Sadly, this is the only occasion they’ve sung together, I believe.

Li Yugang: Ancient Chinese tradition prevented women from performing for men at the Old Opera House in Beijing. From this tradition came a style called “Nan Dan” in which the man plays a female role in the Beijing Opera. One that was a restriction, today turned into culture and the greatest exponent of this culture in China is the singing and performer Li Yugang: Who created his own theatrical play (Who toured the world in 2015) and released several CDs (successfully of sales) he won 4 Denny award in Beijing.

A couple of beautiful duets are A Thousand Miles A Common Dream with Zhang Yingxi and Heaven and Earth duet with Chang Shilei in late 2021 in China.
This was the only duet he did with Li Yugang, but he often does duets with Chinese singers. You should listen to his "Jasmine Flower" duet with Wu Tong, and with Luo Tianyi. There is also his "Swan Goose" duet with Tengri. I think these would definitely interest you! And in Dimash's latest "El Amor En Ti", he did a quartet with HIMSELF! You should also react to that. Also, if you are having troubles with Copyrights, you can just filter/blur the video while you are playing it, this solved most of the other reactors' Copyright Issues.

This performance is awesome. So many details, it is a blend of the ancient and old times: a singer from Chinese Opera, wearing tradicional clothes, and a very contemporary singer from out of the world (Dimash of course😁), a song from Chinese Opera "Drunken Concubine" and "Diva Dance" that originally is sang by an female alien in a sci-fi movie, finally different voice techniques!
If you liked this Duet, you can watch Swan Goose, duet with Tengri: 3 different singing techniques, mixture of languages (Dimash sings in Mongolian, Chinese and Kazakh), mixture of rhythms, mixture of traditional and modern instruments!
And of course the duet with Wu Tong singing Jasmine, a song that is so culturally important in China that you need approval to be able to sing it!
BUT you didn't react to Dimash's masterpiece and you should! The Story of One Sky is a mini movie (13 minutes) with Dimash singing in EVERY possible register, style, super low and high notes! This mini movie is competing now in a prestigious Movie Festival in London! Hug from Brazil!

Dimash duets are a beautiful thing. He never tries to out sing anybody. Always tries to lift his companions up.
Li Yugang is a traditional Chinese opera singer, sings all the high parts. and that definitely was a whistle note G#7

So far this is the only duet between Li Yugang and Dimash. He has some duets with other people that are brilliant too though. I highly recommend Swan Goose sung by Dimash and famous Mongolian singer Tengri (aka Tengger). It is superb.
Dimash is incredible. S.O.S., Opera 2, and Sinful Passion are all great too, as well as more i forget the name of. Always do live videos from him.

When you have a little more time please react to DImash's mini movie The Story of One Sky. The movie is hard hitting and the vocals are out of this world. 😊
Remember the original Diva Song was song (that they partly sing here) by an alien in the movie Fifth Element (1997) during an epic fight scene. The original singer is the opera singer Evgenia Laguna. The part that makes it alien in the movie was computer generated and even the original singer even used the electronic sound when she performed the Diva Song. It's more about the speed of pitch change than the height of the note that is impossible. I have seen many great performances of the song now and it was actually the first song of Dimash I ever saw (on this same show I think). Dimash (solo performance) made it seem so easy, so natural and went higher then the others.

Dimash rendition of Opera #2 by Vitas is also one to watch (same Chinese show where he did SOS d'un terrien en détresse you reacted on). That song is basically an octave show off... Dimash is also called the 6 octaves man. His sung range expands 6 octaves and 2 semitones, from C2 to C6 to F#6 and, finally, D8.

He did Swan Goose with Tengri and they had Mongolian throat singers in that performance. He also sang with the super vocal boys doing a Queen Medley that is only available on Vimeo.

That's the only duet for the two of them. Li YuGang is a singer of classical Beijing opera and wrote the song, which is a pop take on a famous classical opera about Consort Yang and the Bright Emperor of the Tang Dynasty. Here, Dimash sings the part of the emperor and Li the part of Consort Yang.
Another impressive duet you might like is that of Dimash and Victor Ma, a famous Chinese rapper. They sing MJ's Earth Song together.

In Drunken Concubine, Dimash sang the part of the Emperor and Li sang the part of the concubine with the very distinctive Peking Opera twangy voice while Dimash’s unique crystal clear pure voice was unmistakable. I am late to your party (channel), forgive me. I just watched your playlist for Dimash and loved it. I could almost read your thoughts just by the expressions on your face. Maybe I missed the others but, did you stop reacting to Dimash after this list? If so, you have missed out on so many more beautiful songs. Songs from the Singer 2017 performance, like "Adagio", Autumn Strong", "All By Myself", and "Unforgettable Day". He wrote that last one when he was 19. Other songs after the show like, Know, Love Is Like A Dream, and "Your Love". I really hope you react to these songs as well. The orchestration of the songs from "The Singer 2017" is world-class, especially Adagio and Unforgettable Day. Oh yeah, "Omir" brought me to tears.

Confessa ＆ The Diva Dance was the 12. song in the competition “The Singer 2017”. …and then the blue alien-lady song (movie: "5th Element" with Milla Jojovich and Bruce Willis) …The song that should be unsingable. In the film it is electronically edited. Many singers (male or female) have tried. Nobody sings this song as perfectly as Dimash. He is the only person in the world who sings this song flawlessly. He reaches the highs as well as the lows effortlessly and he delivers all riffs and runs and staccati accurately.
When Dimash fell on his back and lay down at the end of the song, a worried viewer called out: Get an ambulance!
In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old) and the first non-Chinese. Foreign participants were actually forbidden until then. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to UA-cam ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won).
Just caught this while passing by, the voice of Li, sounds like a Chinese female singer. Li sings female parts in Chinese Operas, FYI. I am just loving the versatility of all these vocal songs and sounds. So amazing. Singing will never be the same again. Now a much higher standard will be expected by listeners worldwide.

Kinda wild hearing it done live though. I'm not sure I even trust my ears. There is so much going on it sounds fake (the movie version had electronic editing because the character was alien, so the source doesn't sound real anyway)

"Drunken Concubine" is based on events known to the Chinese from their history. An emperor was infatuated with an enchanting concubine. She was somehow drawn into a palace intrigue. His people insisted she be executed, which he had to agree to.

That whistle note is not dimashs highest note so far, I know, hard to believe but see for yourself unforgettable day live a gakku for a massively high D8 note, a note not on the piano, Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 and it’s beautiful
Li is trained in the ancient Chinese opera sound.
His training is so he can sound like and look like a woman as women were not allowed to perform.
He is palying the Drunken Concubine to Dimash's owner of the concubine.
Li is telling Dimash that he knows he is the favorite concubine to the owner and that he know Dimash loves him.
Dimash is angry with it all.
