- Full installation of Trail Tech Voyager GPS on a Honda 2011 CRF450 motorcycle.
Shows how to install the engine temperature sensor, wheel sensor, ignition sensor, and power connection. Shows mounting to the clamp using Trail Tech's 025-OEB6 bracket and the number plate mod to make it fit. Works with OEM number plate, Trail Tech X2 headlight, 8" race light, and extreme race light.
This install is similar for most Honda CR/CRF motorcycles.

Thanks for the great video, ordered Voyagers for our bikes here in Canada and can't wait to install. One thing to note, make sure to check that you have the correct power supply as it could short out the unit (AKA a lighting stator).
im buying mine within the next few days for a crf250x :) cant wait :D
thank you very much for this video, omg you made this so easy to install !
Great clean work
muy buen explicacion
Well done video!!!
Very good video,
very good thanks
Great video, well done! Now if only we could see some older bikes getting the treatment! Oh, an XRR maybe? :)
@PlaystationJunkie509 yeah, idk which i should get. i was originally gonna get the vapor, but i wanted to be able to map out my trails...but at the same time, i could just make a gps holder to mount on my handle bars for my garmin oregon 550t...
Fantastic!! There is a tutorial to install TRAILTECH KX450F in 2012?
Knipex! good stuff.. do you guys have a version for the carurated models?
@PlaystationJunkie509 yeah, i think that's what i'm gonna do. save the money and keep it simple
@rcbasher101 Nope, no trails downloaded. Gonna import all our old trails from the garmin, and start tracking the trails we know at McLean and Radium. We're out of Calgary.
You can run this off a separate battery, but I am not sure what you would accomplish. Please call or email Trail Tech. We would like to discuss you specific project and make sure we understand completely what you would like to do.
you could make a video installing the Trail Tech (Model Vapor), is equal to or installation of Voyager GPS I await your response
Gabriel
@Tarzan07330 I didn't end up getting the gps one, I got the vapour one where it shows a realtime tachometer, i like that one lots, i didnt buy this one for two reasons: I don't really need a gps for where i ride, and 2: its 3x the price of the one i use now, sorry about that :S
which wire tells what gear you are in? is it the wire that connects to the thermal coil?
+2phalanges The meter has no gear indicator. There are no wires that can be hooked up to tell what gear you are in.
Hello there, my voyager missed the switch that goes at the "joistick" it's like a 6 legs piece (like chip) can you tell me please where should I find a replacement part? Thanks in advance.
@abdepner were you able to download any trails in canada? where are you from?
We do not have anything for the YZ450F. Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to find anything to give you power for lighting.
hi , did you do something to avoid the trail tech display beeing stolen from the handlebars? it is very easy to steal , it only has 1 mount to hold it on the handlebar (in this case it has one more but still very easy to steal) :x
Jorge Arraiol We did not install any kind of anti theft devise on it. We do not offer any anti theft devises for our products. They are designed to work on off-road applications. Most of the time these are stored inside a garage or trailer.
Red lock tight
how do i know if my ignition sensor is hooked up properly? Is there something thats supposed to happen to the unit? is there something supposed to show up on the screen? is it supposed to turn on and off if the ignition is on or off? i have no clue. Installed it on an atv
Please email us at sales@apexproductgroup.com and our team will answer as soon as possible!
@PlaystationJunkie509 i'm thinking of getting this for my 250x. how do you like it? i mostly ride trail, but i'm going to convert my bike to be street legal to get from one trail head to the next.
can i install one of these on my pit bike ???
I would think it would just get your speed from GPS, why take it from the tire?
+Ryan Fonseca You can use GPS for your speed and distance. The default setting from us is the wheel sensor though and we recommend using the wheel sensor. GPS works but it is just not as accurate. With the areas that customers are riding when using these meters sometimes the GPS signal can get weak. When that happens the speed reading can get inaccurate. That will also affect the trip distance and total mileage. This can be a bad thing if you are going off of your trip distance for fuel consumption.
exaaaaactly what I was thinking!! also wheel sensor is useless if you're popping wheelies half the time! :) Brrrrraaaappppp!!!!
Does it work on yamaha banshee 350 ?
+Anas saleh We do offer a kit for the Yamaha Banshee. You would just need to use the wall charger to charge the internal battery because the Banshee has an AC electrical system.
is this available for a 2011 yz450f?
Yes it is. We offer a model specific kit for the 2011 YZ450F. Our part number for the kit is 912-300.
PLEASE aks a real electrican how to wire this propperly! YOu can get some SEAL Conectors for a few bugs at Amazon to build a Y-Adapter or an Inline Adapter.
Solder ,shrink wrap,& silicone, water tight & it will never fail.
i couldnt understand it its all in Spanish
... You're not seriously advising people drill holes in their brake components ... yikes
