. (Also has the same neck/SS frets/coil tap/etc)I think the have a version 2 as well…

Got an exact identical one. Came with som minor finish flaws on the black parts of the finish, a couple of high frets that needed work and I struggled for a long time before getting the trem to work, ie being usable without falling out of tune. But now it`s there and I get what you`re saying about bonding with an instrument. This has become my go-to guitar and I am loving it more by the day.

I just ordered a used Fusion II from a dealer on Reverb. This demo video is very helpful. PS - I mostly own USA made guitars (Fender, Gibson, PRS), but I also own some really nice imports too. I currently don't own any 24-fret guitars so I hope this meets my needs as a shred guitar.

I realized something recently. My most favorite guitars are 42mm at the nut...which is not a very wide neck...and that works soo fucking well for me... my custom ESP, these Harley Benton Fusions, and some Jackson Soloists/Dnkys all have 42mm....and and it just feels right... but all the other brands, like... Ibanez....43-44mm nut to 58at last frett.... and I always feel like I'm fighting against the neck.... Fender Strats....44mm
HB really nailed both the width and radius of the fretboard, and thickness of the neck with these Fusion models... they are just fucking perfect for me

I needed a 24 fret guitar, I love the single coil in the middle, and the phase toggle, nice punchy and clear tones, so nice, I just got a SC 550 II and is really good Les Paul style, and it screams. also a CST 24, fricking love it. I received the same exact model (and color) 2 days ago; my big deception are those scratchy and noisy frets when bending, which I did not expect from stainless steel.. Changed the strings to 9-42, clean the fretboard with mineral oil. A little better, but I still hate this feeling. Apart from that great instrument, perfect intonation.

Tape off the pickups and use stupidly fine grit sand paper or sometimes a pink eraser on those frets and it'll be a dream. Either they didn't spend much time polishing or they got something on em. It happens even on 1k+ fenders and don't even get me started on Gibsons.

Hey, great demo and playing! I have the same guitar but without the roasted fretboard. Out of the 6 Harley Bentons I own, when that one came along it blew the first 3 I had bought out of the water, but then I got the CST-24T P90 which I prefer mainly because it has a better (lower) action and it is easier and more effortless to play (as you said, it goes with you and not against you), plus I love the P-90 sound it has. Then I got the TE-90 FLT, which is a cabronita Tele style (with "filtertron" like PUs) that also sounds awesome and plays easy with low action (the tuners tho are a bit hard to deal with, but the guitar holds tune well). So currently the Fusion II is my Nº 3. I've lowered the action as much as I can without getting too much buzz and it is great, but when I pick up any of the others I mentioned I instantly notice the difference, so honestly it comes in 3rd place for me even tho it is better speced out than the other 2.

I returned my Fusion. The steel frets were not polished which made bending impossible. The pickups sounded decent to me. It was as if these pickups have no power. A very low volume.

Oh no man that's such a bummer sorry to hear that.
The pickups have a low output response in my opinion but that also increases it's fidelity in to me so I can control it a little more and hone in on and achieve the dynamics and tones I'm after

@@DeakonLekross Almost all the pickups I have in my guitars are medium output. But these were very very medium. In addition, I missed the sparkle in these pickups. A bit dull sound. Maybe fix with a treble bleed.

@@DeakonLekross I received the new fusion but again no polished frets. I have a love-hate relationship with the pickups. with overdrive they sound pretty good, but clean they sound so very thin. Load stand in single coil. Tested with 0.10 and 0.9 strings. 0.9 sound absolutely not on this guitar. As if there are 0.7 strings on it. Even without an amplifier this guitar will sound compressed. otherwise this guitar plays well. Trem works really heavy but stays in tune. Potentiometers work poorly. Not equal at all. So I don't understand all the super positive youtube reviews. My other 3 HB are crazy.

That's right, the frets aren't polished and sound bad at first!
The processing is also not 100% in detail, but good for the money.
The pickups have a little less output. But that's exactly what I was looking for.
It always depends on the amplifier behind it!
The LANEY GH50R-212 and the harley benton fusion-ii hsh roasted are good buddies here.
The rather weak pickups are ideal here and deliver very different sounds.
      Ideal for a cover band.

this one or eart explorer 1? i mean on cost/benefit

    • @DeakonLekross
      @DeakonLekross  3 роки тому +2

They both are around the same cost basically and they both have quite astounding features all around
As far as I'm concerned they are pretty on part with one another with a completely different tonal approach.
I'd have to say this guitar is the one I would recommend though because you will get more variety and more options to choose from. This guitar has a "loose" feel to it (if that makes sense) more like a strat would be! And the Eart has more of a "tight" feel like an ibanez.
At least that is what I got out of playing them both ha ha
Hope that helps! Sorry for the long response👍

@@mountainman8775 Its a fret that sits beside the nut. It allows the guitar to have the lowest action possible. Not for everyone I guess but if you like the action super low or have played a guitar with the zero fret like a Vigier it's hard to go back.
