Wow I am so confused… I read and also see myself how the tournament doesnt treat him very well (Mauresmo putting him to play until 3am and then schedules next match early), but at the same time, no matter how you hate him, now that he is out, isnt it a loss for the RG in terms of ticket sale? Like where is the logic?? Shouldnt they have tried to create the most favorable conditions for the no 1 tennis player and the GOAT, even if they dont like him, just for the tournament profit? I certainly wont be interested in RG anymore now that the GOAT is out
Obviously the Roland Garros officials, don't care much. The match Osaka - Swiatek had maybe 25% of stands full. Thousands of people have been waiting outside, to enter for the next matches. RG officials didn't even bother to let those thousands of people outside of the stadium - to watch the Osaka- Swiatek match for free. It would make much better atmosphere for the match, and in general for the Tennis media.
I am with Henman on this. The scheduling is not ok at all. The injury is a separate thing as is the court because that is still some guesswork depending on local weather. Of course there might be history before the match regarding the court that I am not aware of. Much respect and good recovery to Djokovics.
The best athlete, the best tennis player, he is everything! Numbers don't lie... What else could he possibly do ? Score points by hitting a one-handed backhand while doing a backflip? Well, he won't do that. But almost all the records and almost all the peaks in this sport (certainly all the greatest ones) are under his name. Personal preferences will always remain the same and that's perfectly fine. Even me, a Djokovic fan, certainly prefer Roger's tennis and admit that he is playing far more beautiful. Roger had his time of domination. A 10 plus years of being the GOAT! But now he is NOT, based on anything measurable! It's not me saying it, but experienced tennis players who openly state it, plus all tennis analysts and ex-players (like Willander and McEnroe). People with much more knowledge for the sport than you and me!
As a twenty-year long Fed fan, I fully accept all of that. But who's arguing otherwise? I'm very happy with 3rd best of all-time and Roger's incomparable style, although Wimbledon 2019 will always remain a difficult moment. :-) I'm disappointed Novak didn't pull out yesterday; I had a feeling this was going to happen. I guess the raw instinct which got him to where he is just kicked in and refused to let him lose. He was treading uncharted territory in tennis history and I felt 25 was just a matter of time, but unfortunately things are more uncertain now. I hope he's back soon.
R3 & R4-Djoker plays 2 AMAZING drama-filled matches. Air-Djoker flying in both 5th sets. Picking Nole over Ruud. Carlos over Stef. Sasha over Dimi. Yannik over Dimmi. Knee different from soft tissue injuries strain-issue for the Djoker-will play-how well & how long - tough to say - update - possible torn minisucs - The RG scheduling of the finish of the Dimi match could have been placed on a different court in R3. The R4 Djoker request to sweep the grounds could have been honoured. Maybe contributing factors - maybe not. Won't ever know. He's out. RG QFs SFs Fs diminished some now that the GOAT is out at this stage - here's hoping for a quick & speedy recovery. IDEMMOOOO NOLE!

why do u only care about scheduling when it affects novak but not the other players subject to the same scheduling ?
@@BOZ_11 because he earned his right by being no 1

Perfectly said!
RG managed what was not for 37y, and that is injuring the GOAT!!!

Sarà per sempre l'unico numero UNO nel gioco e nella vita che ricorderò con ammirazione.
Tim is totally right, no doubt🤔
Shame. I was hoping to see Alcaraz or Sinner destroy him.
🤣🤣🤣
