Always love seeing people talk about our little project. 3:44 I compose all the soundtrack for Team Green. Always happy to hear people enjoy the work I put in :)
This demo looks quite spectacular so far! It's really impressive what Team Green have managed to do with The War Of The Worlds Multiplayer in such a short time and it's really nice to see GelatoDev reviving this project that has always had so much promise! :)
This video introduced me back into the game and I’ll just say it was bloody good playing as Martians and scary playing as a human. Cheers to team green
Yeah, even though it's just a demo so far, they've done a really great job with it! It's quite a lot of fun already. And I'm glad this video got you back into it, thank you! :)
The Artillery firing at you, and view of it from the tripod cockpit in the dark reminded me of a scene from the Martian intro of the PC game, where you could see front the tripod pilots viewpoint the flash of the artillery for a few moments.
Gotta say, the tripods have a lot of lively bouncy animations. It's like they somehow mixed the Jeff Wayne movement with some sort of swag (in the pc game), and slender movement of the Tom Cruise ones. From how I see it.
Agreed, they've done a really good job with the animations especially! Apparently, I think they've done it with a physics based system, as opposed to pre-rendered animations, where the tripod's legs are literally holding it up and able to calculate where the body should be based on each individual position of each leg. (I probably explained it incorrectly, but it was something like that and sounded very impressive.)
@@pupbennykind of like a more complicated 3d version of rainworld's procedural animation where it calculates everything in real time rather than being animated beforehand
I feel like played this game half a decade ago, but surley it cant be? I remember a war of the worlds game looking kinda like this, but you could only play human. There where from what i remember not much other than woods, fields and tripods in this game. Does anyone know what it could have been?
Hey Benny have you heard of a cancelled game called The Destruction of the Nuclear Monsters? You can play as a giant tripod and other 50s-style monsters, or as humans driving vehicles to fight them. Sadly the game was cancelled, but it would've been awesome to play.
@@pupbenny Agreed. It would've been amazing. I learned about it on IndieDB and there's even screenshots, footage, concept art etc on there. Closest we've got to playing as monsters in the 1950s is War of the Monsters, a PS2 which I absolutely recommend. It also has a boss in the game that looks like a tripod (only with four legs).
@@emeraldeelentertainment8988 That's another one I haven't heard of! I still have a PS2, maybe eventually I'll see if I can get a copy and give it a go! Thank you for the suggestion! :)
@@pupbenny I totally recommend it. It's an arena brawler where you play as colossal monsters and destroy cities. Made by Incognito Entertainment. Same developers as the Twisted Metal games. Tons of fun! There's an unlockable Mars Attacks-inspired alien monster to unlock and play as (part of the flying saucer invasion). The game's booklet hints at a larger world the game doesn't really mention (the US version anyway, the UK booklet cuts lore and mention of radiation out). I think Dylan Jobe and the other devs wanted to flesh the world out more, but the development was met with many challenges. There's even a cancelled reboot from 2012.

Absolutely, I've always thought the soundtrack is amazing! It really creates such a fantastic atmosphere in the game, so thank you very much! :)
There spo good brunnski 😃👌

Awesome seeing you upload your voice is one of my favs for lore out of all channels.
@@shawnafaithbritton3248 Ha, thank you very much!
i love how you said "the waw of the wewlds🥺"
Hell yeah! I've been excited for this to finally release a demo!

Actually the more I look at it, it looks more like the ones from the History Channel. The Great Martian War tbh.
Got to admit The Great Martian war documentary was better than I expected.@@Soon_To_Be_Gone_Acc

I can’t wait to see more details in the future of this game and hope they add a way to fight the bots
I hope so too! There's so much they could do with it.
This game looks awesome, war of the worlds as a multiplayer player game is a great concept.
Yeah, it has a lot of promise! :)
I like the look of how it's developing!
I would've preferred the original iteration if the Martians, but that's my personal preference.
I wish I could really play the demo, but when it opens the game proceeds to crash
yeah.
There’s nobody playing it anymore, tried gettin on yesterday and today and nobody was there

I wish this was mobile and also hopefully he keeps that design of the tripods
I want you to make more tripod videos
Will have the next one out probably next week. :)
my windows has warned me about playing the game
this game is amazing

I haven't heard of that, that sounds really interesting! It's a shame such a great sounding concept for a game was cancelled.

Didnt you poste a video showing 2 collapsed tripods? I rember finding one and now i cant find it.
Oh yeah here we go: ua-cam.com/video/ba7S_LXD9CM/v-deo.html
How to get it?
9:21
You played it too?!
Yeah, both the original and the sequel. :) (I think they released others but I don't think I played them.)
it's such an early build but still looks like it would be really fun if you just want to mess around and destroy stuff for a while😂
Yeah, it's already pretty great, so it'll be fantastic to see what they do with it next! :D
Alas, it does not work well with wine.
This is free? And on steam
what specs d'you have ?
I'm not even sure tbh.
Welp this game probably got shelved again after seeing the "made in Unity"
It look like it on roblox
Ha yeah, it does kind of!
