Any day now the Amico will launch off the rocket pad into the stratosphere over the moon into Yavin 4 where the Rebellion will cheer after defeating the Gaming Racist Empire. Lol yep any day now
Thank you. I didn't come here to hear about the Celtics, which is why I usually avoid the classic CU Podcast, because I'm not into talk shows and morning hen parties and discussing Jabba the Hutt's new tricycle and Hollywood and sports and what's up with Regis, and that new terrible Zelda movie. I'm here to watch Tommy cry.
It was a wild success and achieved everything it was designed to do. Get millions from suckers while giving nothing in return. From the time Tommy canceled that factory run, losing a $100,000 deposit, he never contacted another factory and never paid another deposit. It boggles my mind nobody ever thought to ask him about this. It proves there never was a plan to manufacture. No game devs were paid either.
Punisher seems like an outlier, but it was put on the Marvel Vs Capcom collection because it was the first true collaboration between Marvel and Capcom.
Had I ever told you the story, of when I was homeless & through a trowaway obama phone I encounter this show, and crave owning a shirt. It happened, true story.
Most of them have thrown up their hands and walked away, because Intellivision was *the* reason they were into the Amico to begin with. Without Intellvision, the Amico is a bar that no longer serves alcohol.
The NES World Campionship showed a legen challenge run for Super Mario, where you speed run the whole game without dying and using warp pipes. So at least theres hope to complete these games in some capacity in one run.
Was I not paying attention, or did they just completely skip Dragon Quest 3 when going over the Nintendo Direct? That was by far the biggest part of the direct for me. I literally wept tears of joy during that trailer.
I wonder if for Zelda it could be like the menu in BOTW where one button brings up swors, another shields and so on and maybe they seperate types of itmes you can copy that way. It looks great though, cant wait
I think part of the cost is b/c a lot of the lego bricks in the LOZ set are unique and they can’t reuse them on other sets. Other generic sets like the castle or pirate systems have tons of bricks that they can reuse in other sets. This is the only way the can afford to put out branded sets like this one that look unique
I too wish this was a cheaper set (it's $400 here in Canada), but in general, Lego sets are about $0.10/piece so a $300 usd price point for a ~2500 piece set is pretty much where you'd expect this to fall. For perspective, those huge castle sets from the 80's and 90's had around 500-600 pieces and were priced at around $50-60. Honestly it's kind of surprising that despite inflation Lego's pricing structure has remained fairly constant.
StarFox Zero without the bullshit would be awesome. I ended up getting it brand new at Walmart for like $6 well after the Switch released. I couldn't get over the tablet shit and put it down after a while.
I remember years ago Gamestop had printed Metroid Prime 4 placeholder boxes on the shelves and amazon had it listed online. I wonder how bad it was that it got scrubbed completely that far on!
3:29 - Announcing the N64 book: that is the most emotion I have seen from Ian in a while! I bought Adobe Photoshop CS4 and I still have the disc and keys. So glad I did! No service BS for me! Ever!
The new Zelda looks awesome. I’m stoked to play it. Links Awakening remake is one of my favorite games on the switch. I wish they would make a switch or next-gen switch version of Link Between Worlds . Maybe bundle it with a remake of a Link to the Past remake
i think i just figured out the real meaning of why they chose the name AMICO. Its so stupid but also sounds real BECAUSE of that. My half-baked theory: It was named that so in presentation, it could be called "THE INTELLIVISON AMICO BY TOMMY TALLARICO" Only reeeeal logical answer ive been able to come up with honestly lol
Resident Board Game Snob of the Podcast here: IP Licensed Board Games used to be garbage. Many of them are pretty incredible now. Marvel Champions, Marvel United, many many Lotr games, Star Wars Rebellion, battlestar galactica, dune imperium, and tons of others. They are quite often very good now.
great show guys! I had that Spider-Man Sega beat em up game too. I wish I would’ve kept it. If the case got dropped on the Ameko and the furniture company it is possible they got a payout outside of court or like it outside settlement or something. I don’t know.
I had this same issue recently with Adobe Photoshop. Was going to let it go for a month and they were going to charge me 89 dollars to cancel, which I could not afford to do. So I have to keep it. Graphic Design Mafia.
Just take the hit and switch to Affinity. Trust me bro Adobe isn't even worth it anymore. The quality of the software fell off outside of Lightroom and After Effects.
You forgot to talk about all the RPGs that were talked about. The 3D remake of Romancing Saga 2, the HD-2D remakes of Dragon Quest I-III, and a new Mario and Luigi RPG; Brothership. There was also Fantasian, which comes from the creator of Final Fantasy and has the OG composer as well. I'm especially excited for Brothership, since I never thought we would see any new Mario and Luigi games after Alpha Dream went under, and there are rumors that the game is being made by former Alpha Dream devs who were hired by Nintendo.
First of all, I saw the notification. CUPodcast video? What???? Second of all. I saw the title. "Intellivision Amico Roadmap". Cobwebs abound in my head. I had to do a double take... These guys are still alive???? I thought they went the way of the Fyre Festival! This went from outrageous to sad, to comical, to "who?", back to comical again! 😂 Hi Tommy!
Ian, I need a leg up. Please come play a 50v50 immersive ww2 fps with me. I want to start streaming after 7 years of UA-cam. I will see you have one of the most "epic" experiences in gaming!
Are you guys back now. Doing the show how you used to? I left when you said you guys were ending the show. Yet now you seem to be uploading more, like the good days.
Honestly a while ago I thought the Amico stuff was done and boring but in recent months I've completely flipped my opinion, it's hilarious again. I hope above all else you guys continue to do what's the most entertaining for y'all but I don't mind coverage until this eventually totally crashes and burns lol.
Wonder how close to arcade perfect the Capcom Fighting Collection will be. Is the Switch powerful enough to run the games without slowdown, lag, or missing frames of animation?
For all the trash it got during the Amico saga, I really hope that version of Finnegan Fox sees some kind of release. It'd be a shame for it to also go down to the depths with Tommy and Co.'s ill fated ship.
Short hair ian really makes me confused. Like how does a hair cut change the way your face looks? Not saying this either as good or bad it's just different?
I remember Marvel vs. Streetfighter followed Xmen vs. Streetfighter, before they went to the Marvel vs. Capcom ones. I especially remember that one because the Narrator goes truly crazy there. He talks up everything, including all the Special moves, and/or Team Super moves, if they are used as the finishing hit of a round. (Kind of funny to here him say some of the more Japanese special moves)
The Capcom MARVEL games are actually in this order: Punisher game: The Punisher (1993) - Was ported exclusively to the Sega Genesis X-Men series: X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse (early 1994) - Was released exclusively for the Super NES X-Men: Children of the Atom (late 1994) - Was ported to PS1 and Sega Saturn X-Men vs. Street Fighter (mid 1996) - Was ported to PS1 and Sega Saturn Marvel Super Heroes series: Marvel Super Heroes (1995) - Was ported to PS1 and Sega Saturn Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems (late 1996) - Was released exclusively for the Super NES Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (1997) - was ported to PS1 and Sega Saturn Marvel vs. Capcom series: Marvel vs. Capcom (1998) - Was ported to PS1 and Sega Dreamcast Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (2000) - Was ported to PS2, Sega Dreamcast, and Xbox Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (2011) - Was ported to PS3 and Xbox 360 Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (2011) - Was ported to PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, and Xbox One Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (2017) - Was ported to PS4 and Xbox One

36:13 is when Pat & Ian discuss the latest news regarding the Roadmap “update” and the setting of the furniture lawsuit.
Damn. Savage.
The BIG BIG news is Ian's haircut
Ian ripping on the Amico just has that special vintage about it. Refined, yet barbed.
Ian is the definition of let him cook
"How cool would it be if the Amico console came out"
Tommy: "Wouldn't that be something!"
A snazzy look for ian 🎉
Funny thing, I literally just discovered you guys from the 2012 docuseries The Video Game Years, I'm gonna binge watch all of your guys stuff!!!!
That's how I found them a few years back. Been watching ever since!
Amico + the word "roadmap" = 😂🤣
oh wow Pat finaly covering the intellivision Amico!
I'm hoping for a MVC2 Amico port!
Wouldn't that be something!@@Blas4ublasphemy
It’ll be amusing the day business schools implement the Amico on their curriculum. As part of how not do something.
I have found memories playing the Heathcliff board game from the early ‘80’s at my Grandma’s house.
Love the haircut, Ian! Lookin classy.
Now we wait for that "Tommy Talarico taking credit for Metroid Prime 4" moment.
That's the true reason it's been in limbo for so long
If someone told me Tommy was on the team that had MP4 first before Nintendo scrapped it to start over, I wouldn't be surprised.
Punisher seems like an outlier, but it was put on the Marvel Vs Capcom collection because it was the first true collaboration between Marvel and Capcom.
Limited Run Games had Fox n Forests available for the PS4 recently, which is basically Finnigan Fox.
They forgot to put "bankrupcy" on the roadmap. It's the one thing that's actually going to happen, and they left it out! OOF!
Had I ever told you the story, of when I was homeless & through a trowaway obama phone I encounter this show, and crave owning a shirt. It happened, true story.
I wonder how the Amico cheer squad feels about this and the whole purchase of Intellivision by Atari in general.
Most of them have thrown up their hands and walked away, because Intellivision was *the* reason they were into the Amico to begin with. Without Intellvision, the Amico is a bar that no longer serves alcohol.
It's time to bury the hatchet and invite Tommy on the show so he can explain to all of us why the not-Intellivision Amico is such a great idea.
Yeah, let’s see the three make some pasta
"Whoooooaa, it's the CUPodcast!"
Whenever I see another Amico update I have to drop everything and click frantically. Great entertainment, thanks Tommy 12/10
If only Pat & Ian had Tommy's pasta fazool, this Amico crisis could've been prevented.
2005 was when I graduated from my High School!!!
Relate
The NES World Campionship showed a legen challenge run for Super Mario, where you speed run the whole game without dying and using warp pipes. So at least theres hope to complete these games in some capacity in one run.
glad to hear these guys talk about the direct I am so hype for the versus series coming back!
We need an emergency podcast discussing the announcement of Gimmick! 2 now that is a real thing
Drop that quarter...Good to see another CU Podcast sooner than later. Thanks fellas!
Love the evercade. Tomb Raider collection. Duke Nukem Collection. Games of my childhood. Rejoice!
Was I not paying attention, or did they just completely skip Dragon Quest 3 when going over the Nintendo Direct? That was by far the biggest part of the direct for me. I literally wept tears of joy during that trailer.
They skipped over a lot. It happens. People focus on what they're most interested in
Heck they skipped Mario and Luigi Brothership too. First one since Alpha Dream was shut down. such an injustice! And DQ3 is my favorite DQ.
@TorqueEffect Mine too 👍
They didn't even *mention* the Phantom Brave sequel. 😠
I wonder if for Zelda it could be like the menu in BOTW where one button brings up swors, another shields and so on and maybe they seperate types of itmes you can copy that way.
It looks great though, cant wait
Pat, $150 when you were a kid (and me) is now $400
A LEGO set of that size would have cost about $40 back in the day.

Price per piece in this set is poor, only Dune’s set was this high but was half the price and came with more mini figures.
To the people buying into Amico I hope you enjoy your paperweight when you put on your A/C 😅
Ian's got good jib.
Thanks for the great show and years of entertainment, guys.
36:15
These are the only good UA-cam comments. Thank you sir.
Link to the past is unmatched. Its a masterpiece!
the non intellivision system now. i doubt atari buying intellivision will help amico
Considering Atari didn't purchase the Amico as part of the Intellivision purchase, I would agree they won't help the Amico.
A HD 2D Zelda II Remake would've been nice.
The lego set has alot of unique pieces in it which bumps up the cost since they have to actually mold & produce the pieces in smaller batchs
Great show and intro great content, annoyed I missed your advert/commercials 📺 stream this week.
You guys are great. Keep it coming!
I was so excited to see and possibly play a new entry to the earth worm Jim franchise but alas the moons didn’t line up
Hey Pat a quick question. Why isn't there an R.B.I. sticker on the back of your laptop?
More like Rigid Force Undux. Am I right?
Flaccid Force Subdux Diminished
Can I write for the Gamecube book if one ever gets written?
Couldn’t wait to see your takes on this lmao
3:29 - Announcing the N64 book: that is the most emotion I have seen from Ian in a while!
I bought Adobe Photoshop CS4 and I still have the disc and keys. So glad I did! No service BS for me! Ever!
I have the Zaxxon board game, I never played it, now if I could just find someone to kidna... play it with me.
Ian could play a rat catcher in House of the Dragon.
The new Zelda looks awesome. I’m stoked to play it. Links Awakening remake is one of my favorite games on the switch. I wish they would make a switch or next-gen switch version of Link Between Worlds . Maybe bundle it with a remake of a Link to the Past remake
Is Ian talking about the neo geo mini or the MVSX?
Ian with the fresh new look. I dig it.
i think i just figured out the real meaning of why they chose the name AMICO. Its so stupid but also sounds real BECAUSE of that.
My half-baked theory:
It was named that so in presentation, it could be called "THE INTELLIVISON AMICO BY TOMMY TALLARICO"
Only reeeeal logical answer ive been able to come up with honestly lol

I'd just issue a charge back the next month with my bank if you never plan on using it again

Damn its crazy how old these dudes look

IAN HAIRRRRRRRRRR
Oh, I thought he just gained 20 lbs 😂
First of all, I saw the notification. CUPodcast video? What???? Second of all. I saw the title. "Intellivision Amico Roadmap". Cobwebs abound in my head. I had to do a double take... These guys are still alive???? I thought they went the way of the Fyre Festival! This went from outrageous to sad, to comical, to "who?", back to comical again! 😂 Hi Tommy!
guys completely forgot the new Mario and Luigi during the Direct segment
Is the roadmap just a straight line to a dumpster?
Looking good guys
Why do you feel the pod cast in unnecessary? Look forward to seeing you, Ian in Long Island again.
They have a roadmap? 😂
yes - to failure lol
Donkey Kong Contri Returns
Google the Zaxxon board game. It does look pretty cool.
Haircut lookin’ good Ian
Ok i didnt saw the CU Podcast a long time ago... what happened to IAN
He took a particularly devastating dump.
Those Evercades seem way too small for that price. Only 25% less than the cost of an Arcade1up but a lot smaller.
The new Zelda game looks like an ooold DOS game called Fairy Godmom it had a copy replace mechanic to navigate a level and defeat enemies
Sick video 🔥🔥
The Mad Magazine board game begs to differ.
Ian, I need a leg up.
Please come play a 50v50 immersive ww2 fps with me. I want to start streaming after 7 years of UA-cam. I will see you have one of the most "epic" experiences in gaming!

Paused on watching the new Scott's Stash for this.......was not disappointed.
Honestly a while ago I thought the Amico stuff was done and boring but in recent months I've completely flipped my opinion, it's hilarious again. I hope above all else you guys continue to do what's the most entertaining for y'all but I don't mind coverage until this eventually totally crashes and burns lol.
The sticker on the lower right of Ian's laptop looks like a swastika.
The Unico MVS Neo Geo is big.
3:25 _N64 book is ready for print._ Willie heard ya. Willie don't care.
You ready for Too Many Games and Friendly’s?
Wonder how close to arcade perfect the Capcom Fighting Collection will be. Is the Switch powerful enough to run the games without slowdown, lag, or missing frames of animation?
Yay!
Let's go!
Funny I also collect Lego and I thought the same thing. The price for the Lego set was outrageous. The figures are cool but the set was boring.
Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter much?
Combat?
The hobbits looked scary :)
Toys look bigger when you're a kid because ur smaller
Love it 😊

Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems (late 1996) - Was released exclusively for the Super NES
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (1997) - was ported to PS1 and Sega Saturn
Marvel vs. Capcom series:
Marvel vs. Capcom (1998) - Was ported to PS1 and Sega Dreamcast
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (2000) - Was ported to PS2, Sega Dreamcast, and Xbox

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (2011) - Was ported to PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, and Xbox One
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (2017) - Was ported to PS4 and Xbox One
Howdy
The Link's awakening remake ran horribly, hopefully they fixed the engine. It was pretty unacceptable in the more busy areas
You guys are looking old
That lego set should not be more than $150 bucks lol. Lego has got to be one of the greediest and laziest companies I've bared witness too in years. A premium price is one thing, but this company has made it their business to just rip people off with mediocre nonsense.
