In most glasses reviews videos I see they talk mostly about fashion and fit but not about lenses and quality of vision which is what a lot of us are most concerned with.
I just placed my first order with them and I’m super excited! My first time having glasses again since childhood and I’m relieved to not have to break the bank just to see properly 😌
I have been seeing many comments about thinning the lenses, they are referred to as high index lenses. EyeBuyD offers two thicknesses. 1.5 and 1.6. Both come with free anti-reflective and anti-scratching. The cheaper one is plenty thin FYI. I highly recommend them.
Thanks for the review. I am thinking about ordering from them for the first time. By the way, the clear ones look good on you as they don't draw the attention away from your face.
I just bought glasses from eyebuydirect before watching any videos about them. I don’t need glasses so I just got the blue light filter ones. I’ll edit once I get them. Edit: I just received my glasses! I love them a lot, they fit great and I’m very happy with my purchase!
@@AndrewChwalik I had my eye exam at LensCrafters. I afterwards went to the glasses area of the LensCrafters store. They don't take my insurance at all. A female worker showed me two pairs of glasses, one costing $508 and another pair costing $437. That cost for each of the glasses includes the lenses. I then went to a place that took my insurance for buying glasses. My insurance would cover the cost of the frames and basic lenses. Any upgrades, like high index lenses (which I DO need given my strong prescription) or anti-reflective coating, would cost extra, and I would have to pay out-of-pocket. She showed me a pair of plastic frames. I would have to pay $60 for the high index lenses and $60 for the anti-reflective coating out-of-pocket, for a total cost of $120 for the glasses. She did not specify the level of the high index lenses (1.67, 1.74, etc.). I requested to the worker to put the glasses on hold for me. I then went on the EyeBuyDirect website, and I purchased a pair of acetate frames with 1.74 high index lenses. The lenses offered UV protection, have anti-reflective coating, are water-repellent, and are scratch-resistant. I also added an "anti-fog lens cloth" and a black-colored eyeglass hard case for my glasses. The total cost, after the discount I applied, was $105.99. How much did you pay out-of-pocket after insurance for your LensCrafters glasses?
It’s been years since I bought glasses from LensCrafters. I know they were the most expensive. I’d never go there again. My insurance usually would cover the frame and lenses and then I’d have to pay for upgrades, similar to your situation. When I get my next pair, I’m going to just order them online again.
Would you mind sharing your lens powers so I can get an idea of how much distortion(smaller or bigger) there will be for my glasses when ordering the kyoto ones?
Did you measure your face in mm to get the right fit? My worry is if they’ll fall off my face. From exercise, playing guitar to working on the computer, I look down a lot so I’m worried of them falling.
You’ll need to get your prescription from your eye doctor. You’ll find all the information you need to order glasses online. As for the blue light, I just picked a random option and went with it.

Don't use them if you live in Canada, and have a Canadian health insurance company. The invoices and all else appears to come from the US, where the company is now based. There are all sorts of hoops to jump thru after you get glasses with a US address, and try to submit to your Canadian plan provider.

Honestly, I was worried about that as well. They have a sizing chart on the site and I actually measured my face and eyes so I could be sure of what size I needed. After doing that, I decided a medium was right for me. There’s no way to truly know in my opinion, I did take a bit of a risk but it seemed my measurements worked out correctly.

hi, i was wondering what size you got in the Morning glasses? i have an extremely narrow face (kind of like yours) so i am kind of worried about that. thank you so much for making this video!
I've been watching a lot of videos on how to fit frames, and your eyebuydirect glasses fit you perfectly, whereas your more expensive glasses are a bit too small for your face. They say the lenses should go from temple to temple; they should not be less wide across than your face is, nor should there be a big gap between your temple and your temple piece. If there is, then the frame is too large. I noticed right away than your more expensive glasses are too small for you.
